In my neighborhood, so I want to like it, but it is so up and down. Got wings. Any reason I cant get Buffalo style without the bourbon? Settled for another sauce. Five or six exotic choices, just not the familiar one. Much of the very small menu is just creatively overdone. I appreciate unique items, but everything? The bar is solid. You can come here and drink. No problem. Excellent beer selection. Felt the wings were undercooked, as in rubbery and hard to pull off the bone. Asked if they would cook them longer. My waitress said, she asked. The answer...no. They did offer to remake them. My table service was fine. McKenzie was a pleasant waitress. No complaints there. Just feel like I have to work too hard. With the menu, the kitchen, the staff. Cancelled my multi-meat cheeseburger order and will go down the street a bit. I notice the crowds seem smaller for a Friday night compared to about a year ago. First time I have seen the garage doors left closed. Have not been served by the same person after my first few visits. Last visit spoke with a staff member, he was leaving. Nice guy, great service. That was in November. Hope Mission Ave succeeds. Will try again in a few months...Again.

I love all of their beer selections. Perfect location and great place to chill for lunch and or dinner or just get wasted and stay for as long as you can. Start drinking on an empty stomach and you will forget to eat. Which means youll keep drinkning and enjoying your time. People might even like you better, and you might have some liquid courage. But if youre too close to the sidewalk people might ask you for money, I always offer them beer. I actually bought someone beer one time, and the guy sat with us, he stank but had some funny stories of girls that he has boinked back in the day and back in the alley... Oh, but Mission ave bar is chill with good food and great beer selection, Im a white ale fan, no pun intended

will not return. food was just ok, paid $50 for two burgers and two drinks. Ordered medium cook on my burger and pretty much got it raw. Service is horrible!!! Only a few tables were full and its a small place and took about 10mins just to get a drink order. after food arrived we never saw our waitress again till after we were almost done with our food. no refill, and a change in waitress. i had to track someone down just to get our check. Dont ruin your night with this place.

A decent experience at Mission Ave Bar. Food menu was actually pretty good. Had a salad and was very pleased. Prices tend to be a touch on the high side . . . hence, the 4 star rating. Environment clean and beach-vibe. Service was just average. I sat with an empty beer glass for too long. I tried to flag down a bartender for service and saw that he was too busy texting on his cell phone. Really? Overall a nice, but coulda-been-better experience.

Sitting at the bar writing this review. 1st, service is exceptional! Bartenders name is Guy and he is all over. I had the Mission Avenue burger and it was terrific! Great ambience, staff is on it and the food is very good. The couple next to me had the wings and they looked good too. Full bar and 36 beers on tap, a great find (I was referred here) My new burger spot in Oceanside, stop in and enjoy yourself!

Extreamly poor service, took 5 minutes to get a table wiped clean for us while they werent even busy. & didnt get out drink order for another 5 minutes. All the waitresses are kinda trashy and spend most of their time at the guys aka marines tables, never said a word to us... Never coming here again. Not worth it.

The open design of the restaurant really lets you feel connected to the heart of downtown oceanside. They offer craft cocktails with your choice or a lot of top shelf liquor selections at their bar. Their menu items are very smart and they also offer a balance between heavy foods and lighter more healthier dishes.

What a great selection of beer, cocktails, and food! Lots of variety, plenty of gluten-free options, including fried food. (Thats always exciting! ) Great spot for lunch and day drinking. (Probably good at night too, but Ive only been in the daytime. ) The service has always been exceptional, too.

Great vibe, amazing eats, and fantastic service. The owners go above and beyond with this location. Glad to see a great business flourish in Oceanside. Beer options are amazing. ..but the mission ave scramble and lamb burger are some plates to try for sure :)

Wow, food was great! I am pretty picky and I was impressed. Bacon Shrimp... Well, its Bacon Shrimp, it can be bad, it wasnt, it was awesome. Jerk Wings, Ahi on Fried Green Tomatoes it was all great! Service was great, beer was great. Arizona will be back!!

A must stop in Oceanside, we hand apps and a drink. Special, I have never had Bone Marrow outside my home, when Mom cooked it for my dad (50 yrs ago). It was unbelievable, so good, great job Mission Ave.
