I had the amazing experience of having Ohana Cafe cater my wedding reception! Becky was so easy to work with and really cared about the details going into the party. We got married on Kauai and had our reception back in San Diego, so the Ohana Cafe really fit into our luau / bring the island to the mainland vibe! I highly recommend Ohana Cafe and Becky for any catering needs (she even preformed a hula dance for our guests and led a dance-along for people to join!). It really does feel like you are working with their Ohana and they welcomed us with open arms. All of our guests LOVED the food- especially the coconut shrimp and coconut rice! We had my uncle roast a full pig on a spit so our guests did not have the pleasure of tasting the meat from Ohana Cafe- which I can vouche for personally as delicious! My favorite easy meal is the teriyaki chicken bowl WITH COCONUT RICE (you will NOT be dissapointed!). Overall could not have hoped for a better catering experience! Mahalo and Aloha!

The food isnt authentic, but it does the trick if you are craving hawaiian. They have a local style breakfast plate with white rice, eggs, spam, etc. Not bad, but not great. No Tabasco which is crazy cuz that stuff is at every plate lunch place in HI. Also, they need to serve the food in the traditional Styrofoam plate, not the plastic kind, stupid I know, but it is how it should be done.

Small portions...the French toast order was not even enough for a 7 year old kid. My sausage was still half frozen when they served it. When the tour group left it was dead empty on a sunny Sunday morning...maybe not very popular with the locals for a reason? (But I cant say whether the Hawaiian food was good or not)

Classic Hawaiian BBQ plates and bowls at fair pricing. The chef and lady running the counter seemed to be owner operated, which generally shows in terms of service and quality. At least it did in this case. Nice people and good food. I didnt ask them, but I wouldnt be surprised if they were from Hawaii.

Chicken plate was terrible.. Got the food home and it wasnt edible. The meat was gross, and likely from a week ago. You are better off eating a strangers toenails than dining here. Even if I were starving at sea, lost without hope, eating the raft would be better than this absolute disaster..

Ohana Cafe is great! They have some excellent, true hawaiian food. They even serve spam, which is a definite staple to the hawaiian experience. I had the chicken katsu and my co worker had the kalua pork. The best part was the shaved ice for dessert. Highly recommended!

One of my must stops in La Jolla. Kind of pricey, but that is the norm around there. Make sure you experience the island life and order a spam musubi with whatever meal you end up getting!

Recently dropped the O so they are just "Hana Cafe". Very good food and nice island vibe. We had the Maui Scramble and the Chicken teriyaki bowls. Good prices for La Jolla!

Very slow service even though there was no crowd. They did not prepare my food as I ordered it. The Kahlua pork is very salty!

Its all about the rice. Perfectly cooked - not mushy or hard. I had the poke bowl & it was nicely seasoned.
