Stopped by here for the first time and really had a great lunch. Things got off to a great start when I ordered the garlic edamame -- which was hands down the best appetizer I had as far as I can remember (oh so garlicy)! The main platter was a solid as well. Tasty miso sauce drizzled salad with rich tasting teriyaki salmon, crunchy mixed tempura and good California rolls. Service was very very attentive and extremely friendly (literally no empty cup or plate stayed on our table longer than a minute!). The very relaxing and soothing modern interior design tops it all off.

Loved the Laguna O, so my wife and I had to try out Irvine. For starters out server Cody was simply amazing. The way he described the dishes was nothing short of brush to canvas. He also recommended the best sake we ever had. Kubota manjyu. The good...... It just might be the best sushi you will ever have. The Toro from Spain and the yellowtail were terrific. I would recommend this place to anyone that can appreciate the difference in quality with the higher grade sushi and spectacular service.

not a traditional Japanese dining experience. 1. the Ramen came out first instead of last. actually our whole meal was served out of order with the fresh uni and oysters last. 2. the sea urchin pasta had too much of an overpowering cream sauce and no visible uni pieces 3. the shogoku oysters had too much ponzu sauce. this place does get points for their nice decor and attentive staff. food mediocre. not coming back

The sashimi Omakase was a little underwhelming presentation wise, but the flavor and freshness of the fish was excellent. The spicy fried octopus was really good, just the right amount of crunch. The Salmon sushi just melted in your mouth. Parking is a bit of an issue as the lot is small and its on a busy corner. The Soba Noodles were really good.

Great food; music is terrific - light jazz piano, etc., no loud vocals; great atmosphere with the blue decor; but they never answer their phone. Whats up with that???? Wait staff and servers and friendly and very knowledgeable; sushi chefs do a great job. atmosphere is very relaxing and I wish I could eat there daily.

I just had one of the best sushi and sashimi dinners of my life! The chefs were very engaging and helpful! Their dishes are very creative and extremely fresh and delicious. I will be back here again for sure! I highly recommend this restaurant! It is an amazing experience!
