Im originally from San Gabriel - the land of the best Chinese food in America. That is an accurate statement. Im also not Chinese, so I dont know what to order other than what my Chinese friends tell me to order when I was in San Gabriel. When I discovered this place...I was confused that this place was in Irvine. When this place first opened, I knew it was authentic....I had no idea what to order and I didnt have my Chinese friends to help me order. I resorted to remembering what my friends told me to order back in San Gabriel....FAN TUAN. Their Fan Tuan...is one of the best Ive had....and I had some pretty good ones in San Gabriel. For those who dont know, it is basically a breakfast burrito, but instead of a tortilla, it is sticky rice. Theres a scrambled egg with chives inside, pork sung (dried pork flakes), cruller (a fried stick - like a donut stick if you will), and pickled vegetables. Its a fat bundle of goodness and is one of the biggest Fan Tuans Ive had ever. If you dont know what to order, do yourself a favor and order a fan tuan, along with a egg crepe with pork sung, and their soy milk or peanut milk, or a wintermelon tea if youre feeling more on the refreshing sweet side. Dont eat your meal without the garlic sauce. The pork belly Bao that is by the register is either the BEST THING EVER or is just average because it is dry- but its a great quick meal. Get soy milk in a giant bowl and put sugar in it and drink it....that seems to be how youre supposed to eat it. This place gets crazy on the weekend mornings. Youre welcome.

* Radish Pastry 蘿蔔絲餅 | $1.70 & Onion Pastry 蟹殼黃 | $1.70 We started our breakfast with Radish Pastry and Onion Pastry while waiting for the rest of the items. The flaky crust was tasty. We both thought the onion pastry was better than the radish pastry. It had more flavor. * Salty Soy Milk 鹹豆漿 | $2.75 Must order item for us at Taiwanese breakfast place is salty soy milk. So satisfying. * Fried Radish Cake 蘿蔔糕 | $4.50 Fried radish cake had a crispy crust on the outside. Inside layer was very moist and soft. Love the garlic sauce. We also like to add a little bit of spicy chili sauce to go with it. * Marinated Beef w/ Pickled Veggie 牛肉酸菜燒餅 | $5.00 * Marinated Pork in Flaky Oven Bun 豬肉醬肉燒餅 | $4.55 We ordered one beef and one pork “sandwiches”. They forgot to add the pickled vegetables to our beef sandwich though. I like the flaky oven bun a lot. The meat was soft and flavorful. Four Sea is expensive, but we don’t have many options in Orange County for Taiwanese breakfast. Their food is pretty decent. So people don’t mind paying a little bit more for it. We enjoy it and are glad we don’t have to drive too far for a good bowl of salty soy milk.

Always my boyfriend and Is favorite place to get Taiwanese breakfast! We always get the Rice Roll (With crueller, egg and pickles), salty soy milk, and a fried crueller on the side! Cruellers are like chinese donuts and theirs arent too oily. We havent tried other Taiwanese bfast places around the Irvine area, but they taste pretty authentic. Prices are a little high for certain items, but still like a $12-$14 brunch for 2 people! Order+pay and then find a place to sit! They walk around with buckets for dirty dishes, so that is a little weird. But overall, a good place to try Taiwanese brunch!

Absolutely disgusting that they gave us two a pork rice rolls when we ordered vegetarian ones and specifically asked if it was vegetarian 3 times. I cannot believe the incompetent people who worked there and poisoned us with meat. I absolutely hate this place and I would never ever come here again. I dont know how they are still in business when they arent even able to take a simple order.

A great place for breakfast or brunch. Pretty authentic Chinese style dim sums. The flavor is great, and there a lot of varieties. The only disadvantage is that is can get super crowded during the weekend mornings, unless you come in before 9am, which most people probably will not. I hope they can open a new store in Irvine some day.

No other place in Irvine offers and authentic and salty and sweet soy beans milk and traditional Taiwanese breakfast items like the Four Seas restaurant. Come here for a lazy Saturday and Sunday brunch! Be prepared for about a 20 minute wait if youre coming for weekend brunch.

Great Shanghai and Taiwan region Chinese breakfast served early in the morning. They have great small baked sesame pastries both savery and sweet ones. They also have xiao long bao. Please note that they close at 3 pm.

Bomb Chinese breakfast. The soy milk comes unsweetened and you can add sugar to your taste. The only thing I dont like is that you have to fight for a table, or people hover over you while waiting for you to finish.

I love Four Sea Restaurant. Chinese breakfast for the win. Ive gone to their Hacienda Heights and Arcadia locations prior and theyre all the same. Would be better if they can use refried you tiao in the fan tuan.

This place is great for Chinese breakfast. If you do not speak Chinese, you may find some difficulty ordering, but the employees try their best. The prices are reasonable and the place is open early hours!

This would be three stars in Taiwan but here there is no other competition in Irvine for Taiwanese breakfast so it get another star for that. Food is"not bad". Call ahead if you order out.

Great Chinese breakfast and have a pretty good selection of food. Unfortunately when I was there, the Chinese donut in everything I ordered was soggy, but will give it another chance.

For those looking for authentic Chinese breakfast food, this is the place. On weekend mornings, its often crowded, but the line moves fast and you get your food rather quickly.

Authentic Taiwanese breakfast place. Soy milk is high quality. Rice ball is huge and delicious, especially the kind with picked veggie and marinated egg(滷蛋酸菜飯糰). Recommend!

Great price and great pantry selection. Very authentic Chinese breakfast. Typical asian food court setup so dont expect to be seated, find your own table!

For authentic Chinese breakfast, this is the best place to be. It gets super crowded in the morning so order your food ahead of the time.

Food is Ok. Overpriced for what it is. I guess thats just the price for it being one of the few options in Irvine.

Coming here from Temecula is sure worth the excellent drive in eating a different style of Chinese delicacies...

Walk in. Look at menu. Order. Some minimal wait, depending on your order, and off you go. Great stuff and staff.
