This place used to be much better when they first opened a few years ago. They may be under new management, or the existing management is deeply asleep at the wheel. We went there recently and ordered appetizers to start. Right off the bat, they got our order wrong by bringing out a vegetable roll dish instead of a chicken roll dish. So, we told them about their mistake and the girl took the dish back apologetically. However, some guy came back 5 minutes later with the same exact dish we sent back! I told him that it was the same dish we sent back. So, he went back laughingly and another few minutes later we received the right dish. Then, when we began eating the deep fried chicken rolls, we all noticed a very strong rotten taste coming from one of the ingredients in the roll. However, we couldnt tell if it was bad chicken or a bad vegetable. The rotten flavor was horrid to say the least. Their dumplings and rolls all had almost no flavor and the dipping sauce was equally cheap and flavorless. The Satay items on their list were ridiculous. Instead of being fresh and newly charbroiled strips of meat/chicken, they Satay looked like pressed cardboard and tasted just like cardboard made from pressed cheap meat parts. Needless to say, we are never coming back here again. I almost never leave reviews, but this experience has to be shared especially since they are not a cheap restaurant. If im paying $12 to $20 per plate, I expect top quality.

We have had good meals in the past, but this time the chicken was tough and the Tum Yum Soup was bland. The most disturbing thing was the downright rude service, not from the server, but the Manager. Granted, we came in to the Restaurant 15 minutes prior to closing, but they were fine about seating us. After about being there about 20 minutes and halfway through the meal the Manager or Owner came to the table, reached in front of us over the soup pot and checked to see if we were finished. He did this about 3 times, trying to rush us along, so we hurried trying to finish our meal. Finally he came with the bill and did not say a word and did not ask if everything was o.k. Well we got the hint, we asked him if we could take the meal home and he brought us to go cartons. Like I said the place has been good in the past and maybe the guy wanted to go home or needed to be there later at night, but thats not the point. I have been in the hospitality business myself and I know if you dont take care of your customers, somebody else will. Maybe the Manager or Owner needs to find a new line of work. Obviously we will never eat there again because of the poor service.

Thai Bamboo - My wife and I have enjoyed a number of delicious meals here and have always been treated like family. If you are new to Thai food and you tell them what you tend to like, they are very good at helping you pick out something to fit your palate. If you like it hot or mild, they will have a number of items you will be happy with. The decor in the restaurant makes for a nice ambiance as you enjoy your meal. They were attentive to everything we needed (eg. done dishes gone in seconds, they did not put stuff where our baby could hurt himself or make a mess, etc). They seemed to know what we needed before we knew! If you come here you will leave full and wanting to come back soon! We had not been there in 3 months and the waiter remembered my wife, myself, as well as what we ordered. I could not believe it! That is what kind of a place this is. Even if it is your first time here, you will feel welcome and like they really enjoyed your visit. DID I MENTION THAT THEIR FOOD IS FABULOUS ! ! !

The ambience is good .The Thai food has different flavour here and presentation is awesome. The coconut fried rice is my favourite and is served in two halves of tender cocunut. I scoop out the tender cocunut after the rice . The pineapple fries rice is my second choice and is slightly sweetish with raisins and cashews. The quantity per serving along with one appetizer should be good for two. The service is bad ,often the waiters dont understand what we need and I have sent them back couple of times to change to what I want.

Firstly, it took 10 minutes just for somebody to come to our table. And then the guy asked very unprofessionally what wed like to order. When we asked him if wasnt going to ask us for drinks first, he said very rudely that thats what he was saying. When we showed our displeasure and were leaving, he didnt even show the courtesy to ask us what was wrong. I guess it was asking for too much to be treated as valued customers. We left and will never go back to the place and advise all to stay away from this place.

Very good Thai food. Lots of variety. My fav here is the coconut fried rice. They literally serve you the coconut fried rice in a tender coconut which you can scoop in after you finish the rice. The rice is well made with tofu, vegetables and light sauces making it taste perfect. Be specific while ordering if you are vegetarian and dont even eat egg, they will take care of it. Very considerate staff and very good service. You could skip the Thai ice tea.

My friend just took me to this place yesterday for lunch and oh boy....it was so so delicious. I got the Pad See Ew and it was way better than many other places that I have been to. Also, the lunch time rush was so crazy. The place was packed, but they still managed to service us in a speedy, nice, and very professional. Will come back for sure.

Thai Bamboo was truly disappointing. The menu looks good, but the food tasted awful. The Tom Yum soup was very bland and the Pad Thai was the worst I have ever had. This meal should have cost no where near $30. I will never visit this restaurant again!

Very disappointing Thai food. I got the Yellow Curry Chicken, it came out like water, no flavor, like they make it out of packets and stir in with water. I dont recommend this place. Try Spice Thai in Lakeforest for top of the line Thai in the area.

ive ordered the chicken pad thai a few times now and have finally given up on this place. I wanted a 7 out of 10 spicy level and was bland. Chicken was rubbery and noodles were even worse. Quality is awful. Last time I will eat here.

Food was ok, service lacking. I ordered summer roll and drunken noodle. Drunken noodle came out first like 5 minutes, sat there cooling while I waited for summer roll to arrive and eat. Summer roll tasted OK, drunken noodle was bland.

Super fast service, very friendly. Quail Hill location has better service and parking than the District (FUBAR parking situation). Yummy food. Minor gripes: cheesy music, and bad acoustics - screaming children can ruin a meal.

Fast and friendly service. Maybe it was an off day for the chef as my noodles were a little overdone, but the taste was perfect. For a busy place they got us in and out during lunch hour very quickly...much appreciated.
