Anna, the owner, is a wonderful person. Not only does her establishment make great food, but she really helps you guide through what to pick from the menu when you are new to the food as I was. She reminded me of my mother, when she said I want you to make sure you eat your food so I wont give you to much bread. I thought that was very sweet and thoughtful...I ate all the bread though since I eat so much :-). I Started with the Fried Calamari, description below, [Fresh calamari dipped in our famous secret batter, fried to perfection and topped with our sarza criolla. (marinated onions with lime juice)] It was simply amazing! Fresh and not heavily battered. As well as the Empanadas, three handmade, flaky shell crusts stuffed with lean steak or chicken, served with a spicy, tangy dipping sauce on the side. that were great with the green sauce (sorry forgot what it was called). They added a bit of kick to the starter. I had their House Specialites, Bisteck a lo Pobre [ A tender juicy thin steak topped with two fried eggs, served with fried plantains, french fries and steamed rice]. I felt more that I was at someones house for dinner and not a restaurant. Anna and I spoke about Peru, our families (yes baby pictures of her grandson and my children were viewed) and she even gave me tips on where to get some Gourmet Peruvian food in San Francisco. Great experience. Take the family or go alone...but go and enjoy!

Visiting Laguna Beach and decided to treat some new friends to Peruvian food. Being Peruvian myself I was crossing my fingers the experience would be a good one. It sure was!!! The food was amazing and the service outstanding! The prices are pretty good for the portion sizes. The Chicha Morada homemade and honestly, just like my abuelita would make it! Made me miss her. My only regret was not having taken any pictures! Sorry! Dishes ordered were: Parihuela, Lo Saltado, Tallarín Verde, Seco Norteño (thats what I had!) and Chicha Morada to drink along with Inka Cola and some Cusqueñas (beer). Highly recommend!

Today was a great day. I had an opportunity to tour Blizzard and had lunch at my first Peruvian reataurant. Inkas has a modern warm look with quaint outside dining. It was a beautiful sunny California day, so we ate outside. I ordered up a cold beer, and a beef combinado. The meal arrived on a large oval plate. It was a delicious combination of steak strips, onions, and tomatoes with a huge scoop of rice. The course was flavorful with tastes of exotic seasonings. All delicious and definitely worth repeating the experience.

It was a nice day so, I sat outside, where theres a nice breeze and there was a lot of shade. The menu was impressive, with a simple and organized look. The service was pleasant and very quick, but... the chicken was dry like the desert and the french cut potatoes lacked a certain freshness, like they had been sitting under the warmer all morning. I would come back for the ambience, but not the chicken saltado. The other inka place I know in Irvine has better tasting food and lower prices. Just my two cents.

This is my favorite of all Peruvian restaurants in the Southern CA area. I have been to them all since my ex-wife is Peruvian and my kids are half Peruvian. I used to live in Irvine and now live in Sugar Land Texas just outside of Houston and I can tell you that this place is great. Ana is great and her sister and mother are always great too. I visit Inkas almost every time I go back to CA to visit my family. :)

Pretty crowded during weekdays and has long waiting time but service is quick once you order. Peruvian and almost every noodle air rice dish has the same flavour or curry taste. The fries with the green sauce made of cilantro and milk is too good and thats what makes it different . Suitable for vegetarians and has closer resemblance to Indian rice and curry. Spicy is really spicy !!!

Food is OK but the mentality of the management is questionable. Why refuse giving me a slice of butter to go with my bread for to go orders? You serve it for dine in but what is the difference for to go? The attitudes are always hit and miss over here. I come in happy and walk out confused often. Not certain if they care to keep customers coming back or not.

4/2/16 Service was terrible. The waiter Dan does not know what he is doing at all. My steak dish ordered medium rare came out well done! The Owners daughter was informed and she could not care one bit about the service or food. I will never go to this place again, nor recommend it to anyone. This place use to give great service and great food! No more!!!

It was casual dining, which was perfect for lunch. It is amazing how such a small staff comes together to run the place. It is owned by the nicest Peruvian woman and her daughter, and you can see how much their hardwork has paid off by coming here during the day and seeing how packed it is. Great food, good people.

The food was decent and the prices are average. The place is small and empty, the service is nice. We ordered lomo saltaldo de pollo and fish ceviche. The lomo was tasty and well done not bad at all. The ceviche was medium spicy and delicious. I would give this place four starts.

My family and I ate here last December in 2016. The food was pretty good. It was nice to finally eat Peruvian food after not having it for a while. We had lomo saltado, ceviche mixto, seafood mixto and chupo de camerones. Also we drank chicha which is a national Peruvian drink.

Its okay for Peruvian. Lomo Saltado seemed saucier than usual and meat was tougher than expected. Flavors a little lacking. Also tried pasta with breaded chicken. Chicken was salty and pasta was bland. Not bad, just not as good as other Peruvian restaurants Ive been to.

I had the lomo saltado with steak and it was delicious! Their guacamole salsa was a perfect topping for the dish and Im sure complements well with any of their other food! Parking is a little tough so if youre driving you may want to plan ahead or find street parking.

The service was great! The waiter was funny, friendly, and very welcoming. My first time at the place and first time eating Peruvian food, I really enjoyed it. The food was fast and hot! I had Lomo Saltado and I really liked.

This is my favorite of the Inca Mama/Inca Restaurants. The family who owns this is so very gracious. Food is wonderful! My only complaint is that their iced tea isnt brewed. So I order hot tea and a glass of ice.

If you see blizzard staff here. Tell them the new Overwatch patch SUCKS, and they can take their business elsewhere. Heck, tell them if they want the meal, they better have a subscription to your restaurant.

I like coming to Inkas. I usually go on Friday and Saturday nights with family or friends. The staff is great and the food delicious. I am always greeted with a smile and leave full and happy.
