I am so disappointed its unbelievable!!! My fiancé and I have had lunch and dinner here multiple times since opening and have always had a pleasant experience. The food and service has always been top notch. This is why when choosing a rehearsal dinner venue Westwood immediately came to mind. We went into Westwood spoke to a manager by the name Nick I believe and confirmed availability and info regarding the banquet room. He advised it was a $500 minimum however a menu had not been established yet. He did give us a brochure detailing a family style dinner than would probably be an option however again a menu was undecided at that time (mid-late January). Nick urged us to contact back for booking after February 1st as the menu would be final at that time. I called back today and spoke to Heather who said as far as she knew it was an open menu and that I could reserve the space. I asked for confirmation as this differed from what we had previously been told. At this point a woman by the name of Sheran got on the phone without introduction and rudely asked what I needed??? I explained why I was calling for the second time and she asked the date I was interested in. I replied May 22nd, at this point she repeatedly asked "when", "when"...then said "what day of the week is that"? WOW I advised it was a Thursday, she never asked at what time but said it was unavailable Wed-Sun it was used as overflow only. I then proceeded to inform her we had spoke to Nick, she didnt appear to care or offer any sort of remorse for the miss-information given a mere 3 weeks prior. I asked when this was decided and if there was someone else I could speak too and at this point I was informed she was the GM and no other arrangements could be made. I am honestly speechless at the lack of professionalism, and Sherans demeanor during our conversation. I am so disheartened as we are loyal Fansler followers and can only hope this was an isolated incident.

Went there tonight with close friends to celebrate a birthday. Made reservations in advance for a party of 7. We were seated immediately upon arrival (but then again, it was 5:30 on a Monday night). We arrived a little early and I asked the waiter if they had Happy Hour margaritas. He said he would have to ask. Why he said that, I dont know because their recording when i called for reservations clearly gave the time for happy hour which ends at 6:00 p.m. (it was probably ~5:25). Got that cleared up and had my happy hour margarita. Was good. Ordered the chips with tri-tip, also good. Party arrived and we all ordered. I think most everyone was happy with their meals but you have to keep in mind that 3 in my party of 7 were young men in the their twenties who were easy to please with free beer & food. They had ZERO complaints. My friend and his wife said they were happy with their meals, and since they were guest I will try to just take it at face value. My wife ordered baby back ribs with salad and I ordered their 14 oz rib eye steak with salad. They had a blurb on the menu about how their beef is aged for 28 days, etc... and so youre expecting something kinda special for the $27 bucks youre paying. Ive eaten steaks from SaveMart that were much better than the one I was served. It was simply a tough steak. I didnt even eat it all -- and thats not how I generally roll with a steak On the positive side I ordered it medium rare and they did a pretty good job on the cooking (maybe a bit more towards medium than the rare). My wifes ribs were dry. When we arrived home my wife commented that she would not choose to return there in the future. So... it will not be a future destination of choice for us. ___ I give it 3 stars because everyone else (besides the wife and I) seemed satisfied enough. If it were just my wife and I --> it would give it 2 stars because the salads were good.

This place has potential but a few things are holding it back from being great. The first thing is their sauce is not very good. They have an original sauce and a peppercorn sauce. Both are very bland and taste like dressed up ketchup. This right off the bat prevents them from being a great bbq place. Also some of the sides are hit and miss. I was at a table with 3 other people and we all tried each others food. The mashed potatoes were great but the baked beans left a lot to desire. The meat was delicious and was tender and juicy. I hope the owners read this and make some improvements because this place has a lot of potential to be great. Update. I went back. Food was okay and the sauce still sucks. Side dishes still hit and miss. 1/3 of the restaurant wasnt opened yet we still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. Also everything is over priced and they wont let you get certain sides if you get a sandwich which is ridiculous. Also if you want a baked potato you must give up 2 sides and pay $1.50 extra which makes no sense because potatoes are cheap and easy to make. Also the waitress not once offered to refill our drinks. I wish this place were better because I like to support local businesses but Id say go to Famous Daves or even Dickeys over this place. Better food and cheaper prices. P.S. its not hard to make a good BBQ sauce. Your sauce tastes like brown sugar paste. It has no tang, no spice, no savoriness or any redeeming qualities. Its hands down the most boring and forgettable BBQ sauce Ive ever had, and Ive had A LOT.

First time visitor, Food was delicious, too many T.V.s, very loud and one show that I did not need. To my disbelief there was a child who walked across one of the shared tables four times. At one point the child was lying across the table playing with the parent’s phone and kicking his feet like this was just a normal day lying around at home. This is not something one is prepared to see in any restaurant. Our server Dean was less than enthusiastic about dealing with the event. After some intense prodding and mentioning that this was an unsanitary practice I convinced him to get the manager. Only after I complained loudly and repeatedly did the patrons who shared the table with this atrocious family and are only six inches from the child walking and lying on their table, actually complain to Dean the server who looked to have the same level of enthusiasm about dealing with the event. When the busser came to clean the table I informed him about the event and suggested that the tablecloth should be changed. After the horrified look left his face he promptly removed the tablecloth. At least one employee recognized that this is unacceptable behavior. The worst part is that the childs father was laughing and making a joke about the entire event. I traveled a long way to try this restaurant for my birthday and I doubt I would make the trip again. I do have one other regret; I did not get a photo or video of this horrific event. Sincerely, Mortified in Hanford CA
