This was my second time at Maroo. My first experience was great but my second started off well, than it went down south. I read prior review but didn’t take their words for it. We were a party of 7. The waitress started off kind and friendly. After we received out food, which was great. About 10minute into it she came back with some to-go boxes. We felt rushed but kept on eating due to the fact that we just started. As soon as we felt we were ready the waitress came back and said with an attitude, “ I don’t see you guys packing are you guys waiting for dessert?” I felt that was really rude of her. First all we were still eating and she already presented us with our boxes and as soon as we were done she already tried to rush us out. We weren’t loud or disrespectful all which I confuse me with the service we were getting. I also felt there was a little discriminated towards us too. I mean its silly because we’re Asian and so is the owner and the workers. Base on the vibe I was getting and being rushed. I noticed they would smile and took care of the Caucasian promptly (no offense). I just noticed it as I was observing and from prior reviews. The food was great but unfortunately the service was not. This will be our last time there.

Ive only been there once but they have poor service. We were there waiting for a good 10 minutes at the door. No one came. As soon as a light skin couple walked in, the hostess was there. She overlooked us and ask the other couple. Thank goodness the other couple were kind enough to tell the hostess that we were there first. Honestly, that couple was standing right behind us. The hostess completely ignored me and my friend. The hostess then lied that she has no more booth seating so she placed us in the middle of the restaurant. There were other people sitting in booths. Then she placed the couple after us in a booth. Didnt bring us the warm napkins like they were known to have done. My friend had to ask them. In all, it was a bad experience. I would not go and support them. Im not sure what we did to offend these people. We werent even loud. We were respectful, even giving the hostess the benefit of the doubt. In all honesty, we shouldnt have even given them our service that day.

real google user here . This is my second time at maroo. Couldnt remember my first experience so i went again. First off since the waiter (a white guy, didnt catch his name) tried to make me get my own water. Say he left a pitch at the end of the table in a party of 20. one pitcher for the whole group wtf. I had to ask for water 4 times. Now i know. I order the crab soup, volcano spicy roll, and shrimp roll. Food was bland plain and dont match the description. Crab soup plain dont have that seafood taste or fusion. volcano roll was not even roll up nicely, not spicy. the portion was very small. My bill was 30$ after tip and I still had to finish my friends plate. I feel the waiter didnt want to serve us because the tip was included. I should have spoken to the manager but since it my friend bday i didnt want to go there it would have set me in worst possible mood. WORST. $30 EVER SPENT.

Just ate here. Horrible food. I had the bim bi bap, it was super oily and bland. Wife had the sea food tufu soup, we told the server she thought the tufu was spoiled. Manager came back and said that the soup was fine and it was supposed to taste that way. We shared a seafood pancake and that was also super oily. We notice that other people in the restaurant were ordering sushi rolls, maybe that was the only thing that is edible there. I have been to other korean places in fresno and have also been to south Korea so I know what good korea food taste like and this place is not no where near what I call descent korea food. I dont know why there is so many people in the restaurant and why this place has a good review.

Only decent korean food restaurant in fresno/clovis. I was born and raised in korea so I know what authentic and original korean food taste and look like. Ive been here few times as a large group to just one friend. Service and environment wise, they were good. However if you are from korea, their food is very mediocre. You just cant compare it to what you used to have in korea. Their price is very reasonable compared to samos kitchen(only other korean bbq and they will Rip you off). If you are a local wanting to try other types of food, id recommend it for sure. Try their lunch or dinner special for "spicy chicken" with some kimchi. I really like their seafood 순두부 (soondubu).

One of my favorite sushi places in Fresno. The servers are great and the food is very fresh. Menu is Japanese and Korean. I eat mainly the sushi and love the Albacore Tataki roll. We tried the sashimi salad for the first time after numerous visits and truly enjoyed it.

The hostess (most likely owner of restaurant) was extremely friendly and helpful with explaining the authentic Korean menu. Ordered a basic chicken, rice, vegetable dish with a sweet and spicy sauce and it was delicious. Prompt and professional service. No complaints.

I love their dressing. So simple but perfect. I always get the soba combo, its always consistently good. Parking is kind of weird, their lot is at the building next next door. We always try to find street parking when possible. Service is kind of slow.

I love their mini rolls!! Why do rolls have to be so big in the US?? These mini ones are perfect to pop in your mouth, the way sushi should be!! Service isnt the best but its great food so we grin and bare it.

Ive lived in Fresno for 14 years and eaten sushi all over town. I can attest that this is the best spot in Fresno. Kind of an odd location and slightly pricey but its worth it.

Really great comfort food in winter. As other comments said, people come fast and go fast, food is served fast too.
