The food fusion here is incredibly inventive! I do love the rice buns, those by far were my favorite. Now the lack of salt or any type of seasoning on the fries with the pork, granted I got the sauce on the side (my husband doesnt like may bases sauces) but you should not be relying on a sauce for the season aspect. My husbands taco was not made the way he asked for it, so it had to be remade once we brought it to their attention. Sad part is the young man looked upset that it had to be remade. Also my husbands wings came out 10 minutes later than the rest of the food, which can be most unfortunate. We had to remind the server of my strawberry lemonade twice before I actually got it. Now here is the odd thing, when I asked what her recommended (the cashier) he Strongly recommend the short ribs. When describing other options he used words like "You can pick your own protein, but only get the short ribs" which naturally made me want to try the other proteins as he put it. The pork was underwhelming in comparison to the short ribs and the rice buns, it just lacked seasoning again. Its almost as though he knows the other protein (pork) left the tastebuds wanting. Plus he seemed tired, like he didnt want to be there, if thats the case it would explain a lot. Now the short ribs were quite amazing, no joking about that!! The flavor explosion from the meat combined with the crispy rice bun had me eating the whole thing!! Will I go back, I dont know but if I do I hope the service and other food options are held to the same high standard as the short ribs are.

Very nice and modern environment. Restaurant located in a nice part of town. Staff was very kind and helpful with explaining the food items. They even gave their suggestions which did not disappoint! I got the short rib bowl which was super tasty! Short ribs are boneless and will have you wanting more. The rice will stick to the paper that it is served on, but tis is life, not a big deal. They do a brown rice option as well. The price was slightly on the higher end for the amount it served. You do leave the restaurant sort of smelling like a grill on your clothes and hair so not a place to go before going to the movies or something. Perhaps they will increase ventilation during the hotter summer. Overall, great staff, environment with good food and experience. Would definitely go back.

Best new resturant in Fresno! Delicious Asian fusion. Toss the burger and crappy Mexican food for once folks. Thank God !!! (and Korean Japanese people,) for KOJA Fresno. I used to live just blocks away from the original store in Berkeley and after my unwilling exile to Fresno had absolutely no options for healthy food. The menu is simple and theres no bad choices. Great meats, better greens then youll find at whole foods, and wonderful garnishes that make these diverse dishes light up in your mouth. Paleo people come on down, just hold the rice and you have an instant meal thats nearly 100% Paleo. (Not sure about the sauces etc.)

Been wanting to try this place the reviews are great but.... everything was okay nothing that was like wow it was amazing. I got the short rib bowl, the pork bowl and one of the fries selections they have. All it is a salad that smells like the ocean not the good part of the ocean more of the dying fish and seaweed ocean, the rice is the other half and some little pices of ribs on top of the rice thats all. Rice taste good tho,its just plain white rice. First review Ive ever done

Only reason Im giving 2 stars is because its a nice environment and concept. The prices are decent but food could be much better. The short rib bowl was decent but tacos were small for being almost $4 ea. and the corn tortillas they were on ice cold, Kamikaze fries had alot of toppings but the fries were cold and soggy. Fountain drinks are flat and have no carbonation. Trying too hard to be like Roy Chois Kogi truck and failing miserably.

Great place! Fast-food environment (counter-service only) with a KOrean-JApanese fusion menu (KO-JA, get it?). The food is quite good, the service is excellent, portions are generous, the place is new and clean, the business seems to be flourishing. For a menu that is truly unique and an outstanding fast-food experience, I recommend this place. Ill be going here regularly.

My wife and I ordered Short Rib KoJa and Ahi Tuna Rice Bowl. The very first bite was a WOW. It tasted so good. The Short Rib KoJa is a sandwich except they use rice pattie instead of bread, very creative and special, the taste was so delicious. The Ahi Tuna was so fresh and tasted so good. Definitely will come back again. Highly recommended.

High ratings for good food. Food presentation is very appealing & flavorful. Higher ratings for hospitality. My husband uses a walker & the manager on site was very helpful. He helped us to a table, brought us a menu & later came back to ask us about the food. Definitely will return.

The servers are super polite and nice, I mean like they accept your payment with both hands and bow after youre done, to me being ethnic thats respectful. As for the foods, their Umami fries & kamikaze fries are highly recommended to pair up with any entries. Its super good and unique!

Something different. Ordered the braised pork bowl, and was not disappointed. The portions sizes are reasonable for the price and the food came out almost instantly. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because the food was a bit cold and the soda machine wasnt carbonated at all.

Beef short rib Kona and bowl are amazing. TBH I havent found anything here I didnt like. The Koja patty is a harder rice patty and really only the top half seems to stay together long enough to eat so you might just consider a bowl from the start. Overall excellent.

Food is really really good, price is reasonable, but gosh dammit the cashier who took our order was a rude #%=>&!!! Seriously so rude with an "idgaf" attitude. Rolling eyes while taking my money. Ill second guess eating here in the future based solely on that reason.

Just found this place that other day (rarely go into that Palm and Nees Center) but it was superb! I had two tacos, one beef, one Zen. The beef was melt-in-your good. They also advertised halo halo and shaved ice, which Im excited to try in the future.

The bowls are pretty good and tasty. Good amount of salad and meat. Rice is fresh. Meat cooked very well. But every time I come they are out of home made lemonade. And I didnt like the Koja. The rice was very hard to chew. Like a stone. Bad idea.

If you like sesame oil, chicken, cilantro, and rice, I definitely suggest the Chicken Koju! This a great place for people new to asian food to start. They have a little bit of everything from fish, to chicken, to pork.
