Piaci appears to be a local hangout for Fort Braggs young people. It has been quite crowded the two times weve dined there. We went once some few years ago, and again recently, in order to give them a second try. Im afraid they havent improved. The crust has that bland, nothing cardboard taste and consistency typical of low quality pizza houses. My guess is that such places simply dont understand the light hand and generous amount of olive olive oil needed to create a truly good pizza crust. The toppings included a meager scattering of mushrooms and canned olives. There was no detectable flavor. The sauce was so forgettable, I cant even remember what it tasted like a few days later. No snap of tomato, no hint of herbs, no salty tang...nada. Our family enjoys making pizza at home, from scratch, from time to time. Were by no means experts, but what we can produce in our own electric stove has miles more flavor and freshness than what this heralded pizza place is creating in their large, expensive oven. It may well be that liquor is the main draw of Piaci and that the dulling of the palette this creates is responsible for this restaurant staying in business. It cant be the quality of the pizza which is simply not up-to-snuff. Piaci should employ a skilled pizza chef with an award-winning recipe if they truly care about selling pizzas.

We know our pizza, and the pizza at Piaci is awesome. We ordered a little too much, but, come on, left over pizza is good too. We got two pizzas that had caramelized onions on them - a unique topping that we enjoyed. The "Farmers" and the "Genoa," if I remember correctly. The beer selection was outstanding, and the server was nice enough to allow my wife to taste a couple wines before selecting one. She thought all the wines were great, which speaks to Piacis wine selection as well. The server was a nice guy, and he was timely. The restaurant itself was cool, and we really liked it - but may not be for everyone. It was warm, a little on the small side, and decorated with an eccentric flare. I really liked some of the "trippy" art on the walls. All in all, this place is great and worth checking out if you enjoy great pizza and more of a local vibe.

This place is absolutely amazing. The pizzas are fantastic. I wish we could of sampled them all. The baked Mac and Cheese is to die for ... a must have!! Seating is limited however. Only because its so small. We had to share a table with another couple but we got along famously with them and even shared food. Its a local spot so they have a regular crew that bellies up to the bar but they are friendly and open to outsiders (as long as youre not an a**hole). Their beer selection is all about Nor Cal craft beers and if youre game enough you could get lost in their selection. All in all this is a hidden gem. They could easily fill a bigger place and still have it packed but the small hole in the wall atmosphere only adds to the mystique. EAT HERE (and drink) if youre in the area. You wont be disappointed.

The best gourmet pizza ever!!! Everyone I have ever met that knows about this restaurant loves it and cant get enough! The thin crust with fresh, organic toppings are heavenly! Like spinach, try the Genoa! Like pepperoni, try the New Yorker! There is something for everyone! The pizza is a bit more pricey than other pizza places near by, but it is definitely worth every penny! Also you should try the lunch special, the pesto, with fresh mozzarella sandwich, it is oh so good! I almost forgot to mention the beer, this place prides themselves on their beer selection! Just a tip: Unless you like a very busy, packed restaurant you might want to order your food to go in the evenings. It is a local and tourist favorite.

The pizza here is absolutely outstanding; as are their other offerings. The pies are personal sized and perfectly portioned. Unfortunately, I deducted two stars because wheelchair access is non-existent. I am a wheelchair user and the only time I ate there, I had to sit in a narrow hallway near the back door, where it was cold and windy every time the door opened. If my review were about the food and other normal considerations, it would easily get an enthusiastic five stars The prices are slightly higher than the average pizza joint. This not an average pizza.

Ever watch the T.V. Show Bar Rescue? They need them real bad. The thing they have going for them is the food. Very good selection and delicious. Small facility. Loud like a bar would be. Hot spot for locals. I saw a lot of to go orders. I had to squeeze between a guy sitting at a table and the kitchen window to get to the restroom. They dont take credit cards but have an ATM. The worst thing was that one of the staff was drinking on the job.

Piacis was the first place we ate at when we arrived in town. We rolled in late with our three young granddaughters and they were more than accommodating. Their pizza was fresh and honestly the best I have ever had. I would recommend their stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer...melt in your mouth. Our waitress was just as energetic as our girls and our drinks were always full!! Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience! We cant wait to return!!

Really wanted to try this place because the pizzas sound so good on the menu. Ive called for takeout two nights in a row (over an hour before they close) and they dont want my business! The first night the kitchen had already closed. Today at 8:20 "theyre out of pizza dough" .. Sounds to me like employees taking advantage of the owner so they can leave early. What kind of pizza place runs out of pizza dough? A mismanaged one

Could the owner possibly be more uninviting or rude?? Hed be pretty hard pressed to do that! I will never go back. I felt like I was bothering him I even being present in his restaurant. Just wanted to finish lunch with friends and get out of there. Tells me about special menu items AFTER I placed my order. I had kept asking about choices and finally gave up and got a salad. Wont ever go back or recommend to others.

I was very excited to try this place but was very disappointed by the service! Im currently in a wheelchair. We get to the front door n they have steps so I couldnt go that way tried to get in thru the back door n it was blocked by two bikes hold together by a back pack! The bartender looked my way n looked away!!! Nobody tried to help or at least clear the door so I could get it!! Never coming so disappointed!

Very busy place when we stopped in for lunch on our way home from Mackerricher. Really small and no seats available for our party of 5. We decided to take two pizzas to go and enjoy the view one last time. The aroma of the place was phenomenal so we decided to wait the 30+ minutes to see if the pizzas tastes as good as they smelled. We werent disappointed! Great selection of beer, too.
