Do you want to try a new place, but don’t know where to go? Let us introduce a very good restaurant to you, Garden Café. The Garden Café is located in Arcadia, and it is very popular in that area. Moreover, the prices are inexpensive, and even students can afford it. The Garden Café is a good restaurant for the good food, patient service, and nice interior. The Garden Café provides many kinds of tasty food for their customers. When we opened the menu, there were many categories of food, such as curries, seafood, steak and pasta. We ordered seafood curry; beef Undo with black pepper sauce, grilled New York steak and shrimp with black pepper sauce, and three cups of lemon iced tea. After five minutes, the lemon iced teas came. They tasted sweet and a little bit sour, and we liked it very much. Then the seafood curry was come, and it included four kinds of seafood, shrimp, scallop, green mussels, and cuttlefish. The curry was very well, and the seafood was very fresh. It came with rice, so we ate the rice with the curry sauce, and it was so good. The curry was a little bit spicy, but it matched with the seafood tasted very well. We much liked this seafood curry. Then the New York steak with shrimp came, and the black pepper sauce was good too. This order also included many things: a New York steak, mashed potatoes, shrimps, cucumber and carrot. The mashed potatoes with special sauces tasted were very good, and I thought the sauce was made from the shrimps. The steak was not very good because it tasted a little bit weird. Maybe it was grill too long, but we did not like the steak very much. The last order came is the beef Udon. It was a big surprised for us because the bowl was made from stone. When the waiter put down the Udon, he used the spoon to fry the Udon. It made the Udon very hot and looked so delicious. It was really tasty. We loved all the food that we ordered expept for the steak.. Garden Café has several good waiters and waitresses to service their customers. First of all, we had waiters around us all the time to take our order right after we seat down. The waiters were very patient and polite when they took our order one by one. After that, he recalled all the orders in detail to confirm everything was correct. Then he rushed into the kitchen and came back quickly with our drinks. After a few minutes, he carried the three plates walking to our table and put them down quietly. The amazing part was he could remember every single order belonged to which one of us. Before leaving, we called the waiter for the check, and he came with the warm smile on his face all the time. We told him we needed to split the bill and go Dutch if it was not a problem. He told us “No problem at all” and went back to the cashier. We really appreciated the services here, and we felt so comfortable. Sometimes, a little patience and caring will make a big difference in your restaurant experience. Finally, Garden Café has a nice interior. There were five tables nearby widows on the left side. The people who sit those tables can have a good view of plants. It’s nice to see some greenery at the table while you eat. Also, the main color of interior is brown, and most of furnishings were made of wood. It makes you feel like you are in a forest, and you can forget your annoyance during your meal. Moreover, there have four big TVs on the right side. The TVs offer to customers to watch during their meals or when they are waiting for their families and friends. In addition, its interior is clean and do not have trash on the ground. If there had some water on the ground, a waiter cleaned it immediately. The interior in Garden Café was beautiful and cozy. To sum up, the Garden Café is a great restaurant to have meals with your family and friends. You can enjoy their delicious food, friendly service and comfortable interior. I wouldve given it a 4 because the drinks can be refilled and there are free soup before the meal, and also, their Spaghetti and Garlic Bread is AWESOME. But I gave them a 3* because though the food is great, the service SUCKS. I, a 16 years old, went there alone yesterday. Though they seated me rather quickly, I had to wait for at least 10 minute for someone to take my order. When I asked the first guy, he told me he will come back for me after he put the tray away, but he never came back. Then I asked another lady, and she started talking in Hongkongnese(?) to lady2, probably telling her to get my order. Then after lady2 got done with her stuff, she came and went to the table BESIDES me and took their order, AND THEY ARRIVED WAY EARLIER THAN I DID! Finally, they took my order. Thankfully, the food came very quickly. However, the way they set my food was extremely rude. They just walked past me, setting my food on the table, while neither sparing me a glance nor stopping in their track. They did it as if they were throwing away a trash, walking right past the trashcan, just throwing their trash inside and not sparing it a glance!! They shouldve stopped, gave me my food and say something like "and thats the last of your order, enjoy!" It was lunch time so there werent many people in the restaurant, meaning they werent busy AT ALL! If they were busy, I probably wouldve forgiven them, but they were not busy! They could have at least taken ONE SECOND and say "enjoy"!!!! Also, the bobas in Boba Milk Tea seemed to decrease in quality since the last time I went there with my family. The bobas were not chewy and while chewing them, I felt as if theres something hard in the middle of the boba. I highly doubt that their bobas are, as said in some newspaper, made of plastic. I suggest everyone to stop buying their bobas.

I really want to like this place. I try, I really do but the food is just mediocre at best. What they do have are options that are seemingly neverending. In the mood for Asian? Bam, 500 different things. Italian? Yeah, theyve got pasta. Filet Mignon you say? Done. Sandwiches? Mmhmm. Seriously. They have almost everything except for maybe hummus. However theyve got the jack of all trades, master of none syndrome going on here. Nothing is all that good. I keep coming back to try different things in the hopes that theyll have that one stellar dish thatll knock my socks off but sadly, that has yet to happen. Strangely the best thing Ive eaten there and that I still love is their complimentary vegetable soup. That is awesome. Service is cold but quick and prices are a little steep for bland food but if youre looking for variety, this is your place.

One of my favourite places here in Arcadia Ca. is Garden Cafe, the menu is endless, portions are family size, and definitely Westerner friendly, and for this Westener its the Combination fried rice for me, sometimes i need too add chili to the dish, but no need here that forsure its tasty, and I plan to finish the entire plate. The patrons and staff are warm and friendly, for me " To their continued success, " Ill Be Back!!!
