Went there after church on Sunday. My wife ordered a cheese burger and I ordered the flaky cod fish & chips, which turned out not flaky and (based on my 25 years in food service likely not cod, but rather halibut or haddock) the fries and toast were limp the salad was dressing on lettuce only (and that was mostly the white core), the tarter sauce was, for some reason sweet, like sweet relish with mayo, which I didnt care for. I ordered a cherry coke, light ice, which DID have a maraschino cherry in it, but I couldnt taste the cherry syrup due to all the ice. Ok, I finished my drink, one of the 3 pieces of fish and 1/4 of the fries and left the rest. My wife must have felt sorry for me and gave me a piece of her burger meat, which, wouldnt you know, had a chunk of gristle in it. That combined with holes in the leather booth seats and dirty restrooms, finished me off. This used to be a great place. Sadly, we will likely not be back.

Ive been here before for the breakfast and it was decent. I ended up going back with my girlfreind thinking the food would at least be decent again. I ordered a patty melt with a side of clam chowder and my girlfreind ordered a chilie burger. The server was well manered and helped us but the food was horrible. My gf noticed that the meat patty tasted very old. So I tasted it and she was rite. It tasted like old rubber. Blah! And my patty melt was overpriced and the plain. The meat tasted old as well and my clam chowder tasted from a can. I was really disapointed with the food quality. If you dont believe me go try it yourself. :/ blah

Friday I called in to order for pick up. I was left on hold. I then decided to just try to walk down and eat there. They were very busy and understaffed. I was seated and told the waitress I already knew what I wanted to order. She told me I had to wait as other people were in before me. I waited, then left as I already wasted lunch time. I attempted to go back today. I ordered a salad for pick up. Upon return to the office I noticed there was no salad dressing. So I had to walk back to get some. Upon return I discoverd that it was missing toppings. There will be no strike three opportunity.

I have never had a good meal here. Ive lived in Whittier my whole life and always try to avoid Rocky Cola, but reluctantly order something new when company Im with decides to go here. Everything from appetizers to entrees are terribly bland and poorly cooked and take FOREVER to make despite simple orders and an empty restaurant. Soups bland, sauces are anything but tasty, bread is awful, and overall everthing tastes frozen and old. Despite the overpriced, unappetizing food, service is decent. This place really needs an overhauling

So many problems! Food not particularly good, menu item "Fish and Chips" clearly states Icelandic cod, it was Tilapia, certainly not flaky. Iced tea was very weak. Specials were posted on board outside but no hint of them inside or mentioned by the waiter. Menu is too long, too many items for an under performing restaurant, plus hard to read. This place is in decline, needs to have a full makeover.

The service was very good. The quality of our food seemed pretty good too in both freshness & flavor. This could be a 5 if they cleaned the place. Just because its a 50s theemed place doesnt mean it should like like that was the last time it was cleaned. The floors, under tables as well as high chairs had gunk all over them. A total turn off. This place needs a DEEEP, aggressive cleaning.

Fun atmosphere, but terrible service. We were sat at a dirty table, with a half filled soda glass. The silverware brought to us had dried food still on them. We received the wrong drinks, then had to wait another 5 minutes for the waitress to come back so we could tell her. The food was nothing special. Very basic. Definitely wont be visiting a 2nd time.

We ate at Rocky Cola last night, and it is a nice place for the decor of a retro 50s type diner. But the food was mediocre at best. Rather on the bland side with sauces and flavors. The prices are decent, but we probably would not go back again because there is better food elsewhere, unless a group of friends had to go there or something like that.

The food is Always!! delicious they have a very good variety they serve all the diner classics they also have vegetarian options, The service is always top notch. The Rocky Cola Cafe is peraonaly my favorite diner notging beats eating at The Rocky Cola and then going to catch a $5 movie at The Whittier Village Cinemas on Tuesday and Thursdays.

I went with my husband thinking it was going to be an old school diner and that the food was going to be amazing. I ordered a cheese burger with chili cheese fries, the food was ok not bad but not amazing. Its expensive for what u get. The service was not good they didnt bother to ask if we needed anything . I wouldnt go back.

Love it! So many great options and the staff was so attentive and caring! The old 50s Diner Style was amazing and they nailed it down to the jukeboxes on each table! Went with two others and we all loved our meals. They serve breakfast all day! One of the things I got was the banana pancakes and it was heaven in my mouth!

The atmosphere is very cool with the 50s theme, The sweet potato fries are my favorite as well as milk shakes. As far as food there will be many different opinions but regardless, I feel that the food is good and decent. Service can be a little slow at times but never rude or low quality.

Gotta go with 5 stars just because of the people there. Good staff, good people eating good food. 60 diner looks, 80s and 90s music on the jukebox. Greasey diner fast meals. Reasonable prices. Grab a bite, play some lotto or keno, and just relax. Try the shakes!

Service was good. Place was fine. The carne asada nachos were horrible. Instead of carne asada, they served pieces of meat that had nothing but nerves. Had to spit out the meat on my napkin. Definitely wont order it again.

Loved this place when I was a kid. Not anymore. Food was awful. Had no taste. The guy who came to ask our drinks didnt know English. Our server was nice. This place has no a/c so very hot. Sorry guys but I aint going back

apps come with dinner, not before. Fries soggy. Bread burnt. Veggies over cooked. Simple order took more than 45 minutes. Priced too high for the crap they served. It used to be the spot. Never again.

Overpriced, horrible food. Had a turkey sandwich and the meat was so wet it soaked my bread. Couldnt finish my meal. Their special drinks are weak and not worth the price tag. Wont be returning.
