I come from an European country where we eat crepes for breakfast, lunch, and supper. There’s almost no woman that is unable to make crepes there in my country. It is as easy as making pancakes. I was doing some business in Whittier and brought a friend from my country with me. We were walking downtown looking for a place to have brunch when we saw Crepes and Grapes and got really excited. What a BIG disappointment though…!!! The crepes were made sometime in the past and refrigerated. The “chef“ did not even bother to throw them in the microwave and fool us that they were just made. When we returned them and wanted fresh and warm crepes the waitress showed very nasty attitude and brought again refrigerated cold crepes probably with a spit in it. We wanted to return those too and leave without paying as we did not get what we wanted and did not eat anything. The waitress said that she can take only 20% of the whole order, the first and the second, which was $27 each and that’s it. I wanted to talk to the owner and she denied to call him (the manager conveniently was not there and she was the manager for the time). She denied giving us her name but I heard her speaking in Spanish with somebody in the kitchen. So, the French Café is as French as I am the Queen of England. I called the police and asked them to come and help us resolve the problem. The police denied to come and said that we should pay and then sue the cafe in a small claim court for $52. We paid and left hungry, humiliated, and angry. I still keep the receipt for $52 for a meal that I didn’t eat. I have never had worse experience with a restaurant in my life. I have worked and lived in 4 different countries and haven’t seen worse service. DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$ FOR THESE CREPES. Just know that once you have the crepes mix ready, you make a crepe for seconds. You can refrigerate the mix but not the crepe ones it is ready if you want to run a respected restaurant. And, please train your stuff to be nice and polite. A respected restaurant would never let a client to pay for obviously bad food. What is 4 crappy crepes comparing to a good name!!!!????

AWFUL and deceitful. Food was decent. Nothing special, but not bad. Just right for a mid-day lunch. Large OJ was actually large, so that was a delight. Service was awful though. Our server Justin was just slow and neglectful throughout the entire dining experience. And he wasnt busy because the rest of the restaurant wasnt either. So that isnt a valid excuse. It took forever after dining to wait for the bill. We had to call them with our phones for them to send someone out, because no one checked on us for over 25 minutes. I was in such a hurry, I just asked to the bill, and gave them my credit card from the table and said "here, take it" essentially. He came back with it, I signed it, we left in a hurry. But when I saw my statement, I wondered why a brunch for 2 was more than $50! They over charged my bill. They tacked on a 3rd entree for a party of two. When I emailed them, they (persons name who responded was Chele) acknowledged that they added a 3rd entree, but that they refused to adjust the balance and credit me for the wrong entree. So they are basically thieves because they snuck that charge on to me. They probably stuck it on the other table where it belonged to. Or who knows, they may do this to many people! It was their mistake, and I have to pay an extra $15 for their NEGLIGENCE. That is AWFUL service. Shame on Crepes & Grapes. Youve lost a potentially regular patron and gained a vocal opponent on social media. So if you go, EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK. And I am now paranoid, because its ridiculous that in order to ensure I am charged for what I ordered, I actually have to verify that the employees of the restaurant actually did their job? WTF is that? I wish I was a mystery shopper that time. Shame on Justin. Shame on Chele. Shame on management of Crepes & Grapes. Your deceitful restaurant doesnt deserve to stay in business.

I did not like anything about this place . First of all prices are very high comparing to other and better places like TASTE in North Hollywood , my husband and I always go out for breakfast on Sunday and we decided to give this place a try , the waitress was not friendly nor attentive I ordered a side fruit "bowl" and I asked her could I have my fruit already she told wait they are barely working on that . When I received my fruit I got even more disappointed the "bowl" was not even 6 inches the price was high and they only served 2 slices of an old apple y 4 old grapes by this time I set my omelet on the side , the dish was wet and stinky the hashbrown was cold and the omelet taste was horrible , I even had to remind the waitress for my set of utensils . My husband ate all his food bc of course we were going to pay but he said we were not going back to this place . The check was of $67 late on we visited Olive Garden not my favorite place but food a little better. We asked for 2 dinners and some wine (desert included ) and our check was of $60 . You guys need to work on food quality and staff friendliness.

Looking for casual fare and simple desserts in Whittier? Without the lines? Come here and you will think of "oh how cute this place is?" "is the decor old or are they trying to be like in Paris?" "is the wait for the food long or are they trying to replicate Frances snottiness?" Well, besides all of that, the crepes are pretty decent but a tad thicker than what Im used to when I used to eat it in SF. I know, you might think SF doesnt have the greatest crepes but when its made from Gay French people in the Castro district, they actually made the best Ive ever had. So using them as a benchmark, this place is pretty decent. What I didnt like is that the ice cream had already melted when it got to my table with my Apple A La Mode Crepe. I believe this was the cheapest crepe on the menu. You can taste a little bit of the alcohol in a couple of bites so you know they do add that in there but the taste doesnt burn off so it was a bit bitter. We also had the banana foster and it was a bit too sweet for me so I much prefer the apple. So come and get your dessert on after strolling in Uptown Whittier.

The food her is ok, but definitely very over priced. The strawberries in the crepe i ordered were frozen but my nephews side of fruit came with fresh strawberries, it would have been nice to have fresh strawberries for the price. The service was pretty terrible, when we arrived the place wasnt too busy and when we were seated it took quite a while for anyone to take our drink order. I dont like when servers come around too often after they have brought our meal and we are eating but it seemed that they completely forgot about us, we tried to get their attention for a while for things such as ketchup, napkins and sugar but decided to finish our meal without it after not being able to get their attention. Again the food here was ok but the service anywhere is also important and combined with the service and price, I wouldnt go back here or recommend it to anyone.
