Went during prime lunch hour, so obviously no tables were available (no problem). My grandmother asked Girl 1 behind the counter what she should do, Girl 1 said "I dont know." Umm okay. My grandmother asked where she should stand off to the side to wait, Girl 1 replied "I have no idea." Umm, what? Do you not work here? A table finally opened up. Girl 1 cleared half the table and then never came back for the rest. Had to ask Girl 2 to finish the job. Was never given silverware. Okay, whatever. Girl 2 was professional and sweet as could be. My salad came with avocado, I thought it would come with avocado, what came was a scoop of slimy, overly salted avocado purée. Yikes. Didnt want to mention that my salad didnt come dressed, but thats just me so whatever. The French onion soup was so salty, the cheese was rubbery, it was cold. Consensus of food: terrible. The only good thing about the food was my salad dressing. And, all the pastries looked delicious. When leaving, Girl 1, who was standing right at the counter, didnt say a word. No "have a good day" or "thanks for coming in." Rude. Girl 1 made a 3 star review turn into a 1. I wanted to like this place, Im a huge supporter of local businesses and restaurants, but I probably (definitely) wont be back.

Dog friendly cafe with fabulous food! Service is kind & quick and I think its the owner who personally prepares your food. I love it and highly recommend! Had to remove 1 star due to service. Went there last weekend with a friend that I had raved to about this cafe. They "lost" our order...after waiting for at least 30 mins (without a refill on coffee) we had to ask what was going on with our food. THAT was the point when they started making it, and we finally got our coffees refilled (and removed from the bill). I have worked in food service, and I know things happen, but it should not take the customers flagging down wait staff in such a small place to remind them that you are still sitting there!

I really didnt want to leave this review but after too many bad experiences I feel obligated to. My husband and I love to ride our bikes to breakfast and Merci is very convenient. Unfortunately no matter how many chances we give them they always disappoint. The girls who work there are rarely friendly or welcoming. I work in retail and I would never act the way they do. They always mess up our order and when you let them know they act like its an inconvenience. We just want what we payed for. Unfortunately I cant recommend this place to anyone anymore. You need staff who care about the customers and you need to get the order accurate.

Being I am, well I guess, the sous chef, it is hard for me to be totally objective. However, after being with Chef Duc Laio I have had a once in a lifetime experience. With 20+ years of experience, a culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu and a B.A. in mgmt. I never could have prepared myself for the lessons Ive learned and continue to learn. Working for and with an actual French Chef has given me a deeper understanding and respect for my craft. For that reason and the fact that we put out some amazing food I give Merci an A+

A very pleasant atmosphere. The food served looked and tasted delicious, with few exception. On the Eggs Benedict the Hollandaise sauce is served at room temperature, my preference would be to have it warmed. The ham on the Benedict was tough. The hash browns on my order as well as on the breakfast sandwichs were lukewarm. Coffee was serve in a large mug hot and delicious. The side salads served with each order were freah, crisp with a hint of a delicious home made dressing. Service excellent and quick.

I love this place! Wonderful location, great food, food is gourmet and affordable, great staff and gorgeous inside! You feel like your on vacation in this hot spot! Everything is homemade and fresh! For 10 dollars you can get a nice size sandwich, delicious fries and a salad! There is a nice size menu with tons of unique foods to choose from. Tasty and fun deserts! My mom and sisters introduced me to this great restaurant! They are regulars! Now I see why!

I love this place! Particularly fond of the eggs benedict. All of the food is prepared with professionalism and looks and tastes like it came out of Le Cordon Bleu. If you come in the morning, you might catch a batch of croissants fresh out of the oven. They have butter, almond, and chocolate. Also, the tea and coffee is imported from France so they are both incredible. Try it out for yourself!

Easily one of the best hidden gems in all of the Valley. The food is amazing, everything crafted by hand. The service is fantastic, and the pricing is a steal. They have somewhat fickle hours for dinner but their dinner is an even greater treat. Give this place a try and youll quickly be upset at what youve been missing all this time.

I visit my family in Scottsdale and always come here. Coffee is great. Breakfasts are fantastic and HUGE. Lunches classy and also good sized. I see every type of person here, not just retired little old ladies like me. The people working here are cheerful, happy and know their stuff. I cannot say enough good about this place.

Have loved this place for many years. Food is delicious, service is wonderful. Great place to take clients, friends, or family for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Each visit, the owner comes to greet us. This is a perfect example of a hard working local business owner that deserves recognition for doing things so well.

Inexperienced servers, my soup showed up long after my entre, I had to cancel it and expected they would remember to refund me but I had to ask, would be nice if they played French music and add more plants to create a more European atmosphere, very basic dining room....

This place had the friendliest service. While visiting the area, we found the public bathroom locked! We stopped in this restaurant and a couple of us ordered beers and we were able to use the restrooms here. The staff was so sweet and friendly and kept checking on us.

Great atmosphere. I wish that everything all the way on the boards was on a menu so I didnt have to keep getting up to see what there was to eat! A BYOB notice outside would be nice too. All in all, amazing food and friendly service. To-die-for desserts as well :)

I went there for lunch with my father in law. The girl baily over changed him and didnt even give him a receipt to show that it was done never refilled his drink . horrible service . all you hear from the back is the crew laughing and giggling. Overpriced food.

Brunch was great! Quiche and French toast were delicious and the service was fast and pleasant. Case delights look fantastic and taste just OK. I wish the menu were larger. Definitely worth a stop as the food is quality and the prices are mainly fair.
