I wish to share an experience that my family had on March 19th . This post is delayed due to medical problems that took precedence over this issue but I did want to address this. In the past my family and I have found the food to be very good. However on this specific occasion I must express my disappointment at how unfriendly and un accommodating the restaurant manager, Dominique Rue was towards family. I have a 5 year old granddaughter, and as many of you probable know 5 year olds are particular. My granddaughter wanted a "happy meal" from a nearby establishment. We had purchased it and wished to have her enjoy her meal as we would enjoy a nice italian meal at Babbo. We were sat down after waiting approx 20 minutes to be seated, it was busy and this was expected. Drinks were served and I had gone up to use the mens room. When I returned, My wife informed me that Ms Rue and told her that they would not serve us with my daughter eating chicken Mcnuggets. I asked to speak to the manager and she refused to come to our table, sending a young waitress over to again dictate her policy instead. Is this a family restaurant, apparently not. We were not even given the option to eat outside on the patio. Although the food is good, it is not worth the rudeness and lack of flexibility by that of management, particularly Dominique Rue. We all left and ate at another quality restaurant, they had no problem with my granddaughter and were happy to take our money. We have done this on numerous occasions, but never had a restaurant refused us service.

This is the second time we have gone here and the Mozza balls were COLD in the center. When they brought them back one was melted, but the other was still cold. The last time we went here the same thing happened and we had to send them back twice, we didnt even bother this time. The service this time was terrible. We were seated at a table that was too small for what we all planned to order, and asked for a booth. There were no booths available at that time, but a few minutes later, two booths were empty, they just needed to be cleaned off. My friend asked if we could now move to a booth, and the waitress was just putting down our drinks, she picked the drinks up, put them on the table next to us and stomped off. She was frosty for the rest of our time there. I will never come back to this location. I didnt leave a good tip, and honestly I feel I should have left her ZERO tip. It wasnt her fault about the food, but she wasnt pleasant at all. We will try one of the other Babbos next time. We used to go to the one in Mesa, and it was always great there. We recently moved out here, so this is the closest one to us, but I will gladly travel if it means we get better service and our food is actually COOKED.

Mesa Location We placed a take out order tonight. We waited the recommended 20 minutes before driving to pick up our food (we live right down the street). When my wife arrived, she was told the order would be ready in about 5-7 minutes. My wife decided to add desserts to our order while she was waiting and was assured this would not affect the order. Staff and hostess were courteous and attentive. The inside of the restaurant looked nice and was well presented. Our food experience... Spaghetti and meatballs - The sauce was under seasoned - lacking pronounced flavor. I wanted to taste the garlic, basil, oregano. Meatballs were unremarkable, dense and without great flavor. Calzone - My wifes Calzone was burned on the top. Inside was a glob of cheese with ingredients that were not distributed properly inside the Calzone. Quoting my wife - "I had to dig to find the pepperoni and sausage. The crust of the Calzone had a "doughy" texture. Fettuccine Alfredo - My son got the Alfredo with Chicken added. He said it was okay. Given our first experience, we are inclined not to order online or frequent this establishment.

This always used to be a neighborhood favorite for my family. I have always loved coming here for the delicious pastas, pizzas and the most delicious bread and olive oil/balsamic. My favorite is the Chicken Chipotle Pasta. I always come in with the mindset that I am going to try something new, but I always fall to my favorite. In recent visits however, while the food is still quite good, the service seems to be lacking. The last time we visited, we asked twice for plates and silverware, and ended up having to get it ourselves. Our food was taking unusually long as well and eventually the manager came up nonchalantly saying one of our plates was accidentally dropped, that they were remaking the dish and it would be removed from our bill. Once our food arrived, the supposed "remade" dish was cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. I will likely return as I do enjoy the food and atmosphere, but hope they get their act together when it comes to the service.

We usually always love our experience at Babbo but tonight was not the case. We arrived at 5:50 pm, ordered drinks and our food soon after being seated as we always get the same thing, creamy garlic chicken pasta with no sun dried tomatoes. Our food came out with the sun dried tomatoes and be server ran up shortly after apologizing and saying he would get it reordered quick. By the time our food finally arrived it was 6:50 pm. The manager never came over to apologize or even offer to comp something off of our meal. I have worked in restaurants for many years and extremely disappointed in the lack of management and customer service. Will think twice before coming back to this location.

Ordered take out for our daughter that just drove in from NAU...shes not crazy about Babbos menu but loves the bread ( who doesnt) so she specifically asked the girl taking the order if bread came with our take out order ( which was over $30 worth of food) and was told absolutely! Low and behold, brought the order home...no bread in the bag! Maybe its just me...but since take out orders cant be adjusted once youve left the establishment ( unlike dining in where you can always ask your waiter/waitress to request a forgotten item) I feel like the bags should be double checked before handing them off to make sure everything is in the bag. Poor service!

I just came from this place 2/2/17 4:32 pm ordered 2 kids meals and this is my first time by the way. I got there and the lady with glasses by the bar did not once look at me, told me how much it was gave her my card she game me the receipt to sign and tossed the pen on the counter, I thought that was very rude and again did not even make eye contact, the waitress gave me the food, got home and realized I was billed for a full kiss meal but did not give me the drinks,no forks or napkins honestly the food is good but that ladies behavior to me is the reason why i wont comeback, one customer may not impact u much but that lady needs a talk.
