I dont normally do reviews for food places unless I had a good food/service but when I recently ate lunch at this place I had a horrible experience. I went there with my family thinking I would try this place because of all the good ratings but this place is far from 4 stars. The waitress was nice at the beginning asking what we wanted to eat and even suggesting a few menu items. Well, we placed our orders and the waitress soon brought out the fried rice which my family thought was bland, but I didnt mind it, then came our orders of sweet and sour chicken, kung pao chicken, and sesame chicken. My girlfriend got the kung pao chicken it was non-edible it had a terrible taste and wasnt even close to tasting like kung pao chicken period so we had to send it back along with my sisters sweet and sour chicken because she was dissatisfied with it as well. Everything seemed fine until the waitress came back after arguing with someone in the back and said we had to pay and extra $2 dollars because my sister and girlfriend didnt order anything else, honestly because they lost their appetite, so they assumed they were eating some of our meals they had to charge us and they had the nerve to imply that most restaurants apply this charge also. To sum things up I will not be eating at this establishment any more and wanted others to use caution as well since this rating is not at all accurate I would give it a 2 - 2 1/2 stars at most.

THE REVIEW I enjoy this venue. Desert Jade provides a decent meal at a decent price, served by friendly staff who deliver what you want without harassing you to buy deserts, extra drinks, etc. They will ask one time. If you want, theyll smile and deliver; if you say no, they smile and let you know they are available if you change your mind. Then they continue to provide you quality service. Its a no pressure situation to dine here. A relaxed atmosphere, so you dont feel like you are being watched for which hand you use to hold your fork. This venue gets repeat patronage by me, so may be one day we will see each other there.

Went for lunch today and had the kung pao beef extra spicy. My meal was 7 bucks and came with a side of fried rice, hot tea, and an egg roll. The good was the service and quickness of the place. Id give it a 5 on those two things. The portion was good as well. Huge amounts of beef and rice. The bad was the food. The sauce was well overcooked as was the beef. The fried rice was terrible. Almost nothing but rice. When I eat fried rice I expect there to be onions, eggs, etc in it. It was lacking big time. The egg roll was pretty tasteless as well. Other plates looked good when they walked by. Maybe I just ordered a bad meal...maybe not. Not that I am a big Pei Wei fan but that place is an easy 3-5 times better than what I ate.

After many years this is my last visit to desert jade . 1.They just cant get an order right. Every time I take out they forget an item or get it wrong 2. The food is very mediocre . It used to be fresh veggies & meats. Now everything tastes bland and the chicken is some rubbery substitute for real chicken. Inedible. 3. Their ownership has changed. They have an attitude and just dont seem to care about service with a smile. All in all lousy Chinese food with a really poor attitude. Perhaps its time to retire.... you obviously dont want to be there anymore!

I was there yesterday was in the mood for Chinese food I order chicken fried rice and let me tell how poor this place is it took them 20 mints to get my food not only that poor but also the food the rice test like old rice and few pieces of chicken come on people why would you support this place when they dont even have good food and the service very poor I would close the place my self if I was the health department.

Well desert Jade congrats on my first Google review ever. This place has to be one of the worst Chinese restaurants Ive ever been to. The food was stale tasting and burnt. Everything from the tea at the start to even the cookie at the end was gross. If it wasnt for the decent service and if it was an option I would leave this place a 0. Someone call chef Ramsey cause their food needs saving .

The value was pretty good as was the food. I had the Sweet and Sour chicken lunch special. The amount of chicken was enormous! The egg roll was also quite good, wish I would have got a few more. The only complaint would be the fried rice, it was pretty bland and tasteless. I would absolutely go again, but probably would try and substitute more egg rolls instead of the rice if possible. :)

Food quality has gone down musty garlic snowpeas had the strings on so we choked on them flavorless brown sauce fried rice is a joke and way over priced i have been here several times its never been this bad but its the last time a Chinese restaurant with all mexican staff unwilling to fix anything dont waste ur money here go to panda express

My family and I love this place and have been going there for years. The service is quick, the staff is nice, and food is GREAT! I would recommend the Chicken Lettuce, any of the sweet and sour dishes, wor wonton soup, desert jade fried rice and their desert jade chow mein. If you choose any of these you will not be disappointed.

Rude wait staff, slower than slow service. 20 minutes for the guy to come over and rudely take our drink order alone. Another 15 before we saw a glass of wate. When we saw a cockroach meander its way sluggishly and without fear across our table, we immediately left. I would never return nor recommend this hovel to my worst enemy.

Had a terrible experience. First we waited for an hour before we got any food. They messed up on our order and we never got our pot stickers. Lastly one of our party members is very allergic to egg and they told us his dish had no egg. Well it had egg and in it and he got really sick... Overall a joke of a restaurant.

I found this place on Yelp. Ordered pickup of here and it was pretty good. The food was decent but lacked a little flavor. I ordered the chop suey which I havent had in a long time. It seems very promising and will most likely get food there again. The ambiance seems nice so maybe next time it will be a sit down.
