Im a guy. I like watching planes. I like watching old WWI style biplanes. I like watching attractive women get in and out of old WWI style biplanes. And I like doing all of the above while having breakfast. Sometimes, while sitting outside, you get to overhear compelling conversations. "You know its hard buying underwear for you. You have your fathers irregular crotch." My previous supervisor took me here one day for breakfast. After a quick glance at the menu, I ordered an egg breakfast for under $4. What a deal! Turns out, it was basically an egg mcmuffin. So much for the deal, but you cant beat the ambiance. I took my wife here a few weeks ago, and she loved it. One of my favorite places for breakfast.

I give the Hanger Cafe 5 stars for 2 main reasons. Every time I have gone there the staff have all been welcoming and friendly. The other reason is that they are just about perfect at being what they say they are, a cafe on an airport. If you want fine dining you go to a fine dining restaurant and you hope they are as good as a fine dining restaurant should be. If you want to have some simple cafe dining you go to a cafe and you hope they do a good job being a cafe. These guys do a good job! Also, I like having to walk across the ramp where aircraft are tied down ready to be untied an flown around. Right by an aviation hanger, too.

I have been going to the Hanger cafe for a very long time, since before they expanded. It used to be a little hole in the wall that mostly private pilots went to and has become a local favorite for many. I would not go here expecting it to be the IHOP, its unique atmosphere and location are why I go here plus great people and food. I highly recommend the hanger cafe especially for kids because where else can you get breakfast and watch aircraft take off and taxi only yards from the restaurant. Just keep your party small the biggest tables barely seat 5.

I went there with my father and my four nephews and niece so a total of 6 in the party. We waited outside for 35 minutes to hear a party of 8 who signed in 2 spot later het called before us. Then when we brought it to their attention they wanted to seat us outside in the az temp with 4 kids. Then the manager got hostile with us saying it just happens sometimes and we could leave is we wanted. Its sad to see racism out like this nowadays because we Hispanic and the 8 people sat were all white. Do not support this place!

The food was good waitresses are very friendly But the owner shes the mean looking lady with the glasses who stands at the end of the counter and stares at everybody with hate in her eyes. I paid with my Visa debit card and she gave me a hard time ask me if it was a gift card I told her it was a visa she then kept just staring and giving me dirty looks. Its just too bad everybody else there is nice she needs to remove herself from her establishment to keep the place in business.

If youre looking for a "nice restaurant", do not go here. If youre looking for a greasy spoon dive with excellent food and nice waitresses, you will love this place. I had the Mexican Omelet and it was outstanding. I added sausage to it, along with the green chili, onion bell pepper and cheese, topped with salsa. The hashbrowns had bacon and cheese in them, and it was all served tortillas. Coffee was good to boot. I cant wait to go back!

The Hanger is a local jem in south Chandler... Amazing hole int the wall joint located at the Chandler airport... They are only open for breakfast and lunch and the wait on the weekends are usually 30-45 minutes. But its worth every waiting minute!! The staff is amazing and always on point!! The food is your typical cafe fair but with the old school feel. The blood mary is pretty good too!!

Hangar cafe is awesome! The scenery is great; watching planes come and go enhances breakfast in a way I never knew they could! The airport burrito is a must try, according to my fiancee, its 1 part weird 12 parts wonderful... also, its big enough to land a plane on! All in all, its a tasty breakfast spot with great scenery and decent prices. I would recommend it to a friend

My wife and I went there for breakfast, had heard so many good things about this place. The food was wonderful!!!! But the service was horrendous!!!! Older bleach blonde, marilyn monroe looking lady. She was extremely rude and condescending. Will never return, and will tell everyone I know not to go there! Loved the food, but the rude service will keep out of this place!

Terrible service, came here with a party of 6 and waited for nearly 30 minutes before a party of 8 took our place because they were white. When we confronted the manager, the manager showed no remorse for her actions, and didnt give us any compensation for this experience. If you are anything other than white expect to not be taken care of like a customer should.

The Hangar Cafe is a regular breakfast stop for my group of Tucson pilots. The controllers are friendly and there is plenty of transient aiplane parking near the cafe. The main down-side is the restaurant is rather small and it can take a while to sit down if you get there at mid-morning. The food is good and the the workers are friendly.

They would not sit our party of eight together ...the waitress would not put two tables that were right next to each other. At the very least they could of brought out our food together...nope they couldnt do that either. Ours came out at least 10 minutes later. The food just wasnt that good.

I had the airport omelette. Very good. How can you go wrong with country fried steak and hash browns wrapped in an omelette topped with country gravy. The sourdough toast want spectacular, but the Phoenix area in general doesnt have great bread. Also, its fun to watch the planes.

Food is good, good price, and very family friendly. Kids of all ages will enjoy watching the planes take off. Hard to find, definitely call them and ask when you get there the first time. Youll have to park and walk and its not visible from the road.

This place is awesome! The kids liked to watch small planes buzz around outside. The airport burrito was tasty and very filling. Also they have 3 choices of breakfast potato which is great! I prefer the cubed potatoes. Good times!

What a fresh change of pace for a restaurant and sooooo entertaining for kids. Outside or inside seating, you cant go wrong! But if youre bringing the kids I suggest outside. Its like youre having lunch with the planes!

I love this place. The food is great (especially the chorizo burrito), waitresses are nice and the kids can watch the planes come and go as you eat! The hangar is open as well to get a close-up view of the planes.

Fun location, right by the airfield. Breakfasts are standard fare, but done well. A little hard to find at first. Theres a hangar next to it that you can wander around in, looking at old planes under repair.
