I have given it two attempts 6 months apart and the service and attitude have not changed. You would think after the owners have read the reviews on google and Yelp they would put some systems in place to fix the way they run this place. The female owner is just outright rude. She seats you without saying a word and if you have an issue she tries to shut you down real quick. She really should just stay in the back or just run things from home since her presence is just plain uncomfortable. Just to give you a little taste of what to expect, the first time I went with my family it was for my birthday. They had only opened 1 month prior to this first visit and let me tell you, Ive never experienced anything like this. The owner sat us without one word out of her mouth and just plopped our menus on the table. We ordered appetizers and our meals. They were out of one appetizer so they just decided to double up on the one they had and charged is for both. We sat there drinking our sprites and eating hush puppies for 50 min before I first asked where our food was. The waitress very kindly aplogized for the wait and said they were behind on orders. Another 45 min went by and we started noticing that customers who arrived after us that seemed to know the owner were getting serviced their food right away. At that point I approached the owner to inquire about our food and she said that food comes out in the order they were placed. I told her that I saw at least 2 parties that came in after us get their orders within 30 min of being there and we had been there for nearly 2 hrs. She began to argue with me telling me that there was no way that was happening and said there was nothing she could do. I was there with my two young children who were starving and decided after 2 hours that we would just go home and eat birthday cake for dinner. I informed the owner that we were not going to wait any longer and she handed me a bill for 4 drinks and 2 orders of hush puppies. Unbelievable right? Well, believe it and if you want to experience this 0 star service for yourself, give it a try.

Its not bad, but theres no real draw to come back. The food here is OK, but overall the experience isnt going to have me running back any time soon. FOOD: We had the fried green tomatoes appetizer and while tasty it was inconsistently cooked. Some were nice and crispy, some were a little soft, some were just mushy and wet. Again, they tasted good, but for a $10 appetizer I expected more attention to cooking times. As an entree I had the sausage, chicken, and shrimp etouffee, which was also "ok", but shrimp was almost entirely absent. The shrimp that were there were the ultra tiny kind you find in a side salad. Kind of a bait and switch. The chicken and sausage were both plentiful and tasty though. ATMOSPHERE: This is where things stumble a bit. While dining the owner, and several other employees, were walking around the restaurant aimlessly and sitting watching TV at tables in an empty restaurant. Its a little off putting to be trying to eat and talk while having someone sitting 5 feet away not really doing anything. I get it, its slow, you dont have anything to do, but maybe go hang out in the back? Overall not a bad experience, I just dont see any reason to go back or recommend to friends.

I am Puerto Rican and my wife is Haitian, sharing the same culinary history as the Creole we are kind of connoisseurs of Creole food. We had the andouile sliders for an appetizer. Those were a delicious pairing of sausage fried green tomatoes and veggies. I had the jambalaya and my wife had the ettouffe. Both looked similar but each was uniquely delicious. The bengniets were hot, fluffy, and delicious. The chef was friendly and evidently very talented. I want to make sure this place stays in business so Im telling everybody about it. This is the best creole food I have ever paid for. It tastes home made.

I very rarely give 5 stars. Even to my favorite place. Because I feel people hand out 5 stars way too often. But this place. This place brought tears to my eyes. The food was absolutely perfect and really brought me back to when I was trucking through the southern states on a regular basis. The owner is outstanding and a super cool guy, the decorations inside are wonderful. The menu is the perfect size. Not too big as to leave you hopelessly confused as to what you want and not too small to leave you wishing they had more. The inside is clean! 5/5 all the way.

I am giving this place 3 stars because the food wasnt terrible. There were some items, such as the Cajun chips and fried green tomatoes that were good. However I ordered the sausage poboy and it was really just a hamburger that didnt taste good. I took 2 bites and asked them to take it back. Instead of asking if I wanted anything else she argued with me about how I didnt like it. Needless to say I paid for a hamburger that I didnt eat. I have had better southern food that comes with the southern hospitality that the south is known for. I will not be returning.

My wife and I went in at the suggestion of one of my distributors. Very glad we did. I am a chef whose specialty is southern rustic/ Creole/Cajun food. The jambalaya was very nice. Good undertones, the trinity was there and nice and chunky...not soup. It was stew. My wife had red beans and rice. Nice deep flavor. This will be one of my favorites now. I will gladly bring guests here. Very authentic and refreshing. Set apart from other attempts at capturing the flavor of Louisiana! I highly suggest it!

About four months ago, we paid a visit to this establishment. For the sake of fairness, I must stipulate that I am a native of South LA, and an aficionado of Creole and Cajun cooking. The food was a huge disappointment. Tasteless, unidentifiable, over-fried, greasy, pre-breaded and frozen seafood product. Poor representation of Creole and Cajun cooking. Please do not base your opinions of this marvelous, flavor-rich cuisine by the truly sad imposters served by this establishment.

Ive lived in Louisiana for a long time. The stuff I ate for lunch is Shrimp Etouffe, it did not taste like delicious Etouffe I remember. Too much tomato paste, not salted properly. Shrimps were OK though. And lunch portion for $16 is ridiculous. Never going back. I guess the chef could spend more time perfecting his cooking than replying the reviews. Let his cooking do the talking not his ridiculous replies. I know what cajun/creole coiking taste like.

This Bistro was awesome!! We had touring musicians in town staying with us and I decided to bring them here for dinner. It was a Saturday night and they had live music, an unexpected treat for sure. The food was over the top and we enjoyed the vibe and New Orleans decor and atmosphere. Our guests were very impressed with food and they should know. Defiantly will be coming back soon and make this a regular stop for some good home cooked cajun fixins!!
