The owner Brad and the staff of this location are above and beyond the most amazing individuals!! Tonight after dinning with my children here, I had a not so great issue in the parking lot with my vehicle. A number of the staff here rushed to my aid and offered their help. And not long after, Brad the owner himself assisted me and my stranded children. It would have been almost 2 hrs in the evening heat with my children before AAA could have assisted me. I just wanted to say thank you to the staff and owner for going above and beyond for their customer!! Food was great as I have come to expect from Costa Vida! But most importantly- it is the experience the staff creates at a location that makes all the difference! A+ for Brad and his staff! Thank you!!!

I am giving them 3 stars for the fact that the staff need to open their ears and listen. I love costa vida and if you were to ask my wife she would be surprised to hear me say this. For one I used to hate it.. However, this specific store in the vast chain that is Costa-Vida doesnt seem to listen to their guests well. My order is almost always messed up in some way or another. However, I must say they do correct it if I mention. But in some cases more than the other, I am going through the drive through and get home only to be disappointed. Listen up Costa-Vida train your staff to listen to the customer. They forget the simple things, like providing the drinks to the people in the drive through. I shouldnt have to remind them that I ordered them.

BIG disappointment. We have been anxiously awaiting the opening of this Costa Vida- close to us and one of our favorites. We tried it today, wont go back. Nachos had a faint hint of a sprinkle of cheese, small, skimpy portions, tiny little servings of guacamole, and other sides. We had regular Costa Vida gift cards and they wouldnt accept them - couldnt give us a reason why. Sad to say we will have to continue to go the Val Vista Drive location, where the portions are worth the money and the food is way better. Sorry to say I cant recommend the new one in Gilbert at all. :0(

Very much improved. My Wife and I love Costa Vida but our first experience at this location was far from ideal, the employees were all new and no one knew whos job was whos so our food took easily 3 times as long to get purchased than it should have. However, this last time everything ran Much smoother. The addition of the drive through still causes some slowdowns but the staff is well enough trained now to handle it. Our food was very tasty and meat portions have never been skimped on here. It had a rocky start but I can now recommend people try this location.

The last few times Ive come, the rice and beans were undercooked and the pork just wasnt as good as the Tempe location. Ive never left the Tempe location feeling like my food wasnt tender and hot, not sure about here though. EDIT: the food here also doesnt taste the same throughout; Ill get parts of my burritos where its all rice and beans or all pork and no sauce. Weird. And for some reason, the food is always a little worse when you go through the drive through. Something is always wrong when I get home and open up my order.

Terrible, cheap, and OVERPRICED!!!!! Whatever you order its 99% beans or rice, theres very little to no meat at all. This was so bad I had to leave a review! If youre looking for mexican food anything is more authentic then this chain of fresh authentic mexican food. Its funny because mexican food is the most simplest type of food to make and when you screw up nachos Im sorry but you loose, good day!! Costa Vida mexican food in gilbert az can close the doors because you cant fix stupid!!

The Costa Vida flavors Ive come to expect, just in this new location. Friendly counter staff, and no skimping on ingredients! My wife was let down that there was no Fanta at the soda fountain (or any orange soda at all!) AND the horchata was mostly water. But the food was still good. Hopefully this location can improve their game a little and draw some attention away from the Cafe Rio location just around the corner. Refried beans FTW!

Ordered at drive thru. After paying for my order was told they were out of steak. Chose a different meat but had to ask for the price difference back. When getting home my quesadilla had no sour cream, no guacamole, and no pico de gallo on the side. Same price as Cafe Rio but no sides included. This is my first and last time to any costa vida.

Ordered online and when I went in after the time it was supposed to be ready. I needed to add one more thing and it was made and ready 10 minutes before the online order. The food is not good. The chips are stale, a steak quesadilla had no visible cheese on it, the meats are all sweet, whats up with that? First and last time Ill go there.

Food tastes great. One of my favorite fast casual restaurants. The drive through is a great addition. My biggest complaint is they have messed up our order a few times. They added the wrong meat once and omitted toppings. Hopefully this improves as they get further established. Lastly, I wish they would open on Sundays.

I am so frustrated with this place. Every time I use the drive thru they get my order wrong. Every time!!! I cant even comment on the food because Im so mad. I order pork and they give me chicken. I order tacos and they forget the rice and beans. That is 1/2 the meal!! I wont ever go back.

Seems like the typical "quick Mexican" food restaurant. Pick if you want tacos, burrito, etc.. All of their ingredients look and taste very fresh, but so does Chipotle and Qdoba. The big plus though, is they have a drive through... which seems to take longer than going inside most times.

Ill change my stars when things improve. First time was great. Second through to fourth time ... Wrong orders, missing food, entrees, sides, wrong drink, no fixings (sour cream/salsa). Again, if things improve, Ill give extra stars. Upgraded to 4 stars, things improved

First time visited Costa vida today for dinner and the food was really good especially the cheese quesedilla. The staff was very friendly and great service. The ambience of the restaurant was good. Just one thing wish the rice was cooked well, it was not cooked thoroughly.

Food was decent but pricing is questionable. I have ordered the exact items ( no meal combinations) on three separate visits and have been charged a different price each visit. Difference in total pricing was about $6 from the lowest to the highest price.

Today I went to Costa Vida for the first time in a long time, and I was reminded why I used to come here all the time. The food is delicious and affordable, the staff are very friendly and provide great service, and the environment is appealing.

Lengthy wait time at the drive-thru! I chose to use the drive-thru on this visit because my 3 month old daughter was asleep in hey carseat. The employee working was polite but made no mention of the extra wait time.
