BAD BUSINESS.....Yes 1 star. Very inconsistent with hours and food. Food can be good one night and flavorless another. However, this is only if you can get them on the phone to place an order. I called to place an order and the line was busy, so I keep trying. Since the restaurant is not that far from my house I decided to go there and place an order. I let the man know behind the counter that I was not able to get through to them on the phone and he told me that they took the phone off of the hook because it got to busy. I have tried them several times since then to see if it was just a one time deal, but its not. I called recently and wanted to place an order and it was within there hours of operation and they said that they are closing early...... My husband was right we should have stopped ordering from there sometime ago. Well that was the last time go to Plaza Bonita if you want good Mexican food and they will be open when you call during their hours of operation.

My wife and I travel regularly between Flagstaff and Tucson, her home town we know the best places to get Mexican in Tucson, but often we leave early, before were ready to eat. Weve looked for a good place to eat in the Phoenix area, but have struck out too many times and not interested in the chains. But weve found a good one here. The wife had a shredded beef burrito and I had a beef chimi with red sauce, rice and beans. Mine came with healthy portions of sour cream and guac (which was unexpected, but which I dont eat--they took the plate back and re-did it even though I made the mistake by not making the right order). The shredded beef was tender, flavored with green chile. The red sauce was good--not too spicy, but really flavorful. Spanish rice is light, fluffy. Overall, great food, great service--no question its our best option so far on the road home.

You guys have AMAZING FOOD, but your inconsistent hours are going to drive your business into the ground. We have shown up at least 5 times during your business hours, only to find you closed, sending our business to the restaurant across the street. You are literally helping your competition. We have even called ahead of time to find out what your hours are for the day, only to arrive and find you closed. Its gotten to the point where it isnt even worth the trip. For a Mexican restaurant in Arizona, where the competition is fierce, and youre a dime a dozen, AND a small business, I predict you will be closed in a year due to negligence alone. Its hard to have a television contract on the food network without a restaurant.

Food was fairly good. The wifes taco salad was amazing, but my chicken chimichanga was dry and bland. I look forward to trying other food there, and hopefully I can update the stars. Also, please note that this is a "quick service" restaurant. We were expecting to have a server and were surprised when we showed up. Not a big deal, but not what we were expecting (this didnt change my rating either way, just trying to give others a heads up) edit- Got the Carne Asada Torta this time, and it was delicious. Bumping it up to a 4/5.

Robertos is easily my favorite Mexican restaurant. I just came back from San Diego, where I ate Mexican almost the entire time, and I could not wait to get back to my Robertos. The Al Pastor is UNBEATABLE here. The carnitas is the best I have ever had. The tamales cannot be duplicated. I came in when they were serving pozole and I was truly surprised how authentic they made it without sacrificing taste. AWESOME service, always quick, always smiling, and Ill always be coming back. Easily my favorite hangout.

Im not here to trash the place, but giving an honest review. Every time weve got food here it is either far on one side of the scale "soggy" or way on the other side "dry". I feel bad because the people that work here are some of the nicest that you will meet, but the food is just bad. This weekend a friend found a roach in the salsa, and that was kind of the last straw. I figured I should give my two cents.

What can I say, every time I come in here the food is on point. I like that it is a family owned busniess that takes pride in their workers and customers. The guy that works the front register is really cool along with the woman and everyone else and as Im writing this I am eating their green chili burrito at the place. Y los que no asen agree con migo se pueden ir a chingar a su madre!

Started working in the area a little over a year ago and never knew this place existed but I am glad I finally found this place! Food was great, prices are reasonable, people are friendly, and inside is very clean. My food came quickly and hot, I had the chimichanga which was delicious! I definitely will start making this a once a week destination for sure...

Its pretty good, not spectacular, but good. Its pretty much the only place that hasnt anything close to real Mexican food in this area. Sorry Del Taco, you dont count (but its probably the 2nd closest). The al pastor is really good. Its pretty messy too, so get extra napkins! Had the carnitas torts last time I went and that was tasty too.

Great family restaurant! Good service, attentive staff, great food & reasonably priced. Love their authentic style Mexican food. They are very accommodating for special requests & go above & beyond. It has become a family favorite. Thank you very much to Roger and his family/staff for making each visit pleasant & memorable.

I like trying new places, disregarding bad reviews to try it my self .. like a bad movie review it really comes down to you! The carnitas was ok but then nothing compares to grandma Jimenezs the rest of the plate was a big disapointment it all tasted like canned costco white boy crap. But hey Im Mexican! I expect more.

Burrito was good but hot sauce wasnt the best. I use to live in California and wanted to find good Mexican food and so far this is the best. Still not what Im use to but for arizona... I guess this will do. Other Mexican shops have for sure disappointed me! Oh! And they dont have carne sada fries???? Whats up with that?

This has to be the worst managed/owned resturant in the area... 5 times... I repeat 5 times I have attempted to go get food. Everytime they are closed... This is not on a Sunday, but a Monday at 5pm or Friday at 6pm... Just a failure... why put you are open Monday thru Saturday if it is not true.
