Love going here for special breakfasts or just to grab a coffee and something small. Most of their food is pretty indulgent. Would love to see some healthier/fresher options, but maybe thats just me. The cinnamon rolls are DELICIOUS. The staff is great and make me feel like Im in a small town. The lunch and dinner menu, though, could be so much better. I went in with my kids for dinner once and could not find one thing on the menu I actually wanted :( But the environment is great and I highly suggest going for breakfast!

We went on Sunday, July 14 for a late breakfast, about 10:45. The place was busy but we were seated and eventually ordered. We waited - and waited- after 40 minutes the waitress and hostess apologized and said a large party had come in right before us and that a cook had called in sick. After an hours wait we had to leave because of other obligations - still hungry and very frustrated. Suggestion to the diner: let customers know up front if there is going to be an unusual delay.

Food I ordered was not cooked completely. I ordered the fried steak with gravy, slaw, and okra. Okra and slaw was delicious. The steak however was TERRIBLE. It was not cooked completely, wasnt fried, and gravy was mediocre at best. I wont be revisiting this establishment. PS. I will note, the service was good and decor was great as well. It had a "homey" feel to it. The only thing bad was the food provided.

We had delicious flounder, fried okra, black eyed peas, and blackberry cobbler for lunch. All excellent. We get extra home- baked sweet rolls for neighbor surprises. Owner and server very friendly.

Amazing food, amazing people! Traveled through on a motorcycle trip and will be back definitely, cant express how awesome they are! Had the oxmoor breakfast yummy, it is so much 2 people could eat it.

No frills or fuss here, just simple food and good people. You wont find much besides standard diner fare on the menu, but the people make it great. They do have stellar cinnamon rolls however!

Great establishment! Went with my spouse a Homewood Officer, they had a appreciation dinner for the department. Couldnt ask for better service nor food, a great evening! Wonderful food!

Ate here for the first time today for lunch. Baked chicken, greens and mashed potatoes and gravy. Delicious!! I strongly recommend Homewood Diner and Ill definitely be returning.

This is definitely not Bogues it is some other place and a different owner all together. The food is anything but good. I would stick with the main Bogues on Clairmont.

Wonderful friendly service! Great food! Very cozy and comfortable! Wonderful place for lunch. I had the chicken and dumplings, Mac and cheese, and squash casserole.

The workers there are nice. The food is awesome. So what if you get something burnt, you could either send it back or eat it (burnt parts are good for you anyway)

I live nearby and decided to try a breakfast sandwich. The sausage was burnt and I returned it. The manager was left a note to call me back but he never did.
