We have been searching for good hibachi since moving here 5 years ago and were disappointed with all of the places we had been. We prefer the "show" when sitting at hibachi grill tables, but the food was very disappointing everywhere we went. We found Okinawa, which was ok, but was still not as good as I was accustomed to. A google search found this place. My daughter and I went and were NOT disappointed. We really liked the spring rolls and the chicken and Filet hibachi meal was excellent. The meat was tender, rice was excellent and veggies were tender crisp. YUM!!! We ordered the fried Oreos for dessert. They were ok. We will definitely be back. Oh, and the service was great. It was slow when we went so I cannot comment on what its like during busy times. Happy hour drink specials were nicely priced.

This has quickly become my favorite restaurant over the last year. The food is uniformly and consistently delicious. The service is impeccable, warm, and friendly. The plating of the food is exquisite. And it wont kill your wallet to eat here 5 or 6 times a month, which is quite good since everything about this place makes you want to keep coming back for more!

I had my B-day party there on Sunday night. 19 adults +5 kids. Sara and the rest of the staff made all possible to accommodate our party. Food was delicious as always. Chef even made some special (off the menu) sushi for us. Best sushi in B-ham. Everyone in my party was extremely pleased with food and atmosphere. Well be coming back very soon.

Outstanding all the way around! I have been there 5 or 6 times and every time - Their roles are creative and original, the sushi is always fresh and tasty, the staff is super friendly, the location is great, and the restaurant is clean. They even have a cucumber sake, sooo good. This is my new favorite place to get sushi!

Highly recommend this place based on first visit!!! Prompt, warm greeting, and immediate seating. Attentive servers who are not overbearing. EVERYTHING was amazing and fresh. Fish was delicate and fresh. Highly recommend aegan sea love drink, the alabama roll and the pink mountain roll. We will definitly be back!

This place is amazing. The owners make you feel like family. The sushi is killer. Hibachi is high quality, hot, and fresh. Gyoza & ponzu is best weve ever had. Japanese is one of our favorite foods, and can sometimes be hit & miss...let me assure you, Samurai does it RIGHT. A blessing to Vestavia.

Food was delicious! But however the portions are way to small for the price i spent $30 on two rolls. Ive been to many Sushi bars and this one is far overpriced for the size. Other then that the service is great and the place is very clean.

Ive really been digging this spot lately. Excellent Sushi and also a very good Hibachi. They have a wonderful happy hour with specials on Sushi and beers. Service is excellent, a wonderful waitstaff. Highly recommended.

Great sushi! Loved the shrimp tempura roll and miso soup. Shrimp sauce is great too. Very different. Not at all spicy but they have spicy mayo if you want a kick. Nice staff as well!
