After two subsequent visits that were FAR beneath any reasonable standard, Im forced to reduce mine to a two-star rating and wont be returning again. Apparently the first time was a fluke. The second, the food was inedible, had to be sent back. The owner discounted it by $2. Big deal. Then the 3rd time, it was the owner cooking again, ordered the same dish, it came out mediocre. But to make matters worse, only got 4 rice wraps with that plate -- nowhere near enough. The waitress frought 4 more. I ate half of it and asked for a to-go box and more wraps. Got 4 more wraps and they added a buck to the bill for them! The 1st visit, the waiter offered plenty of them AND packaged up a side of Hussin sause to go. The two subsequent visits were unimaginable. Last straw was seeing an Asian couple get mint chocolates with their bill, while I got a crappy fortune cookie. (What happened to the orange from the first visit?!) Not having it... and complaining to the staff apparently did no good.

Authentic, especially when recommend by a university student from China. This evening, for most of my dinner I was the only non-Asian in the restaurant. The menu described the Hunan Chicken with a spicy icon, but I did not find it overly so. The Hot and Sour Soup was outstanding, very different from the typical "Americanized" Chinese restaurant. And what is there to say about so much food for the money. I will continue to return.

Ignore the sketchy exterior. Really. The staff is very welcoming and the food is excellent. This isnt Cantonese-American deep fried junk food. This is beautifully prepared fresh food, redolent with spices, herbs, and rich with umami flavors. My favorites (so far!) are the duck vermicelli and the sizzling beef with onions. I cant wait to take friends and go back.

Ive been going to Spring Garden for many years and all I can say is that aim to please. The quality of food has improved dramatically since I first went their many years ago, and service has also improved. So I highly recommend them you may also walk away with the same impression.

Better than Great Wall,but of course everythings better than that slophole!!! We got there at quarter to 10,They wanted to close but waited patiently until we finished a fine meal,,We are now regulars there,very good food,reasonable prices and plenty to take home!!!!

Found the decor simple but pleasing, the atmosphere was also most comfortable. The won ton soup was very good, the other dishes were also delicious. The wait staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, which helped to make the whole experience most enjoyable.

You gotta try some of the non-standard foods to get where this restaurant shines. SPECIAL CHICKEN HOT POT is off the chain. Try the lamb hot pot too, but bring friends to help eat it.

Delicious. You need to try them. If you like Chow Mein, try the Deluxe Chow Mein. It has shrimp, chicken and pork. They also have the best BBQ pork weve ever had.
