Russian River Vacation Homes
Yum! We, in the office, eat lunch here at least once a week - and sometimes more! And I, personally, eat dinner here weekly (at least) as well! In the off season (winter) the Wednesday night dinners are killer: $25 per person for 3 course meal and add wine by the glass or bottle. In the high season a bistro dinner menu is tasty too: a short menu with several very tasty items at a time. You can grab to go items from the cold case and I highly recommend getting a box lunch to go if you are visiting local wineries and want to picnic out. Wines are available by the glass and to buy per bottle with a great selection of local wines. A featured wine each month is discounted slightly and is a great way to try a new wine. The owners and staff are fun and pleasant (to say the least)! And the biscuits are superb... Some of my favorites: curried couscous from the cold case, the Cubano sandwich, and the new espresso maker!

So far the most social and simple eats in ol Guerneville. They have a range of sammiches with silly names my hungover mouth doesnt want to pronounce. I see myself, a sunglass clad adult man with river hair and sun-kissed cheeks (all four), ordering a "Bacon-Breky Sando, pretty please." Each decent-sized bfast sandwich comes with a sensible small salad - to keep our partied bodies bottom ready, of course. Ive heard raving about their biscuits, but only from groans in the line when the hosts announce that theyre sold-out. As you wait in line with very recognizable pool/river fellows, divert your eye-contact to the bodega-like fridges with neatly assorted novelty drinks and snacks. Order at the cash register and sit down inside or outside to claim a spot before picking up the goods Starbucks-style. My go-to place!

This place is more than just a cute name. The sandwich selections are great; good flavor carefully crafted recipes (not just random proteins thrown between bread) and a cute environment. I recommend the lumberjack and the Smashed Chickpea + Artichoke (guess they ran out of cutesy names). A nice selection of pre-made items and beverages if you are looking for something fast and on the go. I was here on a 91° F day and the lack of air-conditioning was almost unbearable… as were the flies that were all over the place. Outside that good food, good service.

Originally I liked this place, about two years ago, Not anymore. Went there for a quick breakfast sandwich and it was a a horrible experience. The sandwich was all grease, you couldnt taste anything else but grease. For the price that you pay these should be fantastic! yeah, the place is cute in general but the quality of the food is very poor. Also the place didnt seem very clean and that just made me think of the way they keep the back clean and healthy. Not coming back here, sorry. Come on, you guys had it in the beginning, not anymore.

Place is famous because Oprah likes their biscuits. The biscuits are pretty good: light and fluffy, decent texture, good rich flavor. If I had to guess I would guess that there is a fair amount of cream and butter in that recipe. I had the BBQ pulled pork on a biscuit. It was good, but not the best pork I have ever had. Wife had the marscapone and honey biscuit. It looked extraordinarily good. They had Pliny the elder in bottles. They deserve a shot out for that. Place is very expensive. Pretty trendy looking crowd.

Had an exceptionally delicious cheddar apple muffin made with their light biscuit dough as a base. It was light in texture not boringly sweet nor bland, flavor was interesting and done with restraint. Staff was friendly, couteous and helpful even while letting us know closing time was coming up. The place was attractive and had lots of natural light. Interesting things for sale, I will go back to eat and look at the products for sale and hang out a bit. Very pleasant space.

Just a great place with super nice people! One of the beef sandwich Ive ever had! Roast beef with the yummiest horseradish sauce...great bread, and wonderful fresh crisp greens. My husband ordered their potato salad...oh boy solo good. Make sure you try one of their biscuits with creamy butter and strawberry jam...makes me hungry writing this
