They have my favorite croissant in the city, plus delicious La Colombe coffee. The back dining area is adorable, with a fireplace and skylight, while front seating is self-serve and more casual. If your party is more than two for the weekend, get here before 11am to avoid a wait. Another plus: This is very much a neighborhood spot -- the cashier once let me come back to pay when I forgot my wallet.

Nice place for brunch, particularly on sunny days the skylight gives the place a lot of natural light, which is a pleasant change from a lot of stuffy places in the city. Some classic french dishes-simple and delicious. Ive tried their Croque Monsieur, which was pretty good. They also have a selection of yummy desserts- Id go back again just for their chocolate eclair.

A great find in the UES. They have a cozy dining room in the back with a fireplace and skylight. The food was delicious. I recommend the salmon, and for dessert the creme brulee. Service was exceptional. The waiter couldnt have been nicer. You felt like you were at a friends house. Will defintely return. Get a to go bag for breakfast too. Pastries looked great.

Delectable eggs benedict -- the marriage of the brioche with the thick and creamy hollandaise, smoked salmon, and perfectly poached egg...was...a delight. Loses a star for the flies that roamed the back area and the dying flowers on our table. However, you know a brunch spot is good when everyone else (both wait staff and patrons) is speaking French.

Ive visited about 20 times so far, and every time Ive had fantastic food and service. The chocolate croissants are the best - at least in the Upper East Side. Service is always friendly. The cafe is usually filled with customers speaking French, so it feels very authentic! The quiche, omelette breakfasts, and sandwiches are always good.

Stopped in for a coffee here one day while in NY, and the cappuchino was delicious. Upset I didnt get the larger sizes after I slugged it down. I had this chocolate cake that I cant even describe, but it was sprinkled with gold dust and had a wafer cookie inside as well as hazelnut (I believe). If youre in the area, its worth a visit.

We had brunch with coffee, french toast, hot cocoa, eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, and bacon. Greatly exceeded our expectations- the attention to detail was very apparent, especially the eggs. One minor disappointment was that one of our cappuccinos had slightly burnt milk, giving it a sour flavor. Otherwise excellent.

Had Cafe Moulin on my bucket list for a while and finally got the chance to check it out. There was a wait to be seated and the cafe does not take reservations, so make sure you have time if you decide to go. However, you can put your name on the list and take a stroll around Walnut street while waiting.

Came here for croissant, its pretty good, not too buttery or sweet. Paired it with Americano, the coffee bean Im assuming is from La Colombe roaster b/c its presented everywhere in the shop, but it tasted burnt. Im not sure if its bad batch from the toaster (which I doubt) or the way my coffee was made.

I used to go a lot to this place and I loved it, yesterday I came back after three years and the food was terrible. I ordered a french onion soup that the only good thing about it was the cheese on top, I also ordered a lemon meringue pie, it was expensive, old and disgusting, made with fake lemons.

This is a great find in the UES, but only if you are ordering to go. The quaint little interior with a fireplace looked very promising, but the service was slow. We consonantly had to ask for everything. On the bright side, the dessert was delicious and they have a good selection of teas.
