First off I should preface this review with I am not a huge fan of french food to begin with but it was my wifes birthday so she picked! The place The place is very small and they dont except reservations so if you go around prime time except a wait. It very cute if you are a party of two you will get a very small table they is about 2-3 feet from another. Not the greatest for but not terrible either. The staff Our waitress was great she answered all our questions and was back to check on us every few minutes to make sure we had everything we needed. She explained everything on the menu. The food I ordered the Bibb salad to start and I must say I was really disappointed. It literally was a few pieces of lettuce and weak flavorless vinaigrette supposedly with herbs for 7 bucks. It had no flavor and not worth ordering. For dinner I ordered the roasted chicken and was impressed. Normally this is a dish I avoid because it normally is dry or unflavored. However they did a great job it came on a bed of mashed potatoes and green beans. My wife had the Escargot which she loves however she said it was bland but not terrible. For dinner she had the PARISIAN GNOCCHI which she said was ok. The verdict I really cant recommend this place the food is at best average and our bill was 70 bucks for two. I dont see the value for the food quality and portion. As I said before I am not a big French food fan but I have been to a few others and they were way better than this place.

The smiley disposition and cheery attitude of the staff here really made our dinner exceptional. Our server Anna was kind and accommodating and the maî·tre d Eric was so happy to make suggestions and ensure our visit was incredible, which it was! We ordered oysters cooked in Pernod, steak tartare, escargot en croûte and a pâté de campagne to begin, all were stunning. For dinner we enjoyed a wonderfully prepared Bouillabaisse and the Parisian gnocchi prepared with mushrooms, lardons & assorted vegetables. Our wine pairing with each course went perfectly from Viognier and Muscadet to a Gigondas and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Dessert was an exciting, light incredibly prepared chocolate mousse torte and vanilla ice cream with Pedro Ximénez sherry poured over it. Cannot wait to eat here on our next trip to Ithaca.

Cafe Cent-Dix is an excellent and authentic French bistro. They offer a wide selection of appetizers, a fairly short but well-diversified list of entrees, a heavenly dessert menu, and an extensive wine list with very good by-the-glass selections. All the food we ordered was superb, the service was very professional and the ambiance is cozy but elegant. A fine addition to Ithacas "restaurant row" and highly recommended.
