One of my favorite dessert is eclair. It is like an elongated version of cream puff, which is another one of my favorite. When I heard there is a sweet shop who focuses on eclairs, I had to go there. We made it right before they were closing. Well, ok, we got there when they are in process of closing already. But I think my puppy eyes got to the staff, and they let us get couple of their eclairs. But then all of their eclairs looked sooooooo good, it was like jewels in the lit window showcase. I wanted like five or ten of them, but we decided on just two. And that was not easy… But we got to start somewhere, and the staffs were ready to close up and go home for the night. We got Cheese Cake and Dulce de Leche (we actually ordered Matcha...). Since I wanted to have all of their eclairs, I didn’t mind we got a different kind from the one we ordered. Both of them were super amazing and a total eclair heaven! I also discovered later that they have a tasting box which contains mini eclairs, I might want to get that the next time. Or, I can just keep going back there over and over, until I have tasted them all… The staffs there were really nice and friendly, despite the fact that we were delaying them from closing the shop, they still treated us with warm smile. Read my full review of this shop and food on my food blog, foodlovergirl.

I visited this place twice...within 5 days of our NYC trip. It was just that good. The eclairs here are cheaper (though still pricey at $5.25 each) and BETTER than the ones at Dominique Ansel Bakery. And they have soo many flavors.. Things I tried: fresh fruit tart - Basically a tart with pastry cream and raspberries on top. I also bought a large version of this. The crust was slightly thicker and more like a cookie. pear almond tart - The crust was nicely baked and very firm. I liked this one a lot more than the raspberry tart but I also like pears and almonds more than raspberries soo... traditional eclair - Pretty standard. dulce de leche eclair - My favorite of the bunch. Candied almond slices on top and the filling is a lot creamier than in the others. chestnut rum eclair - I like all sweets that are nut flavored and this was no exception. Not sure if I could taste the rum but the nougat pieces on top were a nice touch pistachio eclair - Was okay. If it wasnt for the green coloring and pistachio pieces, Im not sure I would have been able to tell the flavor. passion fruit eclair - Second favorite--very strong passion fruit flavor. almond crunch eclair - Similar to the traditional eclair with almond slivers on top. Everything was amazing.

I miss French pastries especially since I just got back from my trip to France and I cant shake the smell of croissants and buttery canelle... Well, when I found Eclair, I was happy that someone is serving French pastries right! I do secretly wish it is cheaper because I was downing 1 EUR croissant on a daily basis while here I have to pay almost $3. Nonetheless, I tried their Caramel Eclair, which costs $4 a piece. Again, I wish it is a bit cheaper but I guess I am not in France, Am i? I cant complain about the taste and flavor though. It is intense, sweet but not overly sweet like most American desserts. One weird thing about here is there is no restroom. So make sure you take care of that before you think about desserts!

We came to this place after we had some Ramen at Hide Chen which is a block away. It is a small cute place. They have a few tables at the entrance and a bar sitting area. Their specialty are eclairs with different fillings. From coffee to hazelnut to banana. My favorite has been the hazel nut. The eclairs are not the only good thing here. They also have very tasty apple and pear tarts and macaroons. What surprised me was also their amazing iced cappuccino. They also have iced tea, which was great. They open pretty early and close late (7-9pm). Overall great little place tucked away in midtown upper east side.

The éclairs here, while a bit pricey, are so light, delicate, and fluffy that the high price can be justified when they’re purchased for special occasions. If you want a light éclair, go with the strawberry; if you want to completely satisfy your sweet tooth go for the caramel with a crispy sheet of hardened caramel on top. My personal favorite is the praline - it has bits of crushed hazelnuts on top, and a smooth, delectable praline cream in the center. Eclair Bakery is great spot to visit in the mornings for a pick-me-up coffee and an authentic French pastry.

Small, overpriced, and nothing else. I would expect this eclair at Seven-eleven , not a manhattan boutique. Eclairs in eastern Europe where I grew up are 5 times bigger, and also tastier . They dont look like they came out of a 3D printer either. Im a big fan of eclairs, and I figure a 5 star rated bakery in manhattan offers something better than Entenmanns. It doesnt, so back to Entenmanns

I came across Eclair Bakery online and made a delivery-order from across the world, for my bf who is in NYC. Stephane, the owner of this place is trustworthy, professional, quick responder to any inquiries you have!! I now know where to order my gifts from for friends or any house parties! p.s. According to my bf and his coworkers, eclairs and macarons were AMAZING!

The croissant I bought here transported me immediately to our favorite boulangerie/patisserie on the rue St. Germain in Paris. So many places in New York sell ordinary, boring croissants, not worth the calories they contain, but the ones at Eclair are a true croissants au beurre the way they are made in France. This is what you save your calories for!

About 12 flavors of very nice looking eclairs Food: - Eclair: Praline - I only had a bite, but it just tasted sweet to me, and I didnt notice any nutty taste; $4.1 - Chocolate croissant - Very buttery, pretty flaky; it has one thicker line of chocolate on one side of it; $2.8; Overall not bad - Vanilla macaroon - got a sample; it was pretty sweet

A little pricey but worth the splurge once and a while. Then again- these prices are probably up to par with prices around here. We saw lots of locals come early in the morning. Tried the eclair but they definitely gave a good selection of French pastries. Super friendly service. They said they make and bake everything on site.

Everything from this place is delicious! They have so many beautiful and tasty options, it can be hard to choose. Eclairs, macaroons, cheesecakes, you name it. If there are a more than a couple people in line it can take a few minutes to get what you need. But it will be worth the wait!
