Everything you could want packed into a small bar. Slices is simple with a lot to offer. The basics: Its small with "one at a time" bathrooms and limited parking. Its usually cold inside. They have pull tabs, gambling machines, an up to date juke box, and popcorn. Friendly staff, TVs in all the right places, strong drinks, good drink and lunch specials, great breakfast on Sunday morning until 12p, great Friday fish fry and everything is priced perfect. Breakfast takes a lot time even if you get there when they open. The service is slow on Sunday morning as well. They also have occasional events for holidays and such. All the food is good, all the drinks are good, and simply put the atmosphere is good.

Its a small but reasonable place. Appetizers are good, but actual food, like a burger, are surprisingly no good. They serve a lot of Kickball people which is why Ive always like them

If you like hole in the wall places, Slices is the hole in Madison that deserves a stop. Excellent local beer selection, and their cheeseburgers really are the best in Madison.
