A Private User

When I first arrived at Club Ra I wasn’t in the mood for a “club” and thank heavens the name is deceiving. This is not a club at all, this is a wonderful environment to enjoy a drink with friends. Walking in the secluded privacy fence I quickly realized that this is where I wanted to be. Traveling through the deck on the way to the bar I journey passed multiple Tiki torches and fire pits lighting up the pool and private sitting areas. They have mastered the creation of a calm, relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Sitting down inside for the first round of drinks I was just in time for the live musician that began his set on the covered stage outside by the pool. I’m not going to go on and on about how excellent this place is (although I could) you’ll just need to see it for yourself. I read some of the specials on the wall and this is what I remember: Tuesday: something about Biker night (even if you’re not a biker, I was in there on a Tuesday and had a great time with some awesome locals. Wednesday: Recently added Karaoke, sometimes live music on stage Thursday: Ladies night (I think it said free well drinks as well as bottled beer discounts until eleven o’clock, then discounted afterwards ) Friday: Karaoke night (Went for this too, had a blast as nobody cared that my skills aren’t up to par) Power Hour: Every day from 7-8, $10 for all the well drinks you can slam down All the time: $10 buckets domestic. They are not open on Sunday and Monday currently as the owner said that the bar business in the area just isn’t doing well on those days. He also said though, when more people start coming in and asking for Sunday and Monday (like my friends and I are) then he will open up. Some minor cons: Domestics are $3 normal priced when most of the competition is charging around $2.50 (you can still get the bucket price anytime). At the moment they don’t stock many imports (I’m a Dos Equis man myself, still trying to get it stocked). May be a little hard to spot from the road because the parking lot engulfs the entire front portion of the property and all the goodies are hidden behind a privacy fence. There’s still a sign and some lights but the whole street is filled with signs and lights as well. In Summary: Don’t be confused by the name, this place is absolutely the relaxing place to come and hang out, all day and all night. The place is also available and ideal for private parties, corporate, birthday, reunion etc….. I just wanted to take some time and tell people about my new hidden gem hangout. When I came to Club RA 2 years ago I was very impressed with the decor and swimming pool area lay out its in a medetrainan Tikki style with some kind mellow music was played made me feel that I want to be here for ever :-) bartender was a cute looking girl she welcomed me at once with free shot she said owner welcome free shot for new customers I really felt welcomed and prices were very normal there were a couple of attractive girls swimming at the pool at the time and one of them was puffing on a nice cool looking hookah it smelled like grape with mint flavour it was an awsome surprise to know they serve also hookah it was my chill time I stayed at Club RA for 4 hrs really didnot want to leave but had to pick my girlfriend from the airport but guess what I took her back to RA :-) now I took my girlfriend to CLUB RA again after 2yrs its not Club ra any more found that the owner sold the business all I can say its not the same any more . Strange looking customers and sure looks like a hoody redneck bar clumsy drunken people the drinks taste different I know my drink and definitely what I was drinking was not martini at all.wish the management pay attention to the customers more.
