Wife and I went in for lunch. Got the BBQ ribs and Jerk Chicken. First of all, the service was terrible. We were literally the only customers there, and it was several minutes before we were seated, it took the server 15 minutes to get back to is with our waters, and once he dropped off the food, he was never seen again. I had to go to the back room to find someone so we could pay! The Jerk Chicken was overcooked so much that it was difficult to cut through at all, and the red beans and rice were completely dried out. The ribs were cold and full of fat. I am not sure if this is the worst place I have ever been to in Madison, but it is definitely one of them. We will never go back.

Ive been eating here for a few years I usually get the ox tail when they have it but I recently tried the catfish rundown OMG it was so yummy. The place is laid back and I dont go there for five star service but rather the really good food and laid back atmosphere. The owner and staff are nice and work really hard to make sure you will have an enjoyable meal. Ive never left dissatisfied. If you have some time to eat in a laid back environment and want excellent Jamaican food this is a good spot to hit if you are in a rush check out Davids Jamaican because they have a buffet and its good if your are short on time.

Love this restaurant. Coming from someone who has been to Jamaica many times, this is authentic Jamaican flavor. Classic favorites here are the jerk chicken and ox tail stew. They also make delicious key lime pie, and they sell Ting, which is a grapefruit soda made in Jamaica (I used to fill my suitcase with Ting in Jamaica and bring it back and my American friends would buy it off me!). The aesthetic here is definitely casual, or "island style", not fancy by any means. Good prices as well.

My wife and I were looking for an authentic Jamaican experience. The atmosphere, and staff and the food provided great satisfaction to meet this expectation. Jamerica has a friendly atmosphere, the wait staff was friendly and courteous, the service was prompt, and the food... the food was amazing. Deliciously flavorful with just the right amount of spice to really give it an amazing kick! We were impressed and will definitely return.

I just got home to eat my order of curry goat...well first after waiting about 45 min for a 20 min order because the cook walked out and nobody knew. Only to get home and find out I was given brown beef stew. I called back to let that be known and was told it was goat then was asked if I had ever had goat before. Yes I have...which is how I know this is not goat. Needless to say I wont be going back.

Excellent food, great atmosphere with one HUGE drawback. The carpet is disgusting. Im generally not a picky guy on cleanliness, but the carpet is a stale mix of grease and fermented alcohol thats been trampled down so much that replacing it is the only way Ill dine in. Again, Im a huge fan of this place. Change the carpet and youll get 5 stars and more of my business.

Cool place and tasty food but not for the price. Disorganized operation. Told there was no goat, and when the guy behind me ordered goat, was given the same answer, but suddenly the waitress found a goat dish and immediately gave it to him! That was my goat!!! Then was ridiculed in front of other customers for not leaving a cash tip. Wont be going back.

Was there for a grad party. The party was ruined by the rude, unbecoming and to ally unprofessional behavior of the lady manager. While I would like to patronize this restaurant again because of the good good, I doubt that I will because of this ladys behavior. She should be fired and never ever have to deal with customers.

The food is great, the place is layed back and not fancy, think going to some ones house, I liked that but some may not. Wish they would turn the sound off on the TV and play Jamaican music instead lost a star as the TV killed the atmosphere.

I love those places where everythings so laid back that you feel like youre on vacation and Jamerica is one of those. I The best spot is out back on the deck in the summer drinking a couple beers, eating some good food and just relaxing.

Ordered jerk chicken and it was the worst I ever had. It was totally discussing. I did not pay for the meal and made my way straight to Davids Jamaican Cuisine on Monona Drive. It is the best Jamaican resturant in the Madison area.

I love the jerk chicken, thats a given. Try the BBQ chicken and youll be blown away. Great tasting food and a really good value too. Then there is the $5 12" jerk sub, that baby is smothered in pulled pork or chicken... so good.

The food is unique and tasty. All of the jerk dishes are good and some of the Jamaican soda pairs really well with dinner. I have also used them for catering and they did a great job, I think they will even deliver.

The WORST jerk chicken I have ever tasted. I have naver had jerk chicken that was boiled not to mention over cooked . It tasted more like a nursing home meal. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Ordered jerk chicken and curried chicken, and they were bland. I was bored from the first bite, and couldnt even finish a quarter of the plate.

I loved the jerk chicken here, and the plate came stacked tall (if haphazardly) with veggies and rice. A real neighborhood institution.
