Food was fine here. Some dishes were mediocre and some were goos. Service was terrible. We came in, and I received a message which I was checking. The server basically shoved the menu in my face without even the slightest of the intimation. Very rude! We were not given all our orders together. At first, my colleges were given rice and I wasnt. They were not given their naans, but they got their curries. They waited for a good 10 minutes before they received their naans. I was told Ill be getting my serving of rice soon. And after asking three times, over twenty minutes, I was told that my serving of rice was included in the serving of rice with my colleagues. The dessert was given after I was given the check. I was overcharged for the food. Apparently, the prices were changed on their new system but the menus were not upgraded. I stood my stand to paying for what was provided on the menu, and not a dime more. My colleagues were overcharged as well. All this happened when there were one other set of patrons. All other tables were empty and this was 2 hours before closing. If they cannot handle two tables, I am not sure how they would be able to handle the situation when most of the tables are occupied. Not a good experience. Not going to recommend the place to anyone.

Only Indian food gig in town. Prices are uncontested. Setting is very stark. Nothing more than a fair Indian meal. The food is not too bad. But consistency & quantity is variable. They just got a new cook & @ my last visit blamed him/her for serving me in a much smaller bowl than usual. Did replace only one out of the 3 orders that we had for the right quantity. The place does not have any specials; not even on a special occasion like Diwali. Afternoons buffets are ho hum; nothing out of the ordinary, & bland for the traditional non-vegetarian, but, OK for the uninitiated asking for an Indian meal. A la Carte is the way to go if you really want to. The liquor pours are generous vs other nearby restaurants, especially if you ask. Overall, OK for a quick evening out, but not the place for a romantic getaway. And once again, very pricey for the food... vis-a-vis standard Indian fare elsewhere.

The food is amazing. And as someone else said, its very much akin to aromatherapy when you walk in. While my wife isnt overly fond of the place, due to her limited palate, I could eat there every day for the rest of my life and be perfectly content. The only places Ive eaten better food were in Philadelphia and Las Vegas. And those were a lot more expensive, with higher class dining in Philly. And a massive buffet in Vegas. If you like Indian food, or have never tried it, but are curious, you have to try here. Its out of this world. Staff is extremely attentive, and very polite. I found the decor to be quite charming, and the restaurant as a whole to be clean.

By far this is the best Indian food you will find in WV! I moved to Charleston from Baltimore, MD a year ago. In the Bmore/DC area, I blessed with the opportunity to sample the best of the best of Indian cuisine. Boy was I disappointed when I went to the Sitar of India in Charleston and was served bland, yet hot dishes that tasted as if they had come from the frozen food section of the local Indian grocer. (Blah!) One night while having an intense craving for good Indian, my fiance and I treked to Huntington to see what Nawab was all about. And the drive was well worth it! In summary, dont go to Sitar of India! Go to Nawab!

I had goat curry and mango chicken split with a friend. Also non bread and yogurt for the rice. The food was nothing short of fantastic. Not exactly cheap but reasonable for the quality of the food and service. Best service Ive had in a while. The waiter stood close by when he wasnt busy and was very eager to help, which is a rare thing. Almost kind of strange that he just stood there but I think its a cultural thing. Didnt bother me at all. My glass was never empty and he was very quick to offer more rice. Excellent food and service. Reasonable price. Couldnt ask for much more.

Ate here a lot. Not a fan of the buffet butter chicken basically clay baked chicken broke into pieces and put into curry. The chicken maysala is the best. No beef dishes. I love beef curry. Also thry should add garlic naan to the buffet bc the buffet is kind of boring. Besides that i like the food when the buffet is set on the food i like. The buffet is different daily so u may not get what you like that day. Melroy is the best waiter, ask for him and tip him well. He always is polite and takes care of you with a smile.

From out of town, stopped by for lunch buffet. They sat me and served me even at 2:15 PM, fifteen minutes before the close of lunch. Their official website didnt list the split hours, but I wasnt harried by the staff at all. The food is a good quality for a buffet. Very tasty, great spices, mild to no heat, but it is a buffet selection. Looked like three vegetarian dishes(one with cheese), three chicken dishes, plenty of naan and good rice. If you are ever in the area and enjoy Indian food, give them a try.

Indian is our favorite cuisine. Ive eaten it in at least 50 different places throughout the country. Nawab is among the best. As a matter of fact, Im in Hanging Rock, Ohio today, so Im going to travel there today for lunch. Make SURE that your first visit is during the buffet. I cant begin to count the dozens of times that Ive had the buffet there, and never twice has it been the exact same foods. Always incredible though!

I went thinking it would be a buffet, but that is lunch only. I was concerned because I didnt know what to order. We ordered two different dishes at the recommendation of the waitress. Mine was the Chicken Chilly medium spicy. It was amazing! I tasted the other diners Chicken Tikka Masala and it was also very good. Even the rice and garlic naan were great. Highly recommended.

I travel for work and have been to many many small towns... many that lead to very disappointing Indian food restaurants. This one was definitely one that broke the mold... I absolutely loved it. Very authentic and lovely. Great priced and great service. The interior design felt a little out of date, but that doesnt affect how great the food was.

My whole family LOVES to eat here! My sons especially like the "lobster chicken" and the breads, and some of the veggies. Everyone I have brought here likes the orange-colored chicken in a creamy sauce, the salad with marinated chicken, the desserts, and at least some of the vegetables on the buffet. We always feel better after we eat there.

Ive been a Huntington resident for a decade and never had such a consistently wonderful restaurant experience. The waiters are incredibly attentive, the food is absolutely wonderful, the menu is varied and interesting, and EVERYTHING is good here. Just walking in is aromatherapy, since they grind their own spices on site.
