I love Indian food and am always up for trying a place I have not been to before, but this one disappointed me. The flavor was not bad, but I had higher expectations based on the reviews and the price. This was definitely the most expensive Indian restaurant I have been to. Not only are the entrees more expensive than most, but they are a la carte. Every other place I have ever been includes the rice in the cost of the meal, but here you have to order it separately. I also had to spit out half of the chicken because it was so fatty. The owner was indeed very nice, but we sat there for 15 minutes by ourselves before anyone came out of the back to greet us. If the door had not been open, we would have thought they were closed. If you do go, I would recommend being prepared to spend a lot, and order vegetarian to avoid having to spit out chicken fat and shrimp tails.

My husband (boy friend for the first part of our long relationship with the cook house) have always enjoyed the food, the bar, the people. We started going to the cook house when i turned 21. Its been seven years! Its still good, and the patrons at the back of the bar are still old and scraggly (with the occassional person under 30 there) and its always fun. Food has NEVER EVER been bland? So... thats very strange some ppl have said that. Ive gone these last seven years and always thought the food was delicious! Anyhoo, just HAD to put my two cents in because i was seriously flabbergasted when i read the words "bland" haha

This is a funky little hole-in-the-wall Indian Restaurant that is connected to a bar in the back, and thus they have a good selection of drinks as well. The food here was a pleasant surprise to my wife and I. They have a decent vegetarian selection, and all of their dishes taste good, specificially the saag, tandoori, and aloo ghobi. They even have whole wheat paratha (bread). As mentioned in another review about this place, the owner is a friendly guy who is very accommodating in terms of the menu and very enjoyable to speak with.

The Indian food side of this restaurant, Indian Palace, is amazing. The food is always delicious and the naan is perfect. I have no idea why but we always have the place to ourselves. The owner is almost always there and is very friendly and attentive. He remembers us and even what we like to order! If youre looking for a delicious dinner or lunch buffet check this place out!

I live in woodinville and I happened to eat at this restaurant years ago and at that time I thought it was horrible. Fast forward to now - 5+ years I wanted to go out for Indian and this place was neaeby, I thought why not give it a try. Worst mistake ever. Do not spend your money here. I rarely post reviews, in this case I thought it would be a public good.

Food was utterly bland. No taste. No heat. Nothing. Triple the amount of way overpriced rice as was needed for what in other circumstances would have been a very meager portion of sauce. Ive eaten bad food and forgone leaving a negative review before, but I wish I would have had more warning before choosing this place.

Monday-Friday lunch buffet, 11:30am-2:00pm. $8.99 on the restaurant side, $7.99 on the bar side. Its fantastic. The people are lovely and the food is delectable. Oh! There is also an American menu for those who arent into Indian food. Try it. Youll like it!

First Indian palace has friendly and helpful staff. OK on to the bad which is everything else. The food was bland and tasteless overall. I would not ever recommended anyone to dine at this establishment. I dislike writing bad reviews but I had to this time.

The buffet menu is small. Main course was ok. We got to taste spoiled dessert. After complaining, the waiter defended saving it was freshly prepared. We decided to try this restaurant after reading all reviews. I feel, this restaurant is over-rated.

The goa curry and pulau rice were spot on. Exactly what I had been craving! Dont skip the stuffed paratha (think naan stuffed with chickpeas and potatoes or cauliflower and spices...mmm) as an appetizer or with your meal.
