Im not sure what the fuss is about here. Yes, the pastries were lovely to look at but nothing better than any great Seattle bakery. The food itself was subpar to put it nicely. The drinks were atrocious. And though the cashier was very nice the bartender/barista was hostile towards nearly everyone, customer and staff alike. Then theres the cleanliness factor. This place is filthy from head to toe. The tables, the floors, the walls, the do it yourself silverware station, the kitchen, even the cup the drink came out in looked like it hadnt been washed in several customers usage. Ive seen cleaner gas station bathrooms. Shortly after eating here I began to feel ill and it hasnt let up in the last day. I have no desire to ever come back here for any reason whatsoever.

I love the thoughtful, bohemian vibe and the reliable, delicious food. Snapdragon is beautifully redecorated in a rustic style with approachable chalk boards and pastry display that is evocative of looking in the kitchen window of a neighbor you wish you had. To go offers pastries which range from savory to every type of sweet, drip coffee and espresso. The sit-down menu offers fresh and hearty vegetarian fare in a warm and eclectic seating area with soft cushions on inset benches and wooden chairs. During spring, summer and fall the back patio garden is a quiet haven where I have enjoyed many breakfasts and lunches with family. I proudly recommend Snapdragon to everyone who is visiting or new to Vashon or Maury Island.

Baked goods were the best that we have ever had!!! Check out the photo of the Danish. We got the danish with fresh strawberries and blueberries. My parents got the cinnamon roll and a vegetarian dish. Since we discovered this special place, we have been back numerous times. Its the number one place we bring guests when we come to Vashon. - Things that were great: Danish, Cinnamon Roll, Springtime in Paris (eggs and toast). - Things that were okay: the curried pancakes were not one of their best dishes, but they were still good as a vegetarian dish. I also had a client who ordered a wedding cake, and it was delivered flawlessly to her wedding. The guests were raving!

Went there on a summer Saturday just before noon. Much nicer in the interior than appears from outside. A bit cramped up at the counter, it was busy at the time and patrons had some confusion queuing. Be sure ready to order when at the register, the service is quick. The portions are generous, I had the spicy cheese roll, delicious and plenty left for a later snack. The coffee was excellent too. Great little garden patio in the back, I was surprised more people werent using it. I will definitely return next Island, their breakfasts looked great.

Warning this is a vegetarian restaurant that even a meat eater such as myself can eat at as well. I do not recommend the turkish pizza as it was not quite balanced enough for me most likely too much tzatziki sauce and too rich of a tomato sauce without anything to balance the riches of the 2 sauces. The pizza that was the special was very good as was the other 3 dishes that our group ordered as well. The bakery area closed before we bought anything though was too full to really think about ordering dessert anyway.

This place does a lot and it does it all very well. A surprisingly robust vegetarian menu (this coming from a staunch omnivore), the best bakery Ive ever encountered, and a professional staff that are overcommitted to excellence. All this from just one part of their business model. If you have the pleasure of spending time on the island, Snapdragon is a must see.

Staff is super rude. Have people coming into my work saying " is something wrong with me. ....cause I just left after being ignored" get a better staff, except for the Larkin and the woman working at the bar. Used to go every day. Now wont step in there. Except the bar. Dont act like one person is better than the last. It will get you no where.

My friends and I make special trips to Vashon just to eat at Snapdragon. It is the best food on the island, in my opinion. And the owners are awesome. There is a ton of seating, food is super fresh and tastes like it is made with sincere love for the craft. I cant say enough nice things about Snapdragon. Try this place out, youll love it.

This is a classic Vashon restaurant, with good food and minimal service. The soups are excellent and pastries really stand out. The staff care about the food and needs of the customer. If good vegetarian food is what you need, and you are not in need of table service, this is a solid Vashon choice.

Food is amazing. Blends of spices and cultures go into the creativity of the menu. Unfortunately, counter service takes forever. 4 to 5 on the food depending on what your craving and a 1 for service. Good patio for eating out with dogs in the back during summer.

We love this place. We go there at least once a week. The food is always good and hardy. Theres a good selection of wine and beer, AND they have a new bar. Its very relaxed and cozy with great smells always wafting out of the kitchen.

There isnt one thing I dont love about this place. I get excited every time I visit the island because I know Im getting a delicious vegetarian meal. The pastries are to die for. Even if your not vegetarian please give it a try.

Wow. So good! The food and drinks were amazing. Very artisan and nourishing. Surprisingly large portions. The atmosphere was also very enjoyable. We got pizza, potato dill soup, raspberry iced tea, and some delicious pastries!

Horrible taste of veggie food. Long wait. Service is slow and unfriendly. Baking goods look very dry, days old, and bland. A bit too pricey for the taste and service. May come back to Vashon but never again to this restaurant.

They have a local dairy whipping cream that I love, bulk cereals and snacks, and are open great hours. The deli is awesome. Usually good fruits and veggies. A good range of standard brands and local stuff. Nice staff

Its bigger than it looks from outside! Excellent baked goods and coffee. More eccentric coffee orders can throw the baristas for a loop. I was also surprised to see a variety of artistic events hosted here.
