Just attempted (Aug 19) to have dinner. Waitress took order, i asked for Raspberry vinaigrette for my Chef Salad. Salad came...(consisting of chopped ham, SHREDDED turkey crumbs, black olives and no cheese) .the Raspberry Vinaigrette turned out to be Raspberry Syrup. Looked and tasted like honey with a raspberry favor. I am Type 2 Diabetic. NOT COOL. i set the salad dressing to the side and decided to order another dressing (oil and vinegar) when the waitress returned. my guest and I continued to eat, and eat, and eat, finishing our food. The waitress NEVER RETURNED. no refills on ice tea or water, nada. I picked up the check (which she left with the meal) and headed to the front cash register where our waitress emerged from the back to take our payment. The other half of the entertainment was the chaos and yelling noises coming from the Kitchen staff.! wow! quite the audio floor show!. No thanks no more, i have tried several times now thinking each issue was a fluke.. No fluke it is a way of life for Country Rose Cafe. cheap food, cheaply prepared, bad service. No one cares. Very Very Very sad indeed.

As soon as I walked in I was greeted in a cold manner and nobody would even look me in the eye I already felt iffy about going to a place in spanaway being a minority. I was in my work uniform Im a bus driver so obviously i was going to pay, the waitress kept rushing me and checked up on me once and never ever even made eye contact and the only time she checked up on me its while she was passing by and asked " is everything OK " while walking past me and putting my bill on the table and not even waiting for what I have to say. The food was horrible and over priced and it came out in less than 5 minutes . when I was done witrh the food and paid I was still sitting at my table and was on my phone and finishing my drink and she kept staring out of the back constantly as if she was waiting for me to leave it was crazy....I dont think Ill ever go back there not sure if thats a place for minorities to go to.

They carry a gluten free bun (I have gluten and dairy allergies) and they are 5 minutes from me. So I decided to give them a try. I order a Hawaiian burger with no cheese add mushrooms. Their fries are breaded and I can not eat them so I had it substituted w a salad no cheese no dressing. This was a pick up order. I was charged for extra mushrooms, I was charged for a salad substitution and for the gluten free bun. I get home and the salad could not of been smaller, but whatever. And then i open my burger... they gave me a small 1 oz plastic portion cup with uncooked raw mushrooms. What a joke. I called and tried to speak w a manager but they were "to busy" to talk. I wont be going back... ever. I payed 14 bucks for a $9 burger and fries. Last cent of mine this rip off place will get from me. Hope it was worth the extra couple bucks to lose me (and my family of 4) as a customers forever.

Ill start by saying this is a breakfast restaurant that I rally look forward to and have been going since they opened up here in Spanaway. However, 10/1/2016 was exceptionally disappointing. There was something off in the atmosphere when I walked in. Usually a super friendly welcoming place that I meet friends at and take family too. Just off. Sat down and ordered a farmers hobo and biscuit. My son ordered his usual. Mine came and the eggs in the hash where grayish and shinny. The potatoes where white. I tasted it...eggs were not cooked & hardly warm. Immediately put it aside. Waitress came over and I told her that it was bad and not done. Waitress said,I thought it looked under cooked. WHY DID YOU BRING IT TO THE TABLE THEN!!!! It is hard to find a good breakfast place and this has been my favorite for years. It was the first time my 16 old son has seen me send back food.

My moms family lives in the area and we always used to go to this restaurant at least once when we visited. I even made it a habit to get a bite here on times when I was TDY at Ft Lewis a few times. I am happy to say the portions and quality of the food has been fantastic over the last decade Ive eaten here. They are always friendly and there is plenty of seating, even for large groups. My only concern, is that the price has risen much since my younger days. My wife, our two year old and myself spent $39 on breakfast before the tip. Which was disconcerting, but since the Washington legislature likes to keep thinking servers and cooks need to paid like nurses and cops, its no surprise. (no offense meant to any of the aforementioned professions). Needless to say, Country Rose Cafe is a staple of the Spanaway strip! And a great family dining experience.

Forget everything else-----you MUST have the 12th Man Burger! It is the best burger that I have had in a very long time and certainly the best burger that I have had in this area besides Monster Burger. The bacon is juicy and maple-hickory smoked--not burnt or dry or tasteless like other places. The burger patty itself is so well seasoned; it is almost orgasmic. The buns are toasted and buttery . The special sauce is so amazing; its sweet and succulent with a tang to it. The fresh tomatoes and cheese and ham really add a special touch. I LOVED this BURGER soooooooooooooooooooooomuch !! I dont understand why this isnt advertised in a more bold way. This burger is so kick ass and you wont be able to finish it all in one setting! It is well worth the price!!! Stop reading and just ORDER IT already!!!!

This past August, I was visiting my grand kids in the Tacoma area and went to a car show with my grandson in the parking lot of a restaurant close by. Decided that I wanted to try out the Family Restaurant instead of the pizza one (too many calories in pizza) and Country Rose had a pleasant sound to its name so we gave them a try. The food was excellent the service was superb and the price was also very good and I like the atmosphere of a "family restaurant". Everything was so good, I went back a second time with my wife the next week. Everything was as good as before, maybe even better.

Stopped in for lunch and was in the mood for a salad. Veey nice hostess, clean and plenty of seating but food was only ok. Over $11 for a small salad, with not much in it, I thought was excessive. Waitress never asked if I needed anything else or how it was. Just quickly dropped off check without telling me I needed to bring it to the cashier. After a while I turned it over and read the instructions. All in all, just an ok lunch.
