Great Record Store, Horrible Restaurant I love Easy Street for their dedication to music; from the free concerts to the décor of the café -- its clear that theres a passion. Its a shame that doesnt carry over to the food; such can best be described as The Eagles of Comfort Food. The breakfast items are pretty mediocre; not quite as bad a the lackadaisical hipster service -- where youll have to awkwardly flag down a server after ten minutes to even take your order. Its not uncommon to be given dirty cups (for your room temperature water) or silverware. I dont expect pristine levels of cleanliness, but -- I would at least like sanitary plates without the crust of somebody elses meal. Christ... Eggs are rubbery, bacon is thin and overcooked; hashbrowns are hilariously greasy, raw in the middle, unseasoned, and burnt on the outside; toast is hilariously overpriced, because: of course it is. You will seriously have a better tasting breakfast at McDonalds. The Weekends Only items are really the best things they offer, and even they arent worth your time. The burger and lunch items are worse. Dont even bother with anything besides breakfast if you must eat here. If you want a burger, just walk to Coastline, instead. Theyre great. It didnt always used to be this bad, so, something has changed. Hopefully, they fix the food because its a great location and an interesting concept. Skip the food; pick up an album, instead.

I placed an order for two Vinyls that I could not find anywhere. Now, its three days before Christmas and I had no doubt that I would not be able to get these items (which I had bought as a Christmas gift). The order was for pick up at the store but I did not receive any info when to pick my items up. I called and a very nice man named Andrew answered. He was pleasant, funny, and even though he could not answer my question, he found someone that did I was informed that my items would be ready tomorrow morning. Now I wasnt going to be able to come in the morning and asked if I could come in on the 24th which I was happily informed that it would be no issue. So two vinyls that I had been searching for were in stock during the busiest holiday season, were ready in under 24 hours for pick-up, and had wonderful customer service experience. The only thing I would ask is to put on the confirmation email how long until pickup. Overall, expectations exceeded and overly satisfied.

I placed a to go order for a breakfast sandwich. The young woman at the to go counter was in a bad mood, which I understand because I also work in customer service full time and it isnt easy. However I felt like she was judging me based on my appearance, and thought I would be rude and therefore was impolite before I said anything. She said the sandwich would take 10 minutes, it took about 15- which is fine. I sat at the seats by the entrance. However I saw her eating in the kitchen and another waiter brought me the sandwich which had been at her counter for at least 5 and which she had ignored. All of the other waiters/waitresses seemed friendly and attentive although they were on their phones, and the sandwich is good. I wont order to go from them again, mostly because of her carelessness.

I dont EVEN walk into this store unless Ive budgeted at least a couple of hours! I get totally sucked in to the whole environment, and can spend all day digging through all the vinyl upstairs, searching for the next hidden treasure or Holy Grail from the era where vinyl reigned supreme (rightfully so - no recorded medium sounds as good). The main floor has an ample supply of CDs, DVDs and VHS, and if you discover you are feeling a bit drained after all the digging youve been doing, the cafe has a pretty full selection of items to refuel you. I am glad this place still exists, There used to be a lot of places in the Seattle area to go vinyl-shopping, but they have been disappearing over the years~

TL;DR - great coffee, order the Betty breakfast, Dominique is a fantastic server. The cafe has a cool unique vibe, set in a record store and covered with music references. It has a strong diner feel so do not expect anything fancy. Dominique was our server and I cannot say enough good things about her. She was friendly, funny and on top of everything. Their coffee is from cafe vita, and is very good. She continues to top off the coffee every chance she could which was greatly appreciated. The Betty breakfast was easily one of the best breakfast burritos Ive ever had. It was crunchy, hearty and perfectly cheesy. Highly recommend!

When it comes to records you cant beat the real deal vibe of this classic venue. Food is worth the wait on the weekends. Yeah they have a little bit of that "We are cooler than you, we work in a record store" but lets face it. They are cooler, they work in a record store. A legendary record store. Plus it never interferes with giving great customer service or sharing in the love of the music with everyone who browses the aisles. Spend time looking at the signed posters, try the hash and check out what they are playing. You are sure to find a vinyl or CD that belongs in your collection.

Is this place only in business because of the record store attached to it or because Anthony Bourdaine came here??? I have never had a good meal here EVER!! Today was by far the wort experience I have had here!! Thats why Im taking the time to write this review. Eggs and toast are the only things that dont taste like they came from a can! The waiter we had today was one of the worst I have ever had! He clearly did not give a F**k!! Dont waste your time coming here!!

Record and coffee shop with good food and friendly service. I had the Hank Williams Western omelette ( add fresh jalapenos minus the sweet peppers & put the spicy aardvark sauce on your hash browns) with a double Americano, all was delicious and I would order again. My GF had the Easy Street burrito with spinach tortilla and finished the whole thing. Add some tapatio to your dish to top it off and youll leave happy and full. Great experience and cool atmosphere.

I used to love this record store. In a way, I still do, but there are some issues. Way too many CDs, not a great selection of vinyl records. In a day and age where hardly anyone buys CDs, they really should focus more on the collectors, and the audiophiles. The LPs should be downstairs, and the CDs should be in the smaller area upstairs. They should do recommendation sections from the staff, and suggestions for the records. The little cafe is great though!

This is the best record store Ive ever been in. It has a large downstairs area for general products, CDs, DVDs, etc. The upstairs area is a huge loft packed with vinyl. Its a good way to set up the store because the general public can crowd the downstairs area while vinyl enthusiasts can hide away in the magical upper level. Lots of new vinyl as well as used at really great prices. Only downside to me is that its all the way over in West Seattle.
