I walk my dog past this place twice a day for the past six months. The owner is usually working in there in the morning when I walk by at 6am and hes still there when my dog and I walk by again at 10pm. I started wondering what was going on in this very nicely appointed yet cozy Japanese restaurant. With the precision of a Japanese swordsmith, my ramen noodles were prepared and served. But wait, before I get ahead of myself, first we had fried gyoza - outstanding really, with a hand made flourish these beautiful little pockets were steamed and served in the bamboo steamer. We then had a serving of the house original Ramen noodle. Oh my, youre not going to believe how perfect everything is prepared. The noodles are just right, the broth is perfect, and unlimited soft boiled eggs served on the side. I had a Sapporo Beer and I made sure to buy the chef one as well. Make sure and tip these tireless people. Its well worth the trip and Ill bet that youll see me there some time. For sure Im going back.

Lots of cell phone "reviews." 5 stars, no words. Useless to someone looking for a descriptive experience. My wife and I stopped by one month ago. The young waiter greeted us. Funny this place did not really look like a restaurant, but more like a fast food noodle place. I wanted to sit at a table available next to the door but this young directed us to the "basement." He wanted us to squeeze between two tables elbow to elbow with strangers... When I pointed out that 2 tables of 4 were available on the other side of the room. Oh no! he said, you cant sit there is reserved for 4 people. It was 2 in the afternoon, no one was waiting to be seated. Ramen places in Japan are the McDonald equivalent. I had an epiphany... maybe I should open a McDonald and start directing my customers to specific tables so I can maximize space usage. This is what this Ramen place is all about... Maximizing $$/sq footage. We just left.

I went to Ramen Man a couple months ago with a friend - I got the tori-paitan ramen and my friend got the miso ramen. They offer two different types of noodles, the traditional slightly wavy yellow noodles and a finer straight white noodle. I think the white noodle would go well with their vegetarian ramen, but with the tori-paitan, its not as good a choice. The tori-paitan broth is nicely rich and eminently pleasing and the toppings were generous, though I did not avail myself of the unlimited egg. My friend and I were both happy with the food and the service, and Im definitely planning on going back. I want to try the miso ramen and the vegetarian ramen. (Well, actually, I want to work through most of the menu.)

This ramen shop is interesting. First, it has unlimited hardboiled eggs but they are not the marinated eggs that you expected from a ramen shop. Second, it offers egg noodle and flour noodle. I ordered egg noodle but I will go again just to try the flour noodle. Also, this place main soup base is chicken soup instead of tonkotsu which is more common in Seattle. The egg noodle has really good texture, crispy and chewy. The soup is also really good. I ordered the garlic chicken soup base one. I found actual chunky pieces of garlic. Overall really good ramen! I would prefer the marinated egg with running yoke tho.

I was elated when this place opened up in Wallingford, as I have had cravings for traditional style ramen after living in Japan. This is as close as you can get in this neck of Seattle. My favorite is the Garlic Shouyuo Ramen, get two eggs even if you cant finish the whole bowl. It will give you something to do while you wait. Dining quarters are tight with other tables so you will talk about other couples after they leave. Its a good cheap date dinner that will leave an impression. If you show up and they are packed there is a great izakaya style sushi and yakiniku place next door that will be sure to seat you.

Unlimited hard-boiled eggs! Need I say more? Ive dined here maybe 3-4 times in the last couple years and one thing is evident, theyre consistent. Not the best bowl on the block, but the complex ramen flavors I expect are all there, along with all the delicious accoutrements (pro tip: always wise to double up on the chashu pork - its just so damn tasty!). My personal favorite is the garlic miso soup, along with the spicy shoyu. And dont forget about the hard-boiled eggs!

As someone who recently moved away from the college diet of Top Ramen and Cup Noodles, I was always curious what real ramen was like and have heard about Ramen Man from coworkers. I must say, I know now that Ive been eating the wrong kind of ramen all my life. With it cozy setting, friendly staff, and unlimited hardboiled eggs (with the purchase of ramen), I know now what my favorite cold-day/night place to eat is. Definitely recommend.

Honestly, the only people that can like this place are those that have never eaten at any other ramen place. Broth has very little flavor, bowls are extra small, noodles have a weird, non-ramen taste and the boiled eggs are cold and uncracked. Its the worst ramen Ive had in the Seattle area and second worst Ive ever had. The steamed gyoza were good but not enough to save the meal.

Thought they were open so went in 3 minutes before 4:30pm and was sent back out. Guess they dont know how to lock a door. Side note name probably should be changed to Chicken Ramen Man. Everything is chicken though they give one nod to vegetarian. No signage to indicate if they even make their own noodles. Also you dont get to pick toppings!!

Ordered miso ramen. The broth is very thick and extremely salty to my taste. Both sliced meat and half boiled egg are cold when it was served. I choose the no egg noodles and it is very average and slightly undercooked. I have to drink water to finish my noodle. Disappointed and will not recommend to friends.

To me, their ramen broths are the most unique in the bay area. The trifecta of bonita - pork - miso come together to create a rich and savory flavor that none of the other ramen shops are even close to. And while I love the ramen here, sweet baby Jesus, their salmon tartare is what dreams are made of.

The ramen was hot and broth was tasty and their ramen dishes come with unlimited boiled eggs. Win win win. This place was also less busy than others down the street on a Saturday night - we were able to get a table right away and food within 30 minutes. Great place, good vibes and better food.

My wife and and I go here all the time. I usually get the Volcano Ramen and ask for a few extra eggs (they are free!). I have also enjoyed the garlic shoyu ramen. They are really savory and delicious. It might be the best ramen in Seattle. Great place to go on a cool night.

It seems to be the only place in Seattle that serves ramen in chicken broth which is good for people who looks for a change from a typical tonkotsu broth. While the soup is clear, I wish it could pack more flavors. The pork could be softer and more flavorful.
