Before i say amything, this is my first time here. The waitress who took our order has terrible manner. I asked her what the unagi fried rice was since there was no description of the dish on the menu. She said "it is fried rice with veggies and fish." I asked what kind of fish was it. I swear to God, she used the most annoyed tone and said "it is unagi. Fish. Eel." Man, I like ramen but not enough to visit again. The menu has great options and I would love to try more of the drinks and ramen but I hate to be rushed when I dont know what is on the menu. We understand it is 7 pm it is getting busy, but the waiting list didnt start after we ordered. Beside the rant, food was served in less than 10 minutes and they are great. The ABC ramen was chewy, has lots of meat in it and has a flavorful soup. The fried rice was ok. It was moist. Not something Id want my fried rice to be. The unagi sauce wasnt very noticeable. It was plain. We just got our receipt and on the two copies, the suggested gratuity suggestions were different. We would love to hear from them but I was too annoyed to sit there any longer.

The Ramen was actually pretty good but the customer service was awful. They had two girls running around switch between tables, and while one was mildly polite the other would barely even talk to us,l and was rude at times. It took forever to get a glass of water, misheard our order and brought us the wrong food, then went back and got my fiancé his food but still messed up my order. I told my Fiancé to eat while I waited for my order which took about 15 minutes to get to us. After that, they brought us the wrong bill (the bill was for someone who ate by themselves but luckily Im honest) and then waited another 15 minutes to get the right bill. Normally I would forgive some of the excess time because the place was packed but their rudeness was something else. Two stars because the food was actually pretty good and they had melon soda.

We were craving ramen because we couldnt get any during the ramen festival and happened to be in San Mateo so we went here. The line wasnt too long for Sunday lunchtime, it was about 30 mins for 2 people so we walked around instead. Staff are ok, kind of rushed and brash. We ordered the karaage chicken, bean sprout salad and chargrilled beef ramen to share. All were really good, esp the beef ramen. Im not a ramen connoisseur, but I can tell if ramen is tasty or not. This was definitely yummy. I havent had much beef ramen but prefer it over pork. The beef was super tender and grilled medium rare. The broth was delish and not too salty. The noodles were chewy and there were loads of it. Big portion so I shared it. The bean sprout salad didnt look appetizing but it was. And the chicken was average, good but nothing special.

Lets put it this way...My Guy lives in Oakland and I live in Phoenix. I had a layover in SF recently (Im a Flight Attendant) and got in pretty late at around 9:30. Most places were starting to close but Ajisen was still open so we decided to eat here even though we really wanted something else. They were only serving Ramen since it was so late. My Honey order the BBQ Pork Ramen and I got the Miso Ramen. Both of them were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! We were literally moaning, groaning and slurping the entire meal. I just got another trip assignment and Ill be laying over in Oakland and were already making plans to go back!!!! Im sooooo excited just thinking about that damn Soup!!!!

Not much of a Ramen aficionado but I do expect when I order something that I would get it. I ordered with extra barbecue pork on my Ramen. My order came wave down a waiter or server. Mentioned that my order did not come with my extra barbecue pork. He straight says I saw you eat it! Like how can I have eaten it I just sat down and you just gave me my order. Mind you this BBQ pork when you order extra usually comes in three slices and other reputable Ramen spots. Over here its a dollar fifty for a really really thin slice. Cant complain about the room and the ramen tasted good but the service and how they treated me for my first time I will never come back...

The basics: MasterCard/Visa only. Good for kids and family. Good for groups, but not too large. Casual vibe. Noisy. Soup stock is flavorful and hot, so thats a positive overall no matter which ramen you get. I prefer simpler ramen without a lot of stuff, so if you are like me you might want to tell them to go easy on the garnishes, which by default they really load up on). Service is typically un-Japanese since this isnt a Japanese owned restaurant -- rushed, loud, haphazard. Food - good, not great. Service - good enough if you dont expect much.

Im giving this place an extra star because their ramen is decent and Id rather not wait at Ramen Parlor. The young waitress had the worst customer service! No greeting, no eye contact. We wanted to order and she just came to our table without saying anything and just waited for us to tell her what we wanted. She looked really pissed off like we offended her somehow. I wanted to say something about her attitude but I didnt want anyone to spit in my food. Anyways, theres plenty of restaurants around that at least would say hello.

The ramen was great, the server was not, the lady server in a pony tail and a hair clip on top gave a POOR SERVICE. She was not courteous enough to serve and even to apologize, she doesnt put orders on the table gently and when she got the bowls to clean the soup spilled on the table and some to the customer and only when she was told of what she did, did she apologize INSINCERELY! as if nothing happened!!! To the manager please take note!

A disappointment. Visited other locations previously and found the menu the same. However, when ordering the seafood ramen, was told it is only seafood flavor, no actual seafood, contrary to our experience in the other location. When asked about the difference, the reply was, "different franchise." So, same name, same menu, but different ingredients depending the franchise...

The ramen was fantastic for the price, but you have to be OK with pork. The wait staff wasnt very attentive, otherwise I would give another star. The kitchen was quick with food. Outside of the vegetarian ramen, everything has pork, including the beef ramen. They charge extra if you switch out the pork broth to vegetarian in the beef ramen.

サンフランシスコ空港近くのホテルに宿泊した際にラーメンを食べにこちらのお店に行きました。日本人からしても美味しいとんこつラーメンで満足できました。

The premium pork ramen MEAT was good (very tender and very lean) but that was about it. Both our bowls were consisting of at least 50% bean sprouts so it felt like a bit of a rip off and the noodles/broth that we did get was pretty average. Service was fast.
