I will inform you now, go buy Top Ramen or Cup N Noodle. I want to give this place a zero star. You can make better then this establishment. And there "award winning green tea" tasted like old dish water, dirt and Earthworms. Now we thought that wed give this place a shot because it said it offered Sushi and Ramen. We get in the place is not that cleanly. Its freezing and they have the air going obviously because its a noisy unit in the ceiling. We get seated and we sit for about 15 minutes, the waiter gets us our order, my friend asks about the sushi, and they waiter says our sushi guy isnt in. Well how do you expect to sell sushi? Well thats because they had only two choices of sushi. So my friend ordered a beef and rice bowl. I also ordered their famous green tea. So we sit for about an hour or so, or so it felt like, and i noticed that when we came in a mom and her two kids had been sitting at the counter, they looked like they were waiting for their food. As we were sitting the lady and her kids got up and she looked pissed and walked out. They had there eating utensils and soup spoons still sitting there untouched, no empty bowls of noodles. We were sitting there for awhile i didnt get my green tea. I asked for my green tea and the guy didnt even remember that i ordered one. So we got our food finally and disappointed. I could have went home and made Ramen myself. We ate or food. Not very much becasue it was not tasteful. And we got up and went to pay. The woman didnt split our bill and i ended up swiping my card mulitpule times to pay for different items. She was RUDE. I wanted to leave at that point and not pay. It wasnt worth how much I paid. I saw also that the kitchen was disgusting as i was paying. I wish i hadnt gone. Horrid choice and i will tell anyone not to go. When we got back to my car we where in there for two hours. And that was waisted life.

Usually pretty good, but had a poor experience with slow waitstaff. Went in at around 11:45 and was immediately seated. Unfortunately it wasnt for another 10-15 minutes that I received a glass of water and then by 12:15 no one had bothered to take my order so I decided to leave. I dont think this is indicative of how Samurai Noodle typically is however this was my personal experience today. My go to orders are the Shouyu or Pork Rice bowl. Update: Ordered the Shouya with Chicken and it was nothing noteworthy. Very simple dish with only Chicken broth, green onions, noodles and a cutlet of chicken. The chicken was somehow incredibly dry, despite being submerged in broth. It was almost as if they put the chicken on the receiving end of a hydraulic press to extract it of all its potential flavor. RIP chicken. Otherwise service this time was par and general experience was good.

Went in to order the spicy garlic dish that came with rice. I asked if I could substitute ramen instead. When the waitress left to place my order she quickly came back and told me the cook could not modify my order..I have always done this at the Broadway location without a problem. She never even asked me to pay more for the substitute because I would have...what kind of resteraunt does not do substitutes to keep their customers.....food was good service was bad...never going back.

went there last night with a party of 5+ people and the food was great, but it was to worst service that i have ever encountered, ordered drinks and never received them had to ask 3 times for chopsticks got up twice and had to ask for water refills... for a place that small to have good food the restaurant should focus more on there customers and hoping that theyll return... very unhappy, my entire family was very unpleased with this place and we eat out a lot...

Slow service. Salty ramen. Japanese ramen tend to be too salty for me. However some places have low-salt option and that works great. I told the waiter i wanted low salt. I dont think he heard me, even though he said ok, since my ramen came out about as salty as my significant others. Would not come back since there was nothing that stood out and there are many other ramen restaurants out there.

I like the pork rice bowl. Thats the only item Ive ever ordered in all of my three times that Ive eaten there. I like that each table has sesame seeds that you can put in your food. I sprinkle a handsome amount into my pork rice bowl each time. Service can be a little slow. I dont like sitting on the wooden stools because my back starts to hurt after no support.

Food is good, but not authentic level. Service is pretty good and fast, although theres been some trouble with a getting drink orders correct in the past. If youre looking for the medium step between authentic Japanese ramen and top ramen, this is the place to go in the U district. If youre a little more mobile Santouka in Bellevue may be a better choice.

A quiet place that doesnt stand out too much. The tonkotsu is good and doesnt stand out too much. The noodles are thinner and pork is quite good. The egg was okay, however it isnt very flavorful. The ramen portions are smaller than most though. The karaage is quite light and flaky compared to most karaage which was interesting to have.

This place is one of my favorite restaurants. The egg in the sumo bowl is sooooo perfect. I love the chicken ramen too. My favorite menu item is the takoyaki, the texture is PERFECT. Crispy on the outside, gooey octopus goodness on the inside. This is the kind of food that takes real skill to make. Thank you for letting me experience it!

Love this place! Its a pretty small restaurant with the most delicious vegan and vegetarian ramen I have ever eaten. Super flavorful, despite the soup not being the usual meat based broth - which causes many vegetarian ramen dishes to taste sad and bland. The staff is mostly UW students, and everyone is very friendly and accommodating.

The service was okay, but the food was mediocre at best. For 17 bucks, the pre-tax/tip cost of a bowl of tonkotsu ramen with a couple slices of extra pork, a soft boiled egg and some extra bamboo shoots/nori/green onion, it kind of sucked. Id take the money, buy the ingredients, and make it yourself if I were you.

Foods pretty good when hungry, but recently the service hasnt been great. Had to wait at least 20 minutes or so for a bowl, when it didnt seem too busy. Also got a bowl wrong (spicy miso, without the spiciness added). Prior to this new school year service wasnt this bad.

Decent food. Was skeptical at first because of below average Yelp reviews but gave it a try. It was not the best ramen I have had but not bad at all. Plus they have a bar which is helpful when you had a long day & want to enjoy a pint of beer w/ your food

Just had a delicious Spicy Tofu Ramen special there for $9. Big (had left-overs), creamy and wonderful. And the green tea was just right! Service was awesome during the lunch hour and the meals came out in 5 minutes. All together great!
