I went to Blue Star for brunch. I was impressed with the menu as it has just about every option you could ever want on it. The environment is big and open and we were seated almost immediately. Upon ordering I got a biscuit with my meal that was huge and delicious. One of the biggest biscuits Ive ever seen. It was great. The only reason I give Blue Star a 3 star rating is because of the service. It was a Friday morning and not very busy, however, the service was quite slow. It took almost 20 minutes just to put our order in. Luckily we were not in a hurry. Overall, I had a good experience with the food and an ok experience with the service. I will go back for a second try.

Our monthly meetup group was in need of a private room space for 20 people and large enough for a projector/computer set up. The staff was so friendly, attentive and accommodating, even when our headcount turned into 40 as the evening went on. Our waitress rockstar Rachel handled the bustling room so gracefully and nearly by herself! We were not charged extra for the use of the space and we would LOVE to have another gathering there for our club. Parking in the surrounding Wallyford neighborhood is easy as well. Great local beer selection, too.

We used to go to Blue Star all the time but have been 3 times in the last year and have decided not to eat here again. The place is just filthy. I dont think the rug has been vacuumed let alone shampooed in years. The tile floor is dirty. The table was sticky. Yuck. The food was greasy and tasted warmed over. It was served way way too fast to have been cooked fresh. Its too bad because the staff is very friendly and the service and decor are great. But its just too awful otherwise.

I love their burgers , theyre the best Ive found in town and its a really good place for breakfast as well. The salt and sweet of the bacon waffle with the maple syrup is so tasty. Also, the orange juice does not get any better or fresher or sweeter as it is squeezed per order. Id give 5 stars but sometimes the eggs are sunburnt and the green peppers on the Denver omelette are the size of knuckles. What are they thinking?

Great food, amazing omelettes, till this day I always get my California ommelet but not the best service. My sweetheart has never been here before, I decided to bring him for a nice breakfast during brunch I want to say around 1pm on a Monday afternoon, the place wasnt crowded at all just a few tables and I still didnt get as much attention as other customers or that came after me. Again amazing food but not best service.

When I first moved to Seattle in the mid-90s, I loved this place and ate here probably twice a month. I haven’t been here for about 17 years. Boy has it changed. It feels more like an airport restaurant now rather than the fun, energetic place I remember. The food isn’t bad; it’s just generic, mediocre. And, the atmosphere has become just … meh. I get the impression that the owners/managers are just coasting.

Great happy hour and good place for a large group to get food and drinks. They have a great selection of beers and specialize in comfort food. Try the fried green beans. Known for their breakfast as well. You see lots of rec league teams coming in from Green Lake. In the summer, they have outdoor seating as well. There is also a back room that can be reserved for parties.

Dive Diner & Bar. Place is always clean, but has a very rugged and neighborhood feel. They server all day breakfast, and are a brunch favorite. Even on peak, non-holiday, days, Ive never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a table. And even then, I almost never have to wait. They have a large list of breakfast foods, including weekly specials and an a-la-carte menu.

Great place for breakfast after having a long night out. We both had some great scrambles full of veggies and lots of potatoes on the side with a ton of toast. The only bad side is that sometimes you have to wait (we waited 10 minutes at the most) and the waitress seemed really stressed out, but it didnt effect our service. Overall, another great breakfast place.

Im a vegan. I told my server that I was vegan. My server quickly went through the menu choices with a knowledge base of veganism that was impressive! She and I put together a great vegan lunch which, by the way, wasnt on the printed menu. So go ahead and tell them your vegan, theyll come up with something great! I will certainly return.

Ive wandered in here several times on a hungry whim since moving to the area several months ago. The food was very tasty and well prepared. The menu is diverse and while it is by and large classic American, its a step above greasy spoon. The servers were very nice, even the one time I came in when it was busy.

This is our neighborhood spot for burgers, beer, and family nights out. Id give it five stars but the service is usually slow and inattentive - takes forever for drinks and food to come out, servers rarely check on the customers, etc. If theyd just train the wait staff properly this place would be great!

A local favorite, this place has great standard American fare (both breakfast and dinner have been reliably great) and wonderful staff. It is nearly always busy, though wait times tend to be short. The drink selection rotates and is always great. I love the Anaheim burger and their scones are fantastic!

The space is a throwback and a rare treat. We have kids and there is a great deal on Saturdays for them along with inexpensive growler refills. The food is OK, but not or primary draw. Service is friendly. Grilled cheese and tomato soup is good. Fish tacos are a bit spicy, without warning.

Ive always gone to Blue Star for a drink or to meet family for dinner and its always been good. Today, however, we went for breakfast. It was delicious! I had the hash which had beets, corn, onions and red potatoes and it was a delicious accompaniment to my eggs. Ill come back for breakfast!

Came here for drinks while waiting on Bizzarro and ended up staying and eating! Good food and very good prices for drinks. I would come back here for more! This place offers American staples in a vintage, moderately upscale environment. This place is great for groups in the FreLard area.

Top Gun Scramble, need I say more??? Blue Stars food is amazing. Classic place for a weekend breakfast with family or friends. Blue Star also has an amazing beer selection and their staff is fantastic. This place is usually pretty busy on the weekends but definitely worth the wait.

Decided to check this out due to its proximity and the reviews. Staff was friendly, food was just what you would expect from a diner-esque establishment. Price was set just right. Coffee was extremely weak. Overall a pleasant experience and Id return.

I really like the food here but have to say the service is in desparate need of training. I have worked in the restaurant business for half my working life and my Mom was a waitress for 20 years. They need to do a better job of hiring good staff.
