I have to say this was pretty terrible all around. We went there yesterday for a charity event. After looking at the menu pictures on the website I already had pretty low expectations (the pictures are not appetizing) but I was still disappointed. The Potato nachos were super gross. I went there yesterday and I can still taste them (and yes I brush my teeth and normally have nice breath). All but exactly one of the fried cheese sticks were hollow (all of the cheese must have come out while they were frying?). Another friend got fish and chips. I tried them - they were super greasy though not the worst Ive ever had. The real problem was that I was already feeling sick and gross by the time I left. The friend who got the fish and chips is apparently sick today (thinks it was the fish). The servers and service was nice enough though. If my friend hadnt said he was sick today I would have given it another star for the service.

Ive always had a positive experience at The Chieftain - both during my times as an undergrad at SU and as a working professional. Ive never had a meal I wasnt happy with, the food and drinks are all fairly priced, and the happy hours are great! The staff have always been pleasant, as well. Just today my coworker and I went to The Chieftain for lunch. There was a holdup in the kitchen and it took a while for us to get our food. The chef came out to apologize for the delay personally, and he ended up paying for our lunch. Service like this is just one of the reasons Ill continue to be patron at the Chieftain.

I came here for happy hour with a friend after a long work week. I thought the happy hour specials were really reasonable, and we never had an issue tracking down a waitress to order more food or drinks. Overall a great happy hour place, but I probably wouldnt make it the "main event" for an evening.

One of the Seattle University identity pubs, this is a fun and somewhat gritty bar that caters to the college crowd. Its an Irish pub, so youll always be able to get a good import and whiskey. It had friendly staff and great events. Plus, the food is better than average pub fare.

Ive been going here a few years, once or twice a month on average. The service depends on who is serving, usually pretty good, sometimes excellent. Very good Happy Hour prices and usually a pleasant place to hang out. Usually I feel at home and not pressured.

The waitstaff was very kind and friendly, but it doesnt make up for the food. Fish n chips, Mac n cheese, and a spinach salad. The fish was soggy and bland. The Mac n cheese was too salty to eat. The spinach salad was topped with with too much bacon bits.

We did our fantasy draft here on a Tuesday and it was a great venue for it. They had very tasty $2 tacos and $3 pacificos/coronas. They had trivia going on in the other room and everyone looked to be having a great time. Great bartenders!
