The recent change in owners has brought down the magic of this place. They have kept the original menu and the main dishes are still good, it is the service that is lacking when compared to what it was just six months ago. Also, the dessert shelves are not as well stocked any more. Before there would be a myriad of tortes, creme brulee, and cheesecakes in flavors that changed with the seasons. Now it is just cake and cheesecake so cold that it was half frozen. It is just an average place now and nothing too special. I will probably only stop by whenever I have my car being serviced across the street.

UNBELIEVABLE!! Talk about RUDE!!... Our daughter goes to The French Hen & Bistro (Bridgeport Way SW/Steilacoom Blvd) to pick-up lunch for our staff. The OWNER says, "Sweetheart, you need to TIP accordantly". EXCUSE ME... I never tip when I go to Wendys, Jimmie Johns, or any other place where I order at the counter. The FRENCH HEN rubbed me the wrong way. So, we are BOYCOTTING the place. I just happened to find this Jewel one day while stopped @ the Intersection of Bridgeport Way SW & Steilacoom Blvd. Boy was that my Serindipity!!! It is a very quaint & welcoming spot to have the best lunch in the Northwest! May I recomend the Cranberry Walnut Salad for Lunch follwed by the the BEST dessert Ive EVER had, the Lemon Teardrop!!!! MMMMMMGood!! It will make your day! Chris & Daryl do a fantastic job!! & Tell em Chris with the Lime green bettle sent you in!!! My Mom & I make it a regular stop for our weekly lunches now! 5 star!

Have done other business with the owner, and she is slightly rude and a bit full of herself. With that being said, however~ her chocolates are FABULOUS!! Lunch entrees and salads are pretty good, and not terribly expensive. All in all its not a bad place and Ill still be heading in for lunch every so often (and having a treat after ;o))

Love this place! I love getting the sweet grilled cheese, it is a must have! My husband loved the Bul Go Gi sandwhich, it is his favorite. Owner is super nice and always remembers us since we come here a lot. This place is a must try. Glad we found this place. It is one of my favorite places to come to!

I stopped in to grab something to eat before having my hair done next door. It was a lovely little place, food was good, and the have special chocolates...but go early or call ahead...the chocolates go very quickly!!

The French Hen Bistro is still open, they just moved. I heard this place was great but it was just okay. It was a cute place, the service wasnt anything great, the food was good but overpriced. Yummy desserts!!!

Clean, very nice place to relax waiting for work to be finished at the Les Schwab across the street. Tried the Rick Monster panini and loved it. Will definitely be back when Im in the area next!

After the change in owners the qaulity went down hill. The food is quite underwhelming and the service is as well. Very dissatisfied.
