The wife, kids and I faired okay just now. We had two chicken taco salads and the kids had a plate of mexican pizza and nachos. Food was delivered hot. Kids got their plates aout two minutes before us which was a little odd. Staff was polite. We didnt order drinks (just water) and we actually had dinner for less than $40 bucks including tax and tip. The place was clean. It wasnt noisy or crowded on a Saturday afternoon. The adjoining cantina was quiet. Its a fair dinner location but it isnt what I would consider a 5 star. Wed eat there again.

Well where to start we we seated rather fast order our drinks and than forgotten our drinks did not come till ten mins later by another waitress that noticed how upset we were getting due to going through one basket of chips..appetizer came with food..dr pepper was mixed with root beer soda poured right in front of us..with no offer of exchange..waitress did not check on us..a lady who cleaned is the most attentive..filled drinks ask if we wanted more chips...bad hostess service..bad waitress service

My family loves El Toro. The food is so tasty. The employees are fun, have good humor, kind, attentive, and give each customer individual attention. They are really helpful in keeping children entertained by being quick to bring the kids drinks, their menu and the kids food first. The prices are great, especially for such delicious food. There is a cozy family eating area and a bar towards the back of the restaurant.

The chips were ok. Two different salsas are served rojo (red) and Verde (green). Ok taste for both. The portion size seemed good. The food was ok. If i were rating the food only i would have given 3 stars. However, the staff was courteous and fast at filling the drinks. This is important when eating out and paying for a service. The price was a little more than i thought it would be. The atmosphere was nice.

NO NO NO EL TORO... Low Quality Food, Terrible service, Uncomfortable awkward booths (seats low, tables high) If youre driving on I-5 around Tacoma, Washington, and think about stopping at El Toro Mexican restaurant, do yourself a big favor and KEEP DRIVING!!! We tried the food, it was bland with lots of filler (beans) and no meat. Just enough meat to make us sick. HORRIBLE!!!

My fajita burrito was so greasy I couldnt eat it. Beans were plain, chips were great, salsa was not that special. I would suggest fajitas instead of the burrito. Price is reasonable, but Ill be driving on next time than to stop in. Restaurant with simple and nicely decorated

The chips are made in house and are really good, excellent service, the food we had was excellent, and good portions. 1st time there and will be going back. Only fault I have to comment on is that the tables are to high compared to the booths for a comfortable eating position

Went here for lunch, service was pretty good but the food wasnt very flavorful. Ordered a chicken chimichanga, it was okay, could have benefited from some spices. A coworker had the street tacos, and he said they were really good, so Ill try those next time.

So the staff was wonderful and extremely polite! The food, however, is completely awful. The rice tasted like the pot it was cooked in wasnt completely washed out. I wont be going back to this place :-(tastedchemicals
