My husband and I were sat with one other couple. The other couple got heaping BOWLS of the seasoned rice (literally like 3/4 of what the chef cooked). Why did they get bowls? I only got a small portion on my plate, which left my husband with only a few tablespoons of rice. Seriously, like 2 bites worth. And the chef didnt even make it better and give us some steamed rice or something. The portions are divided insanely unequally. We will NEVER be back, even though this is right near where we live. Truly, I would drive for an hour to a better Japanese steak house than go here again. The food is mediocre and they wont make things right that THEY mess up. Im mad and I wont waste my money or time here again.

Walked in 45 minutes before closing and was trying to make sure that it was OK to come in and the hostesses smiled and told it was fine. We were seated and within minutes felt death stares glaring at me and my date peeking around the kitchen. And heard someone cleaning say "I thought we closed at ten." And since then we felt so uncomfortable from everyone staring at us. Food was good, but forgot a side of steamed rice. If your going to let someone in late please control your staff, it felt like kids complaining because they wanted to go home. Was really looking forward to a happy environment but the whole experience was draining. Would not recommend.

Everyone should experience this at least once in their life! Took our son here for his birthday. The hoods and cook counter/cook surface edges could use a little cleaning, and the service was a little slow. That said, loved our chef, we didnt have to wait too long to get a drink refill, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. They were very busy when we were there, and the staff did their best to meet the needs of all the guests. Overall, we loved our visit! While not something we can do all the time, we will definitely be going back again.

Both times I have been here, they have no record of my reservations. Not only that, but they are rude about it and they dont take responsibility for their unprofessionalism. Food is good if you can tolerate the terrible hospitality and on the entertainment side of things... We had a good experience with on chef and the next time the guy didnt talk at all hardly.. boring. I had a party of 7 on Mothers Day and we had to leave because they lost our reservations

Dirty restaurant, broken chairs. First visit, chef did not put on a show and chicken made us sick. Second visit, we decided to only order veggie plates. We got barely any rice on our plates, while the other couple got full bowls. Poorly seasoned veggies, and we got none of the normal veggies because we ordered veggie plates. Very unhappy, we will not be back, there are better Japanese steakhouses in the area. Do not go here.

they give small potions to some. and larger to others. They will do nothing if you have a complaint and they ignored my daughter, no fills up on the drinks, worst service in a long time. When I called to speak with the manager, the girl who answered lied n said he wasnt in. When I told her why I was calling she says, oh heres manager. what ta hell guys, we are never going back, pretty crappy experience for 75. dollars..

Clenliness is lacking. Friendly wait staff. No sushi. Tempura was tasty. Shrimp was tasty. Steak was low quality. Chicken was tasty. Portions of veggies and rice are large. Protein portions are normal to small. The "show" is the same show from the last 10 years of Hibachi school. Overall a good meal if you know what youre going to. This is not an elegant meal.

Our chef was hilarious. After he found out we were from Chicago he went off-script and we had some great conversation. The waitresses were really friendly and were interested in learning how we were enjoying our visit to WA. Hopefully they can freshen up the decor, but that was irrelevant after the cooking started. The prices felt fair as well. Good spot.

My favorite hibachi place is south of Tacoma, so imagine my excitement to find a comparable restaurant right here in Everett! The fried rice is good, the orange sauce is pretty spot on, and the rest of the meal was tasty. The performance by the chefs there is lackluster, but good enough. Its a pricey place for Everett, but not for a hibachi restaurant.

We went to Kyoto for the first time last week and it was a great experience. Our chef was a lot of fun and really made the evening pleasant. This place is a lot of fun and would recommend to others. The only downside if any was the appearance inside. They could use to spruce the place up a bit but other than that, we had a great time.

After 14 years of visiting the restaurant, last night was my last. Everything about the place was a disappointment. Burnt food, tough meat, horribly long wait to get food, when restaurant was near empty. Cook was sloppy and a very poor entertainer. Very sad to see this since this had been a favorite of my family for years.

Refused to honor the RESERVATION !!! Called 2 weeks and 2 days in advance and confirmed reservation yet Sat when we arrived they gave our table to Taylor! Our phone number was the one they listed for Taylor as well. Management refused to see their error, and ruined a birthday for a special family member. Sad sad management!

I have been going to Kyoto for 12 years now (when it used to be Tokyo Ninja). The staff is friendly and the food is incredible. My wife and I had our first dinner date there, and even now after having our first daughter still go back regularly so our daughter can enjoy the experience and her baby sized portion of zuchinni.

I absolutely have to write this review. I used to go to Tokyo steakhouse all the time then a friend took me to Kyoto and I have never gone back to Tokyos. The steak cuts at Kyoto are awesome I wasnt too fond of the veggies but the steak made up for it and the price was comparable to tokyos. Great place to eat!!! 5 ⭐️

If I got to choose one last meal before I died it would be here. Me and my military buddies used to come here, im the only poor bastard still left in Everett but they all envy my access to such amazing grub. Put the yum yum sauce, or whatever it is....the pinkish one on the fried rice. Its incredible.

Made reservations to avoid the wait.......Ive now been sitting here an hour waiting for "this" to start. I have, however been able to watch the folks across the table enjoy their meal....always great! They need to staff up...the price they charge is not worth the lack of service....very disappointing.

Food was awesome and the cook gave a great show the kids loved it, and for a family last minute gathering they were able to accomadate us even though we didnt have reservations. That doesnt mean you should just show up anytime be curteous and make a reservation. We just had no idea you had to.

Great food, decent service. The chef was amazing and entertaining. My 16 month old daughter loved the food and was content for the full hour and a half that we were there, which is very rare. So if she is happy, so am I. Definitely will go there again.
