One sign of a good/quality establishment is consistency. Unfortunately I can not say this is true for Miyabi Sushi in Tukwila. My visits have given me opposite experiences and the last visit I made was really bad. I went for lunch with my wife and we ordered a sashimi deluxe 18.50 and the Godzilla roll $16. The sashimi came out first. The tuna smelled unfresh and cuts were not good. Previous experience with their food was good so I expected same. Unfortunately it didnt get better. Ive ordered Godzilla roll before and loved it so ordered it again. First, it took 20 minutes (maybe more) after the sashimi plate came out so we waited a long time. Even the waitress came to us twice and apologized (nice gesture). If the roll came out as expected after the long wait it might have been ok. The roll came out extremely small and looked like an amateur made it. Maybe a newly trained chef made it? It was underwhelming. A 16 dollar roll should look and taste like a 16 dollar roll especially if they take so long to make. I let them know in a nice email about the experience and the answer I got in a nutshell is come back and try us again. Sorry if I drive out of my way to visit and i am not sure what my experience will be like I dont think Ill give you another chance. There are many quality sushi restaurants in seattle.

Ignore the low ratings for this place. Those people are either ridiculous or the management has done a 180. I went there last night. Great service. Amazingly tasty sushi. Is the place cheap? No, but if you want cheap sushi you can go elsewhere. Expect $12-15 per roll, for example, but the rolls have 10+ pieces on them. $20-25 would fill just about anyones belly. Service was great. They werent pushy and gave us time to figure out what I wanted. They also didnt ignore me and make me wait any longer than needed in order to place my order. My server was very helpful and friendly and even suggested the guy I went with started with one roll plus appetizer rather than just try to sell as much as he could/inflate his tip. Much appreciated. I really wanted to try the dessert here - the mango cheesecake looks intriguingly tasty - but was too full. By the time I got back to my hotel I was glad I didnt get any more. The only exception I could see for someone not giving 5 stars is if you arent a Seahawks fan...theres a ton of Seahawks memorabilia/objects around the restaurant but thats the only thing "wrong" with this place /:)

Me & somebody went to this gross nasty place. Dont believe the high score hype. The waiter was really annoying i asked for buck wheat cold noodle/with seaweed shavings on top. The waiter kept saying they dont have it. Then i said its part of the lunch special. Then she said ooh & finally gave it. The mushroom also in my soup dish was overly soggie i couldnt eat it i spat it out in napkin. My friend had a hair crusted to her sushi dish. She called the waiter yet the waiter told her like wise saying it was part of the enamel dish loudly. Then my friend said to me look it really is hair its crusted to the dish. I scrapped at it then i saw it was really black hair coming uncrusted from the dish. I called the waiter back & she scrapped it. I then said I will pay tell them its nasty & my friend aint eating out a dirty dish. She then told us she will give it for free. I paid around $112 bucks in money for all my other dishes cause i aint trusting those fools with my card. Even though i used that much cash they showed no respect. Im not going back. i didnt order cheap dishes yet they are nasty.

This is sushi place is highly recommended in the Tukwila area. We went here for a co-workers birthday and she really talked it up, so I had some pretty high expectations for this place. Walking in, you will notice that the inside is very nice. Like typical Japanese restaurants, they greet you in Japanese and are very friendly. They had a few TVs and the bar area was already full. The bar area definitely looked like the area to be in for lunch. Other than that, Im not sure what all the hype is all about because I did not think the food met my expectations. I had a rainbow roll and some california rolls and they were slightly above average (Granted, I go to places like Japonessa and Wasabi Bistro pretty frequently). Pair that with the outrageous price and you have a pretty overrated sushi joint. I do want to mention that they have a lot of selection within their menu. They offer not only sushi but tempura, teriyaki and udon as well.

Having dined at this establishment on numerous occasions I was very, very dissapointed with my latest visit on a recent Saturday night. Miyabi has made very severe cutbacks in the quality of their product. No more hot hand towels, green tea by the cup, sans pot and a Bento box that has been drastically reduced! My first thought when the food arrived after a "long wait" was "wheres the sashimi and sushi"? This feature has been eliminated. The portion of tempura was underwhelming, one piece each of shrimp, sweet potato and onion (no broccoli or green beans). The food display was totally low budjet for a premium price$$$. For ambiance, Miyabi has added a very annoying accordian player that doesnt know a single Japanese song. I thought I was in Germany listening to an om-pah band. In the future, my money will be spent elsewhere.

Masa-san and his crew will take excellent care of you at this wonderful, little restaurant just south of Southcenter mall, next to Half Price Books. Hot dishes and sushi are delicious here. My favourite is the Uni Shot ($8) - uni, quail egg, shiso leaf and yuzu combine in a delicious bite. I count myself among the fans who could eat multiples of this for a meal. They have an extensive maki (roll) list with innovative combos for each sports team in the area: Go Sounders!, Go Seahawks!, etc..in addition to more common Rainbow & Spider rolls - all in about the $10 range. They offer Omakase here (chefs choice sushi or sashimi or maki) you indicate what style you want and what you want to spend and they will make you something delightful! *PUNCH CARD ALERT: check in 10 times and get $10 off your next order!*

This place is simply great, the food and the service is outstanding. We went there today and they had a summer festival with games and prices! The games are simple and traditional, you can win from a $100 certificate to a roll of toilet paper, the choices are endless and above all FUN. Ive had Toro and Takoyaki in other east side Sushi bars but Miyabis was the best so far, the bill wasnt too expensive either I thought it was a steal for the amount of food me and my friend had. Note that this is a place takes its time to make their meals, every piece of sushi was perfect, if you are looking for a fast food sushi place then you should go to SushiLand. Youll wait for your order but its SO WORTH the wait for the quality of food, everything is made on order even the Takoyaki.
