While eating there this evening with my husband I saw through the door into the kitchen a woman mixing a large bowl of something. And older Mexican woman dipped her two fingers into the bowl and stuck them in her mouth to taste the food. She again stuck them back into the bowl to taste it again. She obviously knows nothing about food safety. And in my opinion thats an immediate firing offense. Perhaps the health department should look into the health practices of this Diner immediately. This is not only unsanitary but completely disgusting to eat something thats been in somebody elses mouth.

Went here with my husband after completing a hike in the area. The prices were decent and my husband enjoyed his food. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and asked them to keep it away from the meat because I am a vegetarian. We were sitting at the bar and watching them make it, and it was TOUCHING HAM! I took one bite and immediately pushed it aside when I tasted ham. Also, they only take cash, but dont have a sign anywhere so you dont find out until you try to pay with a card.

My family is all from Warrenton /Rappahannock area and Frost Diner is a generational institution. I grew up with my grandfather coming here for a meal and its been our bellies since we were tots. Its a true diner with red vinyl booths, cash only and good home style food you could ask for. Open 24/7, on Thanksgiving youll see the cooks stacking up boxes of carry out for folks to take home and eat for their dinner. If you stop by get the fried chicken its SO GOOD.

This is a great place to stop if you are on the go. You really have to try the steak and eggs. The second best this is the Itialian sausage and eggs. There is a reason it hard to find a seat for breakfast. Another plus is that it open 24 hours and your can get breakfast lunch or dinner anytime. Burgers for breakfast no proplem.

I enjoy the food here overall, but their customer service is not the best. I asked if I could trade coffee for a glass of OJ (not a big coffee drinker) and the answer was a firm "No, we dont do that." Ugh.. really? Good food though! Also, they still do not take credit cards.. definitely stuck in the 50s lol.

I LOVE IT. Absolutely great service for any time of day. I love that it is open 24 hours so that even when I get off work at 11 or 12 I can still grab a bite to eat. The staff are outstanding and the food is quickly served and fantastic. I definitely will be coming back here again and again!

I travel a lot and I stop here any time Im in the area. Best burger on either coast. It doesnt look like much, but their food is amazing. Bring cash, they dont take cards. I *think* theres an ATM in the entryway, but Ive never used it, so Im not 100% sure thats what it is.

My wife and I go here at least once a week and love it. I will admit that it is nothing fancy but good old country food at 1990s prices. We usually have a combined check of $20s or less and both have to go boxes to go due to the food volume. GREAT DEAL.

Awesome little place! A real diner with that old diner feel. Food was great and made to order. Music plays while you eat and it is a great selection on music. The quality of food, portions and price were awesome as well! Definitely will visit again!

This restaurant always makes me go back in time. The food is consistent and the service is adequate. Get the specials they are always good. I have eaten here alot and have never been unhappy. Come on its a diner what type of food do you expect.

This is the classic diner. The real American deal. This place has been open for so long its a historical landmark. The service is always great, though Sundays its often packed so you may have to wait for a seat, but trust me, its worth it.

Its an original, silver chrome clad car, 6-7 booths, round swivel counter seats, basic home cooking, cash only. A dying breed! You can eat, looking through the grimy windows at the Burger King across the road. Such contrast!

It was ok...homefries reminded me of hospital food and so did the eggs...NO seasoning..bread looked like it had been used as a wiffleball and the Bacon I swear was a few layers of colored saranwrap...lol

Awesome breakfast. We just happened upon this place on a trip back from the mountains to DC. The biscuits and gravy were out of this world, as was pretty much everything else on our plates
