Sadly, I feel that I must amend my former 5-star Rating! Returned to The Blue White and asked if the scrambled eggs on the "Great Day!?" Breakfast sandwich be ordered with egg whites, as Im no particular fan of egg "Yucks"!! I was informed by the counter server that "We dont do egg whites; we have Egg Beaters"! I explained to her that Id just eaten egg whites yesterday, while dining there! She calls on the manager and asked if they "doing egg whites again, because I had claimed to have been served them the previous day ". His response was "Well, he shouldnt have been!!" Even if the food is good and I may have been served something that was not ordinarily on the menu; there was absolutely no attempt st customer satisfaction!; which is something that I cannot abide! For this reason Ive lowered my original rating to, at best, a 3 out of 5! My advice: always try and sit at a booth or table and never, never order from the lady at the counter! The other servers are much nicer!!!! ORIGINAL REVIEW: As a devout "Food Snob/Former Pro Culinare"; I must agree with most of the reviews. Visiting Martinsburg for the 1st time; while helping my sisters family move here! I was craving a good breakfast. Googled "10 Best places to eat breakfast" and this place caught my eye! The reviews were on point, plus it was.2 miles from my location! What a find! Great food, friendly curtious service and great prices. What more could a hungry guy ask for?!

Just what I expected from a restaurant in downtown Martinsburg. This place was dirty, smelled bad and the wait staff was rude, inattentive and arguing amongst themselves. The food was average diner quality and similar to what you would get at Waffle House. It took us 15 mins to get a check after our table was cleared. I know this because I was trying to get the hell out. The price for the portion size made this place over priced to sum things up.

There aint nuthin like good ol tymy restaurants, US style, with booths and soda fountain chairs! And this one is it. Our place was that booth in the back. And we loved it. I can still remember (last time was there, was probably 9 years ago, I live overseas) looking at those homemade pies, Yepper, Lemon Meringue pie!!!! GREAT place. You feel like you stepped into the 50s!!!! Great food and atmosphere!

If the staff can refrain from adjusting clothing, of a personal nature, prior to handling food service without washing hands. Or refrain from discussing staff woes and gossiping in front of the customers it would be better. As far as being a small town eatery/diner this is it. Food is good and worth a try. The tugs and adjustments could be done without.

We love their food, it has always been delicious. The ladies that work there do a great job. They are always super busy so we know that we need to call earlier to place our lunch order for pick up. It takes about 20-25 minutes rather than the 15 minutes they tell us. We understand, so it isnt a problem at all.

For classic American diner food, this place is spot on. They make their pies in-house, and they make their own soup of the day as well. ALWAYS get the Maryland Crab soup if available. Very affordable for what you get. Best value: Banana Split. Worst Value: French Fries

Literally the best burgers I have ever had. Their pies are also amazing too. Theres this one chocolate chip cookie pie that is rarely available but it is to die for. Also their loaded potatoes are heavenly. I would live in the diner if I could.

The staff are extremely friendly. Joking with the whole family. The Chicken fried steak is one of the best I every had. And if you get a salad get the house dressing never had anything like it. Really wish they would bottle it.

Its the best comfort food I have had since moving here to West Virginia. Im from Oklahoma so I think I know a thing or two about comfort food. The bbq sauce could use some work, but I blame the region. Sincerely, Joe

Amazing food. Gem of a place. If you are looking for a home cooked meal away from home, this the place. Pancakes like Grandma would make and chicken and burgers like Dad would grill.

Very good food. The service was good too. Pricing was OK and parking a challenge. But over all, a good experience. Try the strawberry French toast.

Prices have risen over the years but Im in there a couple of times a week for their deluxe mini burgers. Better than White Castle and bigger.
