If you expect the kind of service you receive at a commercial restaurants like PF Changs, Macaroni Grill, or Bonefish Grill.... then dont go to Pungo Grill then write a horrible review about it on here. It doesnt do this place justice at all. This place is a hidden gem that allows my family to get away from the strip and eat some great food. I was down here in 2009 and he still hasnt lost his touch. Its great food and a wonderful unique atmosphere. Wayne will make it is mission to ensure you enjoy your food. Dont come here if you dont have any patience. This is a place you come to on vacation.... when you have time to sit down with your friends or family... enjoy a conversation over drinks.... and taste some great food. If youre not on any schedule, be sure to stop by his place and be sure to try out his deserts. If you dont.... youre only committing a crime against your own taste buds.

I was greatly disappointed! There was no air conditioning. Who has no air conditioning in 100 degrees weather sitting down to dinner? The she crab soup was terrible. I had the stuffed shrimp and it came with potatoes, cooked vegetable medley which was way overcooked. How can these people say the food is good? It wasnt the worst food that Ive had but I will not return. It did take a long time and I can deal with the wait but it just wasnt worth it. Although the owner was quite personable along with the staff, it just isnt enough to save this restaurant.

If you are looking for a fast food or chain resturaunt experience, this is not the place for you. If you want to be served by friendly ,social people and enjoy a very relaxed night out with a delicious food served, go to the Pungo Grill. We vacation in the area for many years and regret only discovering it several years ago. Each meal and drink is made special for you.

What a great place. I went with a group and had the best time. Food was awesome. Gotta try the Mac and Cheese. Really chill place with pool table, corn hole. $2 beers... My only complaint is the drinks are to strong..... 15 min drive from ocean front.
