Just stayed at the Hyatt this past weekend. On check in the guy behind the desk told us The Blue Point is renowned for its seafood. The crab bisque contained very little crab. Crab dip was ok, and did have crab, but was just ok. The menu posted online did not contain a lot of seafood but gave it a try. Only to find out the menu posted on line was for another restaurant in the hotel and the Blue Point still did not have many choices just some fish. Ordered a whole Vermilion Snapper. It came out smelling pretty fishy, just means its old, it wasnt fresh fish. It was dry and just tasted ok at best. I thought at first I was getting Red Snapper but I discussed it at length with the server. I did that because his Indian accent was so thick I had a hard time understanding him. Not being mean, just the truth. We were thinking about taking desert back to the hotel. Only to watch through the kitchen window to see one of the cooks pull an already made desert pastry out of the frig and wipe off the bowl and put it in the microwave. We went back and got desert at the hotel which wasnt good either. Its a decent hotel. Just dont expect good food.

We have a group of friends that would come out to Blue Point each week during the summer for the deck party two years ago. We tried it again last year and found the prices had increased and food was terrible, i.e. minimal crab in the crab dishes and dried out chicken wings with a dip on the side rather than the normal chicken wings. We decided after a second try that we would not go back. Tonight we tried once again, with our group of 10 which narrowed to 8 after finding there were no specials, we were less than thrilled. The website advertised crab boil and steamed crabs. We were one of the first patrons to rive and the crab boil was no longer available. That is very hard to believe with only 4 tables filled. We did find put there was only one crab boil available at the beginning of the night. The ribs and poblano pepper was delicious, so the chef does have talent. We all love the view, but they need to be able to provide better service and definitely have what they are advertising.

Great views of the water if you sit outside or near the windows. Delicious corn muffins served for dinner. There is a bar area and lots of seating inside and out fun. This is one of the restaurant on the property where are the Hyatt Regency is located and has limited openings in the off-season. I have stayed at this Hyatt multiple times and found that blue point is typically closed in the beginning of the week unless it is summer time. The restaurant is very attractive inside with nice high ceilings bright colors and unique ceiling fans. They even have a cool fish shaped crayon holder for the kids. If you are staying at the Hyatt or passing through Cambridge its definitely a great place to stop and eat they do offer live music from time to time.

The restaurant is really nice and has a coastal flair, great view and the service was great. However, the food didnt really meet the expectation. The Maryland Crab Soup had maybe 3 tiny pieces of crab and no old bay. The waitress gladly took it back. I then opted for the crabcake sandwich which again not the best Ive had, smushed flat, no lump crab and filler, pretty sure no old bay at all. While we are used to higher prices living outside of Ocean City, this was a bit on the high side for the quality of food received.

We put in our names to be seated, they said they would come find us once our table was ready, 25 min later I had to ask if a table was ready and there was one ready so they seated us. I ordered a side salad with a piece of salmon, it was $32. It took 20 minutes for us to get our initial drink order. My husband also tried to order the crab boil, and they said they didnt have it (then why is it on the menu?)

Ist experience at this restaurant.... Will not be our last!. The view is spectacular and even better at sunset... The view was only out done by the dinner and the service. Our server Grace was well named at birth, she was a delight and full of Grace. Thank you for an awesome experience.... We are local...and will be back!

Food was good and service was good, however, had an issue with reservation. I called number listed and made a reservation as suggested. They even called back to confirm, but when we arrived they said we didnt have a reservation. .make sure u get the name of who u talk to.

We loved this restaurant so much that we ate there three nights in a row. The food was amazing, the presentation and service were superb. Jackson, the manager, Peteris, the bartender and Dem Dem, our server all made the experience so enjoyable. I highly recommend it!

Fish tacos were clearly frozen, cold in the middle but still cooked fish. Creamy crab bisque was good except there wasnt any crab in there. Best bet is fast food in town.
