We tried to go for lunch, and it was NOT busy. After waiting for 40 minutes and watching others enter, sit, and be served and eating, we spoke up about our dissatisfaction as our order had not yet been taken. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, we waited another 20+ minutes for the food (there were only 3 of us); the appetizer we ordered came out cold. The meal was finally served and one of the dishes was not correct, to which they implied that was OUR fault. After another round of expressing our dissatisfaction, we left having never touched our food nor having received the correct order to replace the wrong one. FOUR PEOPLE followed us to the truck and surrounded us and verbally assaulted us and even went as far as to open the truck door to curse at us! Had we not had a toddler in the car, wed have contacted the police and waited for their arrival. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE unless you enjoy poor customer service, rude employees, and being ignored.

My wife and I ate at Han Woo Ris tonight (20 Mar 2014) and it was a wonderful experience. When you first walk in, the restaurant looks spartan, but what it lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in the quality and quantity of the food. We ordered a Korean style vegetable and seafood pancake for an appetizer and then we both had soups for our main meals. The portions were monsterous, probably the biggest bowls Ive ever seen in a restaurant, and there were plenty of noodles, fish, seafood, and vegetables to stuff me to the gills. Im 65" and weigh about 225, so it usually takes a lot to fill me up but I was pabalo when it was time to leave. The waitress was very helpful, we didnt have to wait long for our food, and she even more than willingly gave us directions to a local international market since we are not from the area. Finally, there is easy off-street parking and the price was modest for the amount of food we received.

Were fond of Korean food, so I was very happy to find that there was a Korean restaurant very close to my hotel. My wife and I stopped in tonight for dinner, and enjoyed it immensely. Never having visited Korea, I cant say if the food is authentic, but it was very, very good. The Tang Soo Yook compared well with the other places Ive had the dish. I particularly liked the asian pears (I think) that were included instead of more standard vegetables. As other have said, the decor is not exceptional, but the service was top notch. We felt welcomed, and never found ourselves sitting and wondering how to get someones attention to get something. Highly recommended, and its definitely on my list for the next time Im in town on business.

As soon as I came in I wasnt greeted but I said hello. A staff behind the counter said one second and never came back. I checked my email at the counter and didnt realize I had waited 10 minutes and still had not been helped. I left without being serviced, I just came for takeout. There was no way I was going spend $50 for takeout for my family, and hunt someone down from the back. So, I went to 757 Korean BBQ and got great service and food. I am new to the area so I came to the closest Korean BBQ spot. Well 757 Korean BBQ is my new favorite.

Delicious food!! Best Korean food Ive had in Virginia. Authentic and fresh. I definitely recommend the mussel soup appetizer, which was flavorful and generous and the bulgoki served on a hot, stone plate. The bibim-gooksoo, which is a cold noodle plate was very well seasoned and a perfect entree for hot weather. The prices are fair and though the service could use some improvement it had a nice atmosphere. Definitely coming back.

What an excellent dining experience! I had the Kang Poong Gi chicken, extra spicy. I dont believe this meal couldve been prepared better. All the vegetables were fresh as was the chicken. The mix of different flavors on your pallet provides for quite a culinary journey. I even found some pineapple in the sauce, perfect amount of sweet & spicy! I highly recommend & will definitely be back! Thank you!

The food was delicious! ...but I ordered Samgyeopsal and was presented with already cooked pork, no lettuce or Ssamjang, and not a lot of other accompaniments. I had to specifically ask for the stuff. For those who dont know Samgyeopsal, the presentation was fair and is very good for the price! But I was willing to pay twice the amount for the full experience... grilling the meat and everything.

Found this place a few months ago. Ive been to every Korean restaurant in the area. I like them all, but this one is great. Ive been back several times including twice in a two day period. The food is authentic and awesome. The service is great and they didnt hesitate to refill my banchan. I find it hard to believe that Julie and Marty ate at the same place Ive been going to.

The taste of the dishes is quite intriguing (especially for someone who does not eat Korean food every day, reads for it, cooks it etc). For example I did not expect that the kimchee is a bit chilly. I would like to give more examples but I just could not remember the names of all the things I gave a try. I will definitely visit again for more surprises!

It took us three hours to get dinner here while other people came in, were served, and left. We also had only one refill of water during this time as the wait staff very obviously did not check on us. It was such an incredibly uncomfortable experience, especially with the other people being served around us, that I felt compelled to write this review.

The most authentic Korean restaurant around Virginia Beach. Staffs members are so friendly and find the needs of customers. Never disappointing. Food is amazing and the quality is unbelievable. Very clean and pleasant area to bring family and friends. I give my utmost recommendation as far as Korean restaurant!!!

Stopped by the restaurant on my lunch break and didnt even know it was there. I rarely drive on that road on that road and Im glad I did today. I ordered the spicy pork and man was it delicious. I love the potatoes that come with the sides. The kimchi was flavorful and the portions were great.

Their food is GREAT and the service impeccable!!! As a lone diner, I dont feel out of place when I go there, as I know in the Korean culture eating alone is rather frowned upon. I am made to feel valued and respected, even if I mangle the words when ordering.

The restaurant may seem not so promising since its in a small shopping center but this place is a gem. The food is great and the prices are okay. The staff is very friendly and helpful when choosing from the menu. Would definitely go again.

I have been going here for years. A new couple bought the place and made it look very nice. They are extremely friendly and the best part is, the food is still authentic and delicious. Lunch prices are extremely reasonable. Love this place

The kimchi soup tasted less than authentic. Similar to ordering a burger in another country only to find out that it doesnt taste like an authentic American burger - but its close. Everything else was slightly better than okay.
