First of all let me put it out there, that Im a native korean. I order a soup called yuk gae jang, because it reminded of my childhood memories. This soup is suppose to be full of meat, veggies, and flavor. I make this dish atleast once every one or two months. I was eating my soup at this restaurant, and there was no flavor extremely watery. I was like fine, and then I was looking for meat in my soup. Only three small pieces of meat the size of a babys pinky. At this point Im insulted. I ask the waitress hey I only got 3 pieces of meat because come on its a freaken beef soup!!!!!! I wasnt hostile but her response was this soup doesnt come with a lot of meat. Lol. Moral of the story the bill was 32. I tipped 2 dollars out of anger when she asked me is something wrong when I asked for the bill. I am one of the most generous tippers. I usually tip 8 to 15 dollars in mom and pop korean restaurants depending on how much I spend. Average I usually spend is about 20 something. Anywho, the good parts of this restaurant it is the meats. The meats are well marinated so I cant complain. The reason for the one star is for the disrespect especially to another korean. Its a small community of Koreans. Shouldnt be disrespecting each other that way. Stay away from yukgaejang.

I first came here with my parents some years back and my dad, who is a restaurant owner himself and RARELY ever goes to eat out, absolutely loves this place. Hes the one that actually recommended going there in the first place. I love Korean food and they certainly get it right every single time. I always recommend this place to whomever asks where they should get Korean food. The only downside is that its so far away from me! I live in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area, but its always an awesome treat to go there for lunch/dinner.

Got here and my expectations was this restaurant must be good since I saw many korean ladies came to this restaurant. I ordered the appetizers (came as sushi) the taste was alright. Then ordered hotpot which supposed seafood and veggies but only squid and tofu with less flavoured. Also, order bulgogi and came out dried. The side dishes werent temptation to finished it as well. Overall the taste were blend nor spicy.

One of my favorite places to eat. I try to go once a week for my foreign food fix. Granted I get the same thing Everytime... but its what I like! Unfortunately I havent found many restaurants that I like here, so I really appreciate this place. Good food and service like a restaurant should! The only thing I dont approve of is their lack of sufficient wait staff support at times.

Diverse menu and delicious food. Kyung Sung has been a go-to for me for a delicious dinner. Their egg drop soup is hearty and flavorful, and I tend to prefer their Dubu Kimchi (spicy stir fried kimchi, tofu and pork). They also have an amazing array of soups and stews. I prefer the Doenjang Jjigae (soybean paste stew) or the Tteokkmanduguk (Rice Cake and dumpling soup).

My wife and I have visited this restaurant over the last 15 years or so. Today we ordered takeout for the two of us as we are now empty nesters. She asked for a receipt as she paid by credit card. The woman there apparently got very angry and noted that she should have asked for that up front. Really! Never again

I went there for dinner on a Saturday with a friend and was really blown away by how good everything was. Both of us got the spicy beef bulgogi with the side dishes and steamed rice. The bulgogi had tons of flavor and was still sizzling on the plate. Were definitely going to go back soon!

Go to this restaurant if you hate eating. This restaurant didnt give my family their straws,Mandu, and fish cakes. When asked for a refund or a replacement for the fish cakes, with great exasperation the server said she would. Several minutes later she walks out and hands me 2 wontons.

They have good food that is not perfectly authentic, but as close as I have had on the peninsula. The dining area that is most used is relatively small, and there is a TV in it. There is a larger dining room that could be reserved for an event. Total time for lunch was 45 minutes.

Ordered the spicy beef bulgogi (매운 불고기), and it was delicious! The side dishes (반찬) were a welcomed change to what most other places have. Not a 5th star only due to prices, but maybe I just havent been out for a while or Im just too used to the Mom-n-Pop places in Seoul. - A/ATW

I have been coming here since they opened. I had just come back from Korea and I found the good to be good and authentic and a great value. So here we are years later and they still have excellent good and service.
